Chapter 271: Waiting for recovery...
(A FutureTech/Allied medical triage somewhere in Pennsylvania.)
The place is being guarded and the tour buses not too far, and what is left of the other tour bus is being tossed into a crusher crane. Three Sherman Tanks stand guard outside the main triage building, and also waiting outside are Lincoln, Luna, Sam, Sully, Mazzy, Chunk and Mick Swagger. His band is waiting by the buses, and calling to others about what had happened and about the tour being a total scheme.
Mick Swagger feels bad about this, he never knew what Crest was up to and he should've seen it coming, but he didn't and just wanted to rock n' roll and make music. Lincoln, Luna and Sam, their injuries are minor and have been treated.
Kay, Alisa and Naomi, and their tank crew from Saunders hand them something to eat, and even they feel bad for them about what they had to deal with.
The doctor, Martin McKenzie comes out and they all go towards him. "The wound has been patched up, and we had to do some surgery to get the bullet, it didn't exit her right side and she lost a lot of blood, but she is recovering as we speak and also unconscious. Hard to tell on when she'll wake up. Her left arm is also in a cast, so it would take five to one week to heal. Sorry."
Luna asks. "When can she leave and can we see her?"
Martin explains. "You can see her now, but please be careful and also we will have her discharged tomorrow, should she wake up. But if she doesn't, then we'll have to transport her via dropship tonight." He then lets them through and something comes to his thoughts. 'Though I hate the whole notion of folks calling me a doctor, I'll let this one slide.'
The group see the unconscious Michelle Lewis, on the bed and recovering, with some bandages. Luna and Lincoln sit on the right side, and they both have tears and embrace each other, while holding Michelle's hand. They both want her to wake up, and be alright again.
They all feel bad for them, and they know how much Michelle means to them. Mick Swagger then speaks. "Luna, Linc. I am sorry for what happened, and I wish I knew what the heck was truly going on, but I guess I was blinded by my musical career and wanting to spread music to all. Crest, she did this and made me into a total idiot and fool. Damn it, her."
"At least she's dead" replied Sully.
Sam is also about to speak, but Luna speaks. "Mick Swagger, you are not at fault here and you didn't know what was truly happening. She played you, just as she has done to others, but not to us. You didn't do anything bad, just wanted to be yourself and that's a good thing, a damn good thing."
"But, it is over now and Katie Crest is never ever coming back." She then asks. "So, what about the tour?"
"After what went down, I don't think there would be any reason for us to continue" replied Mick Swagger. "We're gonna stay in Michigan for a while, and then head off back to the UK, but I do wanna have a stern word with your stupid 'rents about their words on you and the others. They are total morons."
"You have no idea" replied Lincoln, and he sounds ticked off. He is still upset about what Michelle had been through and that she almost died.
Luna sighs and she nods. "Seems for the best. Everyone was made into fools, or was almost removed from what that woman was up to. At least, her schemes and plans are gone and nobody else has to deal with her or with Doug Rockwell ever again."
The others also agree, though they wished Katie Crest was locked up and tortured for all she has done, ad they are glad that all evidence of her crimes has been revealed, and that means her name will be tarnished from her history in Hollywood music business. Her legacy and title, are no more.
"Yeah, that is true..." they are shocked to hear that voice, they then see Michelle Lewis is awake and she smiles. "Hey guys, everything is kinda sore right now."
This causes Lincoln and Luna to embrace Michelle and cry in her embrace, and they do so without harming her since she is still recovering, and Michelle has tears as well as she hugs her kids. "I'm glad you two are alright, and fine."
Seeing this, the others decide to give them some time to be alone and so they take their leave. Lincoln and Luna continue to cry as they hug Michelle. "We thought we lost you mom, we thought we lost you."
Lincoln. "Please mom...We don't wanna lose you, ever."
Luna. "We were afraid of... Of what would happen, mom..."
Michelle smiles and she rubs their backs and does what she can to comfort them. "What matters now, is that we're alright and fine. The tour is over, and everything is alright again. We're together, and alive and well."
A/N: Michelle Lewis is doing fine, the tour is over and that means they can go back home and enjoy the rest of the summer. I hope that you all enjoyed reading this newly posted chapter guys.
