Hi Readers: Seems like I'm a bit ahead of schedule when it comes to the number of chapters that I've already posted today. Now, I just want to address something before I continue. I know that I am posting a couple chapters here and there with the staff, but that's just because I have ideas for the chapters; I'm not sure what's going to happen when it comes to those characters that I have already introduced, and whether I am going to just make them have long storylines…or whether I am going to try and concentrate some more on the One Chicago couples. But I think I am just going to keep going with what I'm doing, because it seems to be working (in my opinion). Let me know what you guys want me to do, and whether you like these small glimpses into the staff; or whether you'd like me to stick more to the One Chicago couples, because I'd love to head from you guys. Now, let's get back to the Caseys.

Chapter One Hundred and Seventy-Nine
Bad Dreams

Casey Home – She was already awake, and in the shower before he had a chance to wake up; to wake up with her in his arms, as they held each other close in bed. But was it really a surprise as to why Matt woke up alone in bed? Well, of course not; and we all know the reason why, it's because Gabby's awake…and there has to be a reason for that, which is related to the entire reason that he and Gabby are currently alone; the loss that they've suffered recently, the loss of the baby boy they were expecting. Or at least, they may have been expecting, which is why Gabby has been acting abnormal recently, and praying that Matt hasn't noticed. But the truth was, Matt did notice; can you really expect him not to notice? This is Matt after all, the man who loves her more than anything in the entire world. If there was anybody who would notice that she was off, it would be him of all people; and that's why Matt was here right now, walking into their bathroom to the sight of his wife being naked in the shower. And god did she look really sexy, and it turned him on.

So, that was why Matt was here; so that he could be with her, and just hold the woman he loves close to him. And he hopes that would make her feel better, him being in the shower with the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world; while he runs his hands all over her body and washes her. I mean, that's if she wants him to wash her. If she doesn't want Matt to wash her, then he'll understand and let her be…but he can't help but think that there's a reason why he's here with her right now. And that reason would be that God wants him to get in the shower with Gabby, hold her in his arms, and wash her. So, that's exactly what Matt plans on doing right now; getting in the shower with his gorgeous, pregnant with. Then, they would hold each other close and just relax with each other. And not just hold each other here in the shower, but in bed too. Because that's where Gabby is going to want to spend their day, she's going to want to be in bed with the man she loves more than anything in the entire world, holding him close today.

But first, Matt is going to hold her in the shower; and he's going to give her a bunch of kisses, which is something that Gabby most definitely wants. I mean, what wife wouldn't want her husband to kiss her while they're mourning together? Well, that's something that Gabby does want; and she wants it right now, especially since she just felt Matt join her in the shower. Moving his hands to Gabby's hips as soon as he stepped into the shower behind her, Matt smiled as he was glad to be in here with her; after which, he wrapped his arms around her and then bent down to kiss her neck softly. At the same time, Gabby moved her hands to his arms; smiling, she was really happy over the fact that Matt was there with her. God, the way they hold each other close is really nice; they are both always really happy to be with each other and are just ready to do this right now. Another thing that Gabby's ready to do, is speak to her loving husband for the first time this morning. "Hi." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that, hearing some joy.

"I can only imagine that you're happy to feel me in the shower with you?" Gabby agreed with Matt as he asked her whether she was happy to have him in the shower, which she most definitely was (especially since she needed his arms around her right now), after the bad dream that she had the night before. Turning around in Matt's arms, Gabby cuddled up to him and then wrapped her arms around his back. And let's just say that was very comfortable, and she was quite happy that this is how she was starting her day. Wrapping his arms around Gabby, Matt looked down into her eyes and just smiled at her. After which, he bent down and started to take things nice and slow with the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world; he just hopes that this helps, helps make her feel better. And the truth was, Matt kissing her does make her feel better; it will always make her feel better, because this is exactly what she wants (and needs) right now. She needs to be held by the man she loves, and she needs to feel better today. "How are you doing?"

Taking a breath, Gabby just knew why Matt was asking her that; because it was obvious, it was obvious that he knew that she was faking her smile. "I can only assume that you can tell that I'm faking my smile?" Moving his hand to Gabby's neck, Matt leaned in and proceeded to kiss her softly. Taking things nice and slow with the woman he loves, Matt smirked due to the fact that he was really happy right now; heck, he's always happy whenever they're holding each other close…especially when they're naked. But that didn't mean that he needed to be naked with his wife all the time, and that they can relax and hold each other close. "I want to relax, and hold you close to me." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. "I want to spend the day alone with you, without the boys; can we do that?" Moving his hand to the side of Gabby's face, Matt agreed with the woman he loves. "Hey, of course we can. We can hold each other, and we can just cuddle up to each other; and we can relax, because you need to do that."

Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the truth. "To tell you the truth, I wish I would've slowed down and just relaxed a bit more when we lost our first baby." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, well aware that was the case. "Well, I think that we both know that we can't go back; but we can change what we're going to do going forward, including how you're going to talk to me." Gabby looked up at Matt as he said that and could only imagine that he knew. "How did you guess?" Matt just looked at his wife as she asked him how he guess, guess that she had a bad dream; but the truth was, he didn't have to guess. Not when she moved in bed for a while last night, and she just had a really bad night. "Baby, you had a horrible night last night; heck, I had to keep Andy on his leach to make sure that he didn't jump up on you and put his paws on your stomach." Gabby took a breath as she heard Matt say that, well aware that this is not the only time that they're going to talk about this today; rather, it was just the first time.

"Gabby, I don't want you to feel like you need to hide anything from me. You can talk to me, and you can tell me what's on your mind; that way, I can help you out." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before getting close to him; after which, she wrapped her arms around him and just held him close. Wrapping his arms around her too, Matt bent down and kissed the top of her head. He then moved his hands to her stomach and rubbed it so that he can make sure that she feels better, which was something that he most definitely was doing, because the feeling of his hands on her stomach is perfect. Moving his hand to Gabby's neck, Matt smiled as he started to take things nice and slow with the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world; the woman he's crazy for, and whom he's more than ready to try and make feel better. Because the last thing that Matt wants, is for her to fall into a depression; and based on what he's read, that is a real possibility after a miscarriage. He just hopes that she's okay right now. "You okay baby?"

Looking up at Matt as he asked her that, Gabby nodded. "I'm doing better, and I'm just trying to figure out my emotions. Hormones make them even worse." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, well aware that was the case; he then proceeded to move his hand to her neck, and leaned in so that he can take things nice and slow with the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "I promise, we can spend the day in bed together; and we don't need to have the boys, if you don't want to." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, as that's something that she most definitely does want; she doesn't want to be with the boys today, because that would mean that she needs to fake the smile that she's going to put on her face. "I would rather not have to fake a smile, because that's what I would have to do if we have the boys." Moving his hand to Gabby's neck, Matt sighed as that was the last thing that he wanted to hear; he didn't want to hear her say that she would have to 'put on a smile' because that's just a tragic situation. But it make sense.

I mean, she wouldn't want to make the boys worry that their mommy isn't okay; because in their eyes, their mommy is always okay. Moving close to Gabby again, Matt moved his hand to the back of her head and just held her close; he then turned his head and kissed the side of her head. "I promise, I'm here for you Gabby; and we're both going to be here with each other the entire time, and I'm going to hold you in my arms forever." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, smiling as she leaned back and looked up at the man she loves more than anything in the entire world; after which, she got close to him and smiled as she leans in and kissed him softly. Taking things nice and slow with the woman he loves, Matt smirked due to the fact that this is exactly what they both want to do right now; they want to hold each other close, and they want to make sure that they relax. "Listen, can we just stand here in silence? It's kind of nice to tell you the truth." Matt agreed with Gabby as she asked him if they can be quiet right now, because it's okay.

"I promise, we can do just that; because I know it's what you need." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, glad that was the case; and it just reinforced something that she already knew: That Matt is the only man for her, and that she's the only man that she can see herself being with. Looking down at Gabby, Matt smirked as he bent down and proceeded to take things nice and slow with the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world; after all, that's exactly what they both want to do right now. They want to hold each other close, and they want to just relax with each other today; and that's exactly what they're going to be doing with each other today, they're going to hold each other close in bed. "So, what do you want for breakfast today?" Gabby laughed as she heard Matt say that, before looking up at the man of her dreams; at the same time, Matt bent down and stole a kiss from the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "I want you to make me some egg sandwiches." Matt agreed with Gabby.

He decided to just wear his boxers, and a t-shirt when he came downstairs to make breakfast this morning; he just hoped that this was okay, because he knows that not every mother-in-law likes the sight of their son-in-law wearing his boxers. But it seems like Camila is okay with it because she just greeted him with a smile on her face. "Morning." Snickering, Matt just smiled as he walked into the kitchen to the sight of Camila feeding both Matteo and Noah in their highchairs. "Glad that you're okay with me coming downstairs clad in nothing but my t-shirt and boxers." Camila agreed with Matt as he said that, before smiling at her yerno. At the same time, Matt smiled as he made his way over to his beautiful sons, who were very happy the moment they saw their daddy come downstairs, as they always are. Getting close to Matteo and Noah, Matt smiled as he bent down and then kissed their foreheads softly. "Yeah, you guys are happy that papa decided to come downstairs today?" Camila smiled as she heard Matt say that, before answering.

"I think they both are." Matt agreed with Camila as she said that, before continuing to make his way towards the fridge; he then proceeded to open it and smiled as he got ready to grab the eggs, as that's what he needs to grab so that he can make the breakfast that Gabby wanted. "Let me guess, you're going to be making something more than just some toast today?" Turning to look at Camila, Matt agreed with her and smiled. "Gabby wants egg sandwiches." Camila smiled. "Sounds delicious." Matt smiled as he heard Camila say that, before going to grab the English muffins. He then went ahead and took a couple out, putting them in the toaster so that they can start cooking right away; after which, he waked over to the drawer that they have in the kitchen which contains all of their pans. Grabbing a pan, he carried it over to the stove and then proceeded to set it down; after which, he turned on the burner.

Going to grab the spray, he then proceeded to go grab the eggs so that he can start cooking; after all, they want to make sure that they don't ruin their pans. Spraying it, Matt smiled as he went to set the spray down; after which, he went ahead and then went to grab the eggs. "So, while you're down here; I wouldn't mind if we talk for a bit." Turning his head, Matt agreed with Camila as she said that. "Yes?" Camila smiled. "I guess, I just want to know how Gabby is." Matt agreed with Camila as she said that, because that's something that he knew that they were going to talk about. "I think that we're going to be talking about that a lot today, but I think that Gabby is going to be okay at the end of the day; and I think that we're just going to talk about it some more, but I know that Gabby's okay now." Camila agreed with Matt as he said that, glad that was the case. "And are you guys doing better when it comes to the fact that…" Matt sighed as he heard Camila say that, well aware of what she was talking about. "It's still hard."

Camila looked at her son-in-law as he said that, starting to get a bit worried. "How's Gabby?" Matt sighed. "She had a bad dream last night, related to the miscarriage." Camila sighed as she heard Matt say that, really hating the sound of that. "I'm sorry that's the case Matt." Matt agreed with Camila as he said that, well aware that she was sorry. "I know you are Camila, and I promise that we're going to be okay." Camila agreed with Matt, smiling as that's something that she already knew. "I know Matt, you're not going to do anything to screw this up anytime soon." Matt laughed as he heard Camila say that, especially after everything that he and Gabby have gone through over the past nineteen months. "I haven't screwed up in nineteen months, have I?" Camila shook her head as Matt asked her whether he screwed up over the past nineteen months, as that most definitely was not something that he did. He's been great. "You've been incredible Matt, and I am so glad that you're my son-in-law." Matt smiled, agreeing with Camila.

Afterwards, he heard Noah laugh a bit as he slapped his tray. "Yeah, I think that you're another Casey boy who's really happy right now." Matt then proceeded to make his way over to the boys, smiling as he looked at Noah; after which, he bent down and just smiled as he kissed his cheek. "Yeah, you're really happy that daddy came downstairs to see you this morning." Camila smiled as she turned her head and then looked at her son-in-law, who soon made his way over to Matteo; bending down again, Matt then proceeded to kiss his cheek too. "Are you being a good boy with your abuela?" Camila smiled as Matt asked if the boys were good. "They were great last night, and me and Ramon actually caught up and we talked." Matt took a breath as he heard Camila say that, well aware that was something that they needed to talk about. "Do you mind if we talk about that?" Camila was a bit confused as Matt asked her that. "Why?" Matt sighed. "I just want to make sure that things went okay, and that things aren't too awkward between you guys."

That's when Matt felt Andy come up to his legs, and then jumped up onto him, which reminded him, he needs to go outside. "Yeah, you want to go outside; don't you Andy?" Barking, Andy agreed and then got down; after which, Matt made his way over to the door so that he could let his service dog out. "Can we follow the same routine, and keep going with the same agreement as we had yesterday?" Looking up at her yerno, Camila agreed; after all, she can most definitely put Andy outside if he needs to go to the washroom quiet easily. "Of course. Just know that I'm not picking that stuff up." Matt smirked. "I pay for a garden company to come water the flowers and clean up the backyard every day." Camila was shocked as she heard Matt say that. "Seriously?" Matt nodded, smiling as he made his way back over to the kitchen; after which, he remembered that he wanted some coffee. But first, he asked Camila whether she wanted some as well. "Care for some coffee Camila?" Camila agreed with Matt. "Yes please."

Making his way over to the boys with Camila's coffee this morning, Matt smiled as he went ahead and set it down next to her; at the same time, he smiled as he kissed the top of her head. After all, he is very grateful for everything that she's done for him and Gabby since they learned the tragic news. "I hope you know that me and Gabby are forever grateful for everything that you're doing for us, letting us grieve for Jackson." Turning her head, Camila was a bit confused when she heard the name "Jackson". "Who's that?" Matt then realized that Camila doesn't know, doesn't know that they gave their late (unborn) son a name. "Oh, I forgot to tell you; we gave the baby boy a name, rather than just referring to him as the baby we lost." Camila agreed with Matt as he said that, as that's probably something quite wise for them to do. "I think that makes sense." Matt agreed with Camila as she said that, smiling as he walked back over to the stove so that he can flip the eggs that he was already making; after which, he went to grab the toast (as it was ready).

"So, you named the baby Jackson?" Matt agreed with Camila, turning his head (while also picking up the mayo so that he can take the lid off). "Yes, his name is Jackson David." Camila smiled as she heard the name, clearly liking the sound of it. "I love that name." Matt agreed with Camila. "We might actually use the name for our charity that I think me, and Gabby are going to create someday, because we both know that we need to use some of this money for good." Camila smiled. "You've already done that for me. By the way, thank you so much for paying off the mortgages on me and Antonio's homes; as well as paying off Gabby's college debts." Matt agreed with Camila as she thanked him, not that it was really a problem. "It wasn't a problem Camila, I wanted to do that for you guys; because that's what family does for each other, they help out and they make sure that their debts are paid off." Camila agreed with Matt as he said that, just smiling as she still felt incredibly lucky to have him as he son-in-law. "I swear, I am not worthy of having you as my son-in-law." Matt laughed. "I'd rather you stop saying that, because that means that I don't get to have Matteo and Noah."

Camila agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that's the case. "Right, of course." Matt just smiled as he heard Camila say that, glad that they were on the same page now; that she would no longer say that she's lucky to have him as her son-in-law, because he's the real lucky one. He loves Gabby more than anything, and he makes her happy. "Plus, Gabby is my second chance at love; she makes me incredibly happy, and I am just so that that this is the life that me and Gabby have with each other. There's nobody I would rather be married to, nor would I want to have children with anybody other than Gabby; and I mean that from the bottom of my heart." Camila smiled, agreeing with Matt as he said that; especially since she could see that it was the truth from the way that he was looking at her at the moment. "I believe you Matt, and you have no reason to doubt that I know that." Matt agreed with Camila as she said that, glad that was the case; after which, he turned his attention back to the breakfast he was making this morning.

With breakfast now ready to take upstairs, Matt couldn't help but smile as he turned to look at Camila and the boys; as the sight of his little boys sitting there is just so adorable, but he also knew that he couldn't take too long. Not when he has somebody else to go take care of right now, his beautiful wife Gabriela Casey; who's currently hurting after their partial miscarriage, which still breaks his heart right now. He just knows that Gabby's hurting right now, and he hates being away from her for this long; or just having her out of his sight whatsoever, because he doesn't know what she's doing right now. But he's not going to have to wait to see if she's okay for much longer, as Matt is on his way upstairs now. He's done making breakfast, and ready to head upstairs; but first, he just needs to talk to Camila. "Camila?" Turning her head to face him, Camila smiled. "Yes Matthew?" Matt smiled. "You're sure that you're okay with watching the boys, right?" Getting up after finishing up with feeding the boys, Camila agreed. "Hey, of course I am."

Matt smiled as he heard Camila say that, glad that was the case; but still, he couldn't help but feel bad that he and Gabby weren't currently with the boys….after all, they are their parents; doesn't that mean that they should be with them, and taking care of them? Well, might as well ask Camila. "We're doing the right thing, right?" Looking at her son-in-law as he asked her whether he and Gabby were doing the right thing (in taking some time ale to grieve), Camila couldn't help but agree, which was something that she was going to make sure that Matt knew, and she was going to make that crystal clear to him as she grabbed his hand. "Hey, I never want you to doubt that you and Gabriela are doing the right thing when it comes to the both of you guys taking some time together….that's what you both need right now, you need time together; and you both need to relax, as you hold each other close and grieve." Matt agreed with Camila as she said that, taking a breath. "Gabby was pretty shaken up this morning, and she's very emotional."

Taking a breath as she heard Matt say that, Camila Vergel Dawson couldn't help but feel her heart break for her daughter; a sentiment that Matt could clearly see that his mother-in-law was feeling right now, based solely on the face that she was making right now. "I promise, I'm taking care of her…and we're going to get through this together." Camila agreed with Matt as he said that, having never doubted that. "I know Matt, and I promise that I trust you explicitly." Matt agreed with Camila as she said that, before getting close to her; hugging her, Matt just smiled as he truly has an amazing mother-in-law. "Listen, can you do me a favor?" Camila agreed. "Always." Matt smiled. "Can you call my mom today? I know you have things under control, but I'd like my mother to come spend time with her grandsons." Camila agreed with Matt as he said that, completely understanding where he's coming from. "Of course, Matt, I promise that I'll call her and invite her over; maybe we can all have supper later?" Matt bit his lip as Camila asked him that question.

"I can't make any promises Camila." Thinking about it, Camila understood. "Right, of course." Matt just smiled as he heard her say that, before going to hug her. "Listen, I have a hungry, pregnant wife upstairs that I nee to go feed; but please, call my mom if you need any help. Or, you can call me too. I'm here for everybody." Camila smiled as she put her hand on his cheek, before stroking it with her thumb. "You are too good for my daughter." Matt laughed as he heard Camila say that. "Don't let Gabby hear you say that." Camila agreed with Matt as he said that, before watching as he walked away to grab the plate of food; he then went to walk away, while also passing in front of the boys at the same time. Kissing their cheeks, Matt smile. "Have a good day with your grandmothers boys." Smiling as she watched Matt did that, Camila couldn't help but be happy that she has him in her life; as her son-in-law, and the father of her grandchildren of course. Matt then proceeded to walk away to head back up to bed, and relax with Gabby today.
