Chapter 297: Nightmare aftermath...

(July 16. The Loud House, Franklin Avenue. Royal Woods, Michigan.)

Michelle Lewis, is in the living room and she finishes putting away the files of the case closed and done. But then she recalls the other day, and she is concerned about Luna after her nightmare, and she remembers that Luna bunked with her brother last night, afraid of losing him.

'Luna has developed a fear, a fear of what would happen if those two would come back. But that was just a nightmare, and yet it showed her something horrible, something she doesn't wanna deal with, something she has been busy fending off ever since.'

Michelle then stands up, and she goes upstairs. She then goes to the bedroom shared by Lincoln and Luna, she then knocks on the door, but then Lincoln comes out. "Hey, how's Luna doing kiddo?"

Lincoln sighs and he explains. "Luna is a little shaken still, and it could be a while before she can try to recover from what she saw in her nightmare. Heck, hearing about it kinda makes me scared. I don't wanna be taken away from her, mom."

Michelle expected this, and she can see so much concern from Lincoln, she then hugs him and he returns the hug. "Don't worry, I'll handle this." Lincoln nods, and so they depart from the hug and he allows Michelle to go inside and confront his big sister.

Michelle sees, Luna is on the bean bag chair, and so she sits next to her. "Are you doing alright, Lunes?"

Luna sighs. "I just, I don't know any more mom..."

Michelle then sits next to her and she pulls Luna close. "Luna, listen to me. I get it, that nightmare has shaken you to the core, and it seemed legit real almost like it was bound to happen. But, I can assure you, that something like that will never ever happened. You don't need to be so riled up on Rita and Lynnard, those two are not here and not coming out anytime soon."

Luna remains silent, and then she admits something. "I don't want them to come back, and become my parents again... Not after everything they tried to do to me, and after the truth we heard from the many visits. I just... I fear of them reverting back to their old ways, and trying to drive a wedge between me and my brother, something I don't wanna have to deal with or face. I know that they will come back next month, and I don't know what to do if they do."

Michelle then hugs her. "I understand the feeling, and like you, I don't know what will happen if they come back. Will they retain what they learned, or will they return back to their old and stupid ways? Things could turn bad fast, and we wouldn't know what to do... But, what I do wanna see, is if I can make sure that you both become my kids, and then you don't have to deal with those two anymore."

That part, makes Luna feel better, and she returns the hug and sheds some tears. They both stay like this, not knowing that Lincoln, and the rest of the loud sisters overhear this, and are deeply concerned.

Lucy goes over, and she hugs her big brother, because she knows that he is scared too. The others know that soon, Lincoln and Luna will not be around the house, and they're fine with it just as long as they're both happy and with someone who is truly a mother to them, it will be hard but it is the right thing.

(Later in the day.)

Michelle finishes up putting her finished paper work away, and she is in her bedroom. She then gets a phone call and it is from Detective Merris. "Hey, what's up?"

Sandra Merris. "Michelle, the plan is in motion. Everything is all at an accord and FutureTech is also in on this to provide some support."

Michelle is surprised to hear this. "Really?"

Sandra Merris. "For reals, once Lynnard Loud and Rita Loud have been released on August 20, then we will put the whole thing into motion and see if what you have plan will work. But either way, Lincoln and Luna will be your kids."

Michelle feels relieved to hear this. "Thank you, thanks for the information Merris. This means a lot to me, and to Lincoln and Luna." She then hangs up and she sits on her bed, feeling happy.

'Luna won't have to be worried anymore, and same with Lincoln. The nightmare they feared, will never come true anymore because by the end of the summer... Everything will change, forever.'

A/N: Looks like Michelle's big plan is in motion, and one way or another... She will be the legal mother, to Lincoln and Luna! I hope that you all enjoyed reading this newly posted chapter everyone.
