Chapter 309: Heat Wave in Great Lakes...

(July 28. Great Lakes City.)

Welcome to... OH MY LORD, IT IS SO SCORCHING HOT HERE! The town is literally getting hit by one intense heat wave, and a car parked has melted onto the road.

Vito walks by the Mercado, and he is about to go inside, he then removes his shirt and he squeezes the sweat out of it, and his two dogs do the same with their collars.

Parr shows up, and he has the fruits kept safe in ice boxes, to prevent them from drying up. Hector helps him, and fast. Mabel shows up, and she removes her glasses and sweat pours out.

But the familia doesn't know. That Rosa is making something in her room, and that something is hew very own homemade Air-conditioning unit, she needs to make sure everyone else doesn't know, it is a surprise after all.

The car of Michelle Lewis is driving down the road, and she sees the whole thing. "Wow. This is one big heat wave, how come Royal Woods isn't struck by one?"

Luna then speaks. "There is a Heat wave there mom, but not like this. I guess in the City, the heat wave turns ten times worse. Makes sense, since there are tall buildings around here."

The car of Michelle Lewis arrives to the apartment building of the Santiago's, and they come out and they can feel this heat wave coming. "Dang, it is hot out here!" said Lincoln. They then have some umbrellas, and then they see Ronnie Anne come out, and she is wearing her clothing, but not her hoodie.

"Hey guys, looks like you guys are feeling the heat wave now, and I remember it is never this bad back in Royal Woods" replied Ronnie Anne. "Still, didn't seem right that you guys should come and visit now."

"Well, we didn't see this coming. We should go inside" replied Jordan, and they do so to get away from the heat, and they can feel the cool Air Conditioning in this building. "Looks like there is a cool way to keep it less heated here."

Sid then shows up, and she is on her roller skates. "Thanks guys, my dad won it last week at the mall for answering questions involving trains." Michelle then goes over to speak with Maria, since she has got a day off due to this heat wave, but she is on standby for when the hospital does need some extra hands.

The trio head to the hang out room, and there they leave the door open to let the air conditioning flow, and then Sid asks. "So, we have heard about what has been going down at your summer vacations, and I am sure you guys wanna know what's been happening here, right?"

Lincoln nods. "Yeah, anything else new besides the big vacation you guys went to last time?"

Sid then speaks. "Alright, so last week we had a sleepover at Laird's, and he seemed embarrassed for some reason, and all because he was rich and had his own mansion." That one surprises them, and then Sid hands them some ice cream tubs to enjoy.

Ronnie Anne then continues. "The other day, we wanted to cool down some more and so we went to the local pool, and Bobby had to teach Carl how to swim since he doesn't know how to, and chances he is doing it again today. Also, Bobby needs to learn how to tie his shoes." That one almost made them choke, and they try not to laugh.

Then Ronnie Anne asks. "So, we heard that Boy Jordan came back, what the heck went down?" They then proceed to confirm to her of what went down.

(Meanwhile.)

Michelle is enjoying some ice cream, and same with Maria. "So, a lot of patients are in need of some help, or no calls yet?"

Maria then speaks, and also has her own tub of ice cream. "Waiting for any calls, this heat wave could do some damage to anyone who is trying to cool down. I am concerned, and also glad the hospital is cooled down there for them to stay chill."

"Still, this is day two of the heat wave, and the news said that we have till the end of the month till the heat wave is over, and we're hoping the air conditioning unit can hold for that long. Arturo is also taking a break, at the backyard."

This confuses Michelle. "But, the heat outside is horrifically intense."

Maria sighs. "Michelle, my ex-husband worked in South America, and the heat can be unbearable there, that I think he has adapted special reptile skin." This makes them both chuckle, and then Michelle has an idea.

'Perhaps we can help Great Lakes City with this issue, I just need to make a call.'
