After what had gone down the other day, and the words shared with those idiots, time for Michelle to get to the bottom of what Luna meant when she spoke back to Rita, time to know about what had happened last year. Chapter 274: Last Year's argument...
(June 23. The Loud House, Franklin Avenue. Royal Woods, Michigan.)
We see Michelle Lewis, and she still has the cast on her left arm and she is in the living room and watching the news on TV, but she does feel irritated by her cast, and it is getting itchy to her. But then she recalls what happened the other day when they confronted Rita and Lynnard.
Michelle then turns off the TV, and she pets Charles as she walks by and she goes up the stairs, and she knocks on the door of the bedroom of Lincoln and Luna. Now, Lincoln is not there because he is hanging out with his girlfriend, but Luna is here. "Come on in."
Michelle goes inside, and she sees Luna is reading a book while sitting on one of the bean bag chairs. "Hey mom, something the matter?"
Michelle then sits on the bed. "I wanna talk to you, about the other day and there is something else too. What the heck happened last year? What did you mean about the argument which you never forgot?"
That one surprises Luna, and she feels ticked off but then she calms down. Michelle can see, that something is wrong. "You don't have to tell me, I can wait for when you feel like you're ready, Lunes."
Luna sighs and she sits on the bed, and then she tells her everything. "You see, at most of the times I always have an argument with Rita, about me and rock n' roll and it gets super annoying to me, just as persistent and dull headed as Lynnard. But then... Then there was what happened last year, on July and this argument also had something to involve, Lincoln..."
(Flashback, last year July.)
Luna is on the couch, and she finished watching this documentary about the life that lives on the Galapagos Islands, and she is also excited to tell her brother about the Super Mario Movie coming as well, since she knows he is a fan of the game.
Luna knows, she cannot call her brother since he is on a secret date with Jordan Rosato, and he also wants to surprise her with it. She is proud of her little brother, and where he is taking his new steps in life now. Luna takes in this peace and quiet.
Just then, the front door opens and she sees it is Rita. "Oh, Luna. So glad you are here, because I wanna talk to you about something."
Luna knows what this is all about. Rita then speaks. "Now, tomorrow I was thinking that we should go and see the big Mick Swagger concert. It could be fun and..."
"No, I am not going!" said Luna, and she looks annoyed. "I am so sick and tired of that stuff you keep talking about, because I am not into Rock n' Roll, and yet you and dad always do this and don't even bother to hear me out. Count me out of whatever you have planned, and just leave me alone with what I wanna do with my life."
But then Rita speaks. "Luna, sweetie please. We are doing this for your own good. I wanna make sure that all ten of my daughters are going to be truly special in life and..."
"You mean, eleven kids!" yelled Luna, and her hands turn into fists.
Rita then realizes. "Oh, right. Sorry, eleven kids. I always seem to forget about Linc, but he's fine on his own and whatever it is he wants to do..."
But Luna talks back. "Enough of this stupid crap!"
Rita then looks to her sternly. "Luna, do not use that tone on me young lady, and don't raise your voice in the house."
But Luna wasn't having it. "You and that moron you call a husband always forget that Lincoln is here, and is your son, almost like he is nothing to you and that you don't even know that he even exists!"
Rita then speaks. "Luna, stop with the yelling or I will ground you..."
"I don't give a damn about what you say!" yelled Luna in anger. "You keep on trying to get me into Rock n' Roll, and you don't even bother about Lincoln and what he needs, and he needs some attention from you and that idiot cooking dreaming wash out! I wanna know, why the heck would you not even bother with Lincoln and his talents now..."
"Because he has no talent at all!" yelled Rita, and she continues in anger. "I honestly don't care what the heck he has to do for whatever reason, because all I know that he doesn't do much except drawing and his guitar, and there hasn't been a single special thing he has done lately!"
Luna is filled with disgust and horror by those words. But then Rita realizes what she had just said. "Wait... Luna, I didn't mean it..."
Luna pushes her hand away, and she storms up to her room in tears and she slams and locks the door. Rita realizes, she just said the words of what she thought about her son, which is the same thing her husband feels as well. Now, she regrets ever letting Luna know, the truth.
Upstairs, Luna slides onto the floor and she cries. She then covers her eyes, and sobs after knowing the truth, and now she sees that Lynnard and Rita, never did care about their only son, who is Luna Loud's brother. Deep down, she is filled with so much hatred.
'I wish we had a better mother, I wish Rita wasn't our mother! I wish we had a true and supportive mother, one who understands and would never ever do this to Lincoln... What the hell is wrong with those two?!'
(End flashback.)
Michelle is filled with shock, and anger. Now, her hatred for Rita is now deeper than ever, and she wishes she was there that day to beat the living crap out of her, she then sees Luna shed and wipe away some tears, she feels distraught and hurt inside.
"I just... I never did told anyone else about this... Because, it would escalate into more problems and I didn't wanna let Lincoln know or... Or he would be devastated, and things would turn, bad... Worst part...That blonde bitch, never bothered to come and apologize for what she s-said... I just, I hate her..." Michelle goes over, and she hugs Luna, and Luna returns the hug and sobs.
Michelle feels bad for her, and she knows Lincoln would be truly devastated if he found out about that argument from last year. "Lunes, I am so sorry that it all happened, and Rita is wrong. Lincoln is special, in his own way and everything she just said, is too far and completely in the league of child abandonment and neglect."
"Rita and Lynnard may not have bothered about Lincoln and listened to what you have to always say, but I am here now and I love you both, I will not let those words bring you and Lincoln down, and I promise to not tell Lincoln about this. I know, and understand how you feel, Luna."
Luna smiles, and she continues to cry and hug Michelle. "I... I did get my wish, we did get a better mother, and we love you for being that."
Michelle has tears of joy, and she continues to have this emotional hug, with her daughter.
But unbeknownst to them the Loud sisters overheard them, and now they are filled with pure shock from what they now know, and Lori and Leni both feel enraged, and same with Luan and Lynn Jr. They have to speak to Rita when she gets out, and make sure she never does this again, but they all know one thing.
'Luna and Lincoln... They are better off, with Michelle Lewis.'
A/N: Now we know the truth and everything seems to be coming in full circle and this would might as well secure what is going to soon arrive, for what the fate will be for Lincoln and Luna. I hope that you all enjoyed reading this newly posted chapter.
