Chapter One Hundred and Sixty-One
Spending the Day in Bed: Time to Relax

To say that Gabby was glad that this was their plans for today, well that would be an understatement; because in her opinion, there's nothing like the feeling of her loving husband holding her in his arms. They both love holding each other close, especially when Gabby isn't wearing a bra, which is exactly what she's doing right now, even though their original plan was to just relax with each other. But with them, relaxing always comes with a bit of sexy time; sexy time which they both enjoy, even though they need to relax. And she is just so glad that they decided to compromise, with her having decided to wear nothing but her underwear; and let's just say that Matt loves the feeling that comes with her being topless in bed, because there's just something about the way they cuddle up to each other when they're comfortable like this. Plus, it's no secret that Gabby likes to tease Matt like that; and that most definitely was exactly what she was in the midst of doing, as he moved his hand to her back and stroked it with his thumb. Oh, now this is pure paradise.

And they both knew it. They both knew that this is paradise, and that they are both extremely happy right now (amongst other feelings they're having right now); the other feeling being a feeling of ease, a feeling of peace and quiet. And that's exactly what they need right now, especially when they're still mourning the loss that they've just learned about; but they're already doing better, because they do have something to look forward to. And that would be their beautiful daughters, their baby girls Bella Grace and Emily Marie. God, Matt already loves those names that they chose for their girls more than anything in the entire world; and he can't wait to say them on a daily basis (amongst other things). Something else that he can't wait to do? Well, that would be protecting his daughters from all of the little boys who plan on flirting with them; because if there's on thing that he knows about what his daughters are going to look like, it's that they're going to be stunning and will make the young boys of the world be very interested in them.

But I'm sorry all of you little boys, but nobody is going to be dating his daughters for a while; and that's due to the fact that they are going to be very protected, by her father and brothers more specifically. Plus, he already has a couple of boys in mind when it comes to whom they're going to date; I mean, there are two little boys that would make the perfect boyfriends (and maybe future husbands) to their little girls. And even better, they're going to be born six months apart; so, he can already see it. Ms. Bella Casey-Severide or Ms. Emily Casey-Severide. And he's sure that Gabby is feeling the same way, that she would most definitely enjoy the idea of their daughters being married to their best friends' children; but first, Matt might want to bring it up with her. That way, she can know what he's thinking; and that she has his blessing to start planning their daughter's wedding to one of the Severide boys, which is something that Gabby is basically waiting for him to do. "Quick question; how much is this wedding you're planning in your head going to cost?"

Gabby was confused as she heard Matt say that, looking up at him so that she could get some clarity on just what the heck her husband is trying to ask her; especially when she really is so confused. "Okay, what the hell are you talking about? I am so confused." Matt snickered as he heard Gabby say that, before wrapping his arm around her; after which, he stroked her back and turned his head to kiss her forehead softly. "Oh c'mon, like you aren't already thinking about it." Gabby was confused. "Okay, stop playing stupid with me Matt." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, smiling due to the fact that was most definitely something that he was ready to do. "Is it going to be Bella Grace Severide or Emily Marie Severide?" Gabby just laughed as she heard Matt say that, before laying her head down on his chest again; after which, she cuddled up to him and smiled as she proceeded to kiss his chest softly. At the same time, Matt moved his hand to her back and just smiled as he kissed the top of her head (while also stroking her back).

"God, I didn't even think about that yet." Matt was a bit shocked as he heard Gabby say that. "Okay, I'm already calling bullshit on that." Gabby sighed as she moved her hand to his side, stroking it with his thumb while also laying her head back down on her chest; at the same time, Matt ran his hand up and down her back. Kissing the top of Gabby's head, Matt smiled due to the fact that he was really happy over the fact that they were both very comfortable with each other; heck, they're always very comfortable with each other when they're together, and in bed with each other. And god, this is so damn comfortable; and they are both extremely happy over the fact that they are comfortable together, as she ran his hand up and down her back. After which, he grabbed the covers and tugged them up on top of the both of them; that way, they can stay warm with each other…especially since Gabby wasn't wearing clothes that were very appropriate when it comes to being with their family, but you'll never hear Matt complaining about it.

Wrapping his arm around Gabby's back, Matt smiled as he put his hand on her side and stroked it with her thumb; after which, Matt smiled as he kissed the top of her head as they held each other close. And god, this is just what he wants to do. He wants to hold his beautiful wife close to him for the rest of the day, because there's nothing like this; there's nothing like the feeling of her gorgeous body laying down on his chest, while she isn't wearing a bra for him. Running his hand down her back, Matt smiled as he kissed the top of her head and just held her close to him. "Do you need me to do anything for you? Are you comfortable enough right now?" Laying her head down on Matt's toned chest, Gabby smiled due to the fact that she most definitely was especially when she's listening to the sound of her loving husband's heart beating under her head. Moving his hand to the side of her head, Matt smiled as he kissed the top of her head and just continued to hold her close to him; and let's just say that made Gabby so damn happy, and it always will.

"I swear, there's just something about the way that you kiss me like that; it's the best feeling in the entire world, and I am so glad that you're doing it right now." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, well aware that was the case. "I think we both know why that's the case, and that's due to the fact that you're extremely comfortable on my chest; and always will be, even when you're pregnant with our daughters." Gabby took a breath as she heard that, as that was something that she was still thinking about. "And I should be pregnant with our third son." Taking a breath, Matt just realized that he hit a chord; a chord that probably hurt her, and that prompted him to run his fingers up and down her back. That way, he can make sure that she calms down and just relaxed; and that's exactly what she needs to do right now, she needs to calm down and take it easy right now. And she's just so happy over the fact that this is what they're in the midst of doing with each other, even though there are a bunch of emotions that come with all they're dealing with.

"And I think this is why we need to spend the day in bed with each other today." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before watching as he proceeded to grab his phone. "What are you doing baby?" Matt smiled as he went to show her that he was going to put his phone on emergency mode, which meant that he could only get calls from a few people: (1) Gabby, (2) her mom, (3) his mom, (4) his sister Christie, (5) his niece Violet, (6) Gabby's brother Antonio, (7) Kelly, and (8) Boden. He has Boden on that list in case of emergencies, such as if someone dies; because that's something that he always wants to know as soon as possible, and he will always make sure to take a moment to call their family. And that's something that he still does to this day, for all of the members that were on Truck 81 in the past; because he worked alongside them, and he wants to make sure that he knows that he hasn't forgotten about them. But back to what he's doing right now, he's taking time to concentrate on his wife as they hold each other close.

"Oh, I'm just putting my phone on emergency mode." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware of what he means. "I like that idea, then only eight people can reach us." Matt smirked. "Actually, I cut it down to seven. I removed Jacob from it." Jacob being Jacob Moore, Matt's personal assistant. "Really, you took Jacob off of it?" Matt nodded as he moved his arms around her, before turning his had and kissing her forehead softly. "Work isn't an emergency when I'm doing stuff with the family, including holding my wife as I comfort her as she grieves the loss of another baby; and in return, she helps me and does the same." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. "Well, I'm glad that we're on the same page. That we have each other's backs, and that we're always going to do that." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, as that was something that she doesn't need to worry about. Moving his hand to her arm, Matt smiled as he turned his head and kissed her forehead softly. "Can you do something for me?"

Looking down at Gabby, Matt was confused. "What's that?" Gabby sighed. "I know you're comfortable like this, but I would really appreciate it if I could get a massage." Matt laughed as he heard Gabby say that. "A massage with you facing away from me, or you laying down on my chest as you sit up in between my legs?" Getting up off Matt's chest, Gabby smiled as she looked down at him. "I think I might go put one of your tanks on, okay? Not a t-shirt…" Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that. "I love that idea. Do you remember where they are?" Leaning over her husband, Gabby smiled as she kissed him softly. "Of course, I do." Smiling as she did that to him, Matt smirked as he put his hand on her neck and then started to take things nice and slow with the woman of his dreams. "I love you." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. "I love you too. Now, don't be long and make sure that I get a chance to see those boobies of yours at one point." Gabby laughed as Matt said that, getting up shortly afterwards.

Facing the man of her dreams (topless) for a moment, Gabby smirked as she looked at him before walking away to his dresser so that she could grab one of his undershirts; after which, she would put it on and make her way back to bed with him.

Crawling back into bed with the man she loves shortly after putting one of his tank tops on, Gabby smiled as she looked at him and hovered on top of him once again; after which, Matt moved his hand to her neck and just smiled as he was really happy right now. Happy that he was in the midst of taking things nice and slow with the woman he loves, and even happier over the fact that he had to nice feeling of her gorgeous body against his. But he also knew that this couldn't last, as he needed to do something for his wife; he needed to give her a massage so that she could relax, and just take it easy. "Listen, I am not going to hover on top of you for long; because we both know that I need to take it easy, and I need to relax." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before moving his hand to her neck once again; after which, he once again took things nice and slow with the woman of his dreams. "Listen, come cuddle up to me in my lap…and then I'll give you a massage like you want." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, smiling.

After all, that was exactly what she wanted; and it was also what she needed to do, as it was going to help her mourn their loss. But that didn't mean that they weren't also going to cuddle because they were. In fact, she was ready to cuddle up to her man right now. Crawling over to him, Gabby smiled as he was currently laying down in bed (on his back); and that made things a hell of a lot easier when she wanted to lay down on his chest, which she promptly did as soon as she was close to him once again. Wrapping his arm around his beautiful wife as soon as she laid down on his chest (again), Matt smiled as he ran his hand up and down her back; after which, he turned his head and smiled as he kissed her forehead softly. "Hi." Gabby laughed as she heard Matt say that, really happy that they're currently in the midst of holding each other close as she was very comfortable on his chest and will always be comfortable on his chest. I mean, what's better than the feeling of your loving husband holding you close in bed as you cuddle?

Oh, she was wrong; that feeling she's getting right now, where Matt is also running his hand up and down her back. Oh, now that was nice, and it was something that she was so happy that she was in the midst of getting; especially as she basically straddled her loving husband in a way that was really turning him on, and basically required him to do things that turn her on just so that he can get even with her. More specifically, he moved his hand to her leg and started to stroke it with his thumb; at the same time, he reached over to the side table to grab the TV remote for Gabby. "Here, do you want to pick what we watch right now?" Taking a breath as Matt asked her whether she wanted to pick what they were going to watch right now, Gabby just laid her head back down on his chest; after which, she decided that she was not going to choose what they watch today. Rather, she was going to instead take a bit of time to think in quiet; because that's what she feels like she needs to do right now, cuddle up to her loving husband (in quiet) and think.

"No, you can pick what we're going to watch." Looking down at the woman he loves, Matt was confused as to why she doesn't want to pick the TV show; I mean, she's the one that's hurting right now. Shouldn't that mean that she's the one that chooses what they watch today? Well, if that's what she wants…then they aren't going to watch TV, because she should be the one who chooses the show; heaven knows that Matt knows he's not going to…that's when Matt realized the real reason why she didn't want to choose a TV show, and that was due to the fact that she wasn't really in the mood to concentrate on the TV right now. And even if the TV was on right now, she wouldn't concentrate on it when she has something else on her mind; and that would be the loss of another one of their children, because that was on both of their minds right now. The loss of their triplet son, as it was still fresh on their minds; I mean, they just learned the news yesterday. So, can you blame them for still having the news on their mind today? It's heartbreaking news.

"Let me guess, you don't want to watch TV because you have something else on your mind?" Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before looking up at him. "Don't you?" Matt nodded as he decided to set the TV remote down on his side table, before moving his hand to her back once again; after which, he ran his fingers up and down her back. "Of course, I still have it on my mind, how could I not have it on my mind Gabby? We lost another child." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case; and she hates that she even (for a minute) thought that he wasn't thinking about that. I mean, they already spoke about that last night; including her worries when it comes the effect that the miscarriage may have on his PTSD, which is already impacted by the previous loss of a child. So, what does that mean now? I mean, it was just stupid of her to even think otherwise. "Sorry I thought any other way." Matt shook his head as he heard Gabby say that, as that was the last thing that he wanted her to apologize to him about.

"Hey, you have no need to apologize to me about that…especially not when you already have enough on your mind, and you just need to relax with me." Gabby took a breath as Matt said that, before turning her head and bending down to kiss his chest. "I'm glad that you're here instead of working." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, not that she really needs to worry about that; because the truth is, there's nowhere else that he'd rather be right now. This is the only place that he can see himself being right now, as he wants to hold her as they both grieve right now. "You have nothing to worry about when it comes to that Gabby, because this is where I want to be right now. I want to be with you, holding you in my arms as we console each other; and I think we both know that's the god's honest truth, because you're not the only one that's grieving right now." Turning her head, Gabby looked up at Matt. "Hey, we both know that's not at all what I was trying to say Matt; I hope that you know that." Matt agreed with Gabby, agreeing with his wife.

"I know that, I'm just telling you the truth." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that, before laying her head down on his chest once again; carefully placing her ear on his heart, Gabby smirked due to the fact that she just absolutely loves the sound of his heart underneath her ear. It's just so calming, and not just for their children. Wrapping his arm around Gabby's back shortly after she laid her head down, Matt smiled as he put his hand on her stomach and just stroked it with his thumb; at the same time, he bent down and kissed the top of her head. And let's just say that's exactly what Gabby needs right now, she needs to get some comfort as they held each other close; and that's one thing that she can really say Matt is an expert on, giving her the comfort that she needs when she's mourning. When they're mourning, as she knows that she's not the only one who's mourning the loss of their child; Matt is mourning just as much as her, maybe even more since it was another son. "Are you okay Matt?" Looking down, Matt was a bit confused.

"What are you talking about Gabby?" Taking a breath, Gabby rubbed Matt's chest as they both held each other close and just made sure that they're born relaxing in each other's arms right now; after all, that's what they need to do. But that's not all she needs to do right now, as she also needs to answer Matt's question; but she just doesn't want to do it too hard, as she knows that she does need to be delicate when it comes to talking to Matt about this…especially since it's related to his PTSD. "I guess, I am just trying to ask you how you're doing when it comes to…." And it was as if Matt already knew what she was talking about, because he soon interrupted her and went to finish the rest of her question. "How I'm doing after the partial miscarriage, especially since it's related to my PTSD?" Looking up at Matt as he said that, Gabby nodded; after all, that was exactly what she was trying to ask him about (but you already knew that). "Listen, I know that you don't need to answer this question if you don't…." Matt then went to answer regardless.

"I'm okay, and it's not bringing up anything; it's not the same, and I mean that Gabby."

Taking a breath as she heard Matt comment that it's not the same, Gabby just nodded as she knew that was the case; and she knew the reason why, because this was an actual baby. Okay, let's just explain what Gabby means by that; because that was the case the last time as well, there was a baby the first time that she was pregnant. But it just wasn't viable, and there wasn't a heartbeat. Nor was it located in a place where it can grow, so there was never going to be a chance that their first child would survive; and that was due to the fact that the pregnancy was an ectopic pregnancy, therefore not viable. Meanwhile, this baby was actually viable; and that was why they are a bit sadder since there was a heartbeat (at one point). She really suffered a miscarriage, and she actually has the ability to call it that; and that's just something that's really hard on her, and it means that there's some communication problems already. And she hates that, she hates that they're having a few communication problems; as it's the last thing that she wants to have, especially now. Right now, she really needs to rely on and talk to Matt; that way, they can get through this hard time together as partners.

And they can make it out of this trauma stronger than they've ever been before, which is exactly what she wants; it's what she always wants, because she loves Matt more than anything in the entire world. And that's what she decided to ask him to roll over onto his side, so that they could face each other as they talk about this; rather than have her lay down on his chest and let her get distracted by her just tracing his chest (which is what she always ends up doing when she's lying down on his chest for an extended period of time). But now, she was laying down on her side and just waiting for Matt to do the same; and tug her against his chest, of course. That was what she needed right now after all, she needed to be held by the man she loves; and she needs to make sure that they hold each other close and get through this together. After all, that was what they both wanted to do; they both wanted to get through this together, stronger than they were before this disaster struck them. And that was a sentiment that they both shared, which they both already knew; both because they've vocalized that feeling, and because they just know each other better than anybody.

Just holding Gabby against his chest today, Matt smiled as he looked at the most beautiful woman in the entire world; after which, he proceeded to kiss her nose. And let's just say that it put a bit of a smile on her face, as it was the feeling that Gabby wanted right now; she wanted to feel him kiss her nose, and just make her feel this special. Because that's how she feels when he does intimate things like that for her, she feels special; and that's just because she's Matt's wife, and that's something that she really loves being. She loves being Matt's wife, and she's so proud to call him her husband. "So, I can only imagine that there's still a reason that you're quiet right now?" Gabby took a breath as she got as close to Matt as she could, wrapping her arm around him shortly afterwards; she then placed her hand on the back of his head, tugging his lips against hers just like she wanted right now. She wanted him to kiss her softly, and just take things nice and slow with her; and the truth was, that was what Matt wanted to. And she didn't need to ask him to do that, she just needed to do this to make him want him to take things nice and slow with her; because he loves doing it as much as she does.

"So, I can only imagine that this is what you want me to do right now?" Gabby agreed with Matt as he asked her whether she just wanted him to kiss her right now, as that most definitely is exactly what she wants him to do; she wants him to take things nice and slow with her, because it makes her feel so much better. And she can't explain why that's the case. All she knows is that it makes her feel better, and that it makes her feel so damn gorgeous; not that she doesn't feel beautiful on a regular day, because that's how Matt always makes her feel. He always makes her feel beautiful, and she's so glad that's the case. "So, this is all you want today? To just spend the day in bed with me?" Gabby agreed with Matt as he asked her whether this was all she wanted to do with him right now. She wants to have him hold her in his arms, and just make her feel better. "Is that okay?" Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before moving extremely close to her; after which he slipped his arm under her head and moved his hand to her back, and then ran his hand up her back (under the undershirt that she was wearing right now). And let's just say that made her really happy.

"Comfortable?"
