Chapter One Hundred and Eighty-Six
Lunch Time, and Comfort Cuddles
Casey Primary Suite – He could tell that there was still something on her mind, something that she wasn't sharing with him as she sat there in bed; his beautiful wife currently in the midst of spending some time with Andy, as she threw the ball for him in their room. At the same time, she was making sure that she did it carefully; as she didn't want to break anything in their room, because she didn't want to get hurt. But now, it was time for her to stop playing with the ball; and that was due to the fact that Matt was back here with the pasta that she wanted, which is exactly what she needs right now. It's some of her comfort food, and also one of her pregnancy cravings; so, it was the perfect type of food that she can eat right now. And that was the exact reason why Matt was in the midst of making his way over to their bed so that he could sit with the woman he loves, prior to them eating lunch today; and that was due to the fact that he wanted to make sure that she started to open up to him, as soon as possible. But first, he decided to set their lunch down on his side of the bed, which he could grab while reaching over her, as they sat down in bed with each other and cuddled.
Just walking up to his beautiful wife, Matt proceeded to set the food down and just smiled as he went ahead and sat down next to the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world; after which, he proceeded to put his hand on Gabby's stomach. "I can only assume that you're already thinking about the loss we suffered again?" Looking up at the man she loves, Gabby took a breath as that most definitely was the truth; she was thinking about how she lost their son, amongst other things. "There are a lot of things on my mind to tell you the truth, which is why I'd like you to stay here." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, well aware that was the case. "Yeah, I think that's something that we most definitely do. We can talk, and we can make sure that everything is okay." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before moving to put her hand on his cheek; at the same time, Matt moved his hand to her arm and just smiled due to the fact that this is exactly what he wanted Gabby to do…as it would allow him to bend down and kiss her softly, which is exactly what he did. Moving his hand to her neck, Matt bent down and then started to take things slow with his wife.
Just taking things slow with Matt, Gabby was glad that they were here with each other right now; as this is where she needs her loving husband to be, holding her and comforting her. And that was something that she plans on asking him, not to leave. She wants him to be here, with her; and that was actually why she ended up sneaking downstairs and grabbing his laptop (which was now on his dresser). If he wants to work, then he can do it up here in bed as she wants to have her husband close to her. She wants him to be in their room, close to her. "Matt, can I ask you a favor?" Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that because she can always ask him a favor. "Of course, you can baby, what's wrong?" Taking a breath, Gabby looked at the man she loves. "Listen, I know that you still need to work; but I want to ask you this, if you could please work in our room if you need to work." Matt just looked at Gabby as she said that, before moving his hand to her neck; after which, he stroked her cheek and looked at the woman he loves. "Baby, of course I can. I should've thought about that. I should've known that you'd want me close." Gabby agreed with Matt, smiling at her husband.
"I could work over there on the couch I guess, and just be here for you." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, glad that was the case; after which, he leaned in and proceeded to kiss Matt softly. Taking things nice and slow with the woman he loves, Matt smiled due to the fact that this is exactly what they both want to do right now; they want to hold each other close, and they want to make sure that they just take things nice and slow with each other. "Listen, we need to eat; and then we can hold each other close, so that you're full." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. "Want me to slip over, then you can climb into bed with me?" Matt smirked as Gabby asked him whether he wants her to slip over in bed, so that he can climb into bed with her. "I love that idea, and I am so glad that this is what we're both going to do." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before smiling as she felt him lean in and kiss her softly; taking things nice and slow with the woman he adores, Matt just smirked at his sexy (pregnant) wife. The wife who is currently pregnant with their daughters and was currently just taking it easy as she laid down in bed right now.
"I promise you right now, I'm going to make sure that we both hold each other close; and that I made you feel better, and I am so sorry that I wasn't here." Gabby shook her head as she heard Matt say that, before going to grab her hand. "Hey, don't apologize baby. It's all okay, and I promise that I'm not mad at you." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, glad that was the case. "Good, I am so glad that's the case; I would hate it if we were in a fight, when you need me the most." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that this is where he needs to be right now; he needs to hold her close, and they both need to take it easy with each other. "Listen, I'm glad that this is what we're going to do right now; we're going to hold each other close, and we're going to take it easy with each other. We're going to kiss each other, and you're going to talk to me; and if you sleep, then I promise that I'll be right over there, working on my laptop." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. "I'm glad, but can we please not talk about that right now? I would rather just concentrate on what we need to do right now. We need to eat remember?" Matt agreed.
"I know that we need to eat, and I promise that we're going to do just that; we're going to eat, as I hold you in my arms and we just make sure that we take it easy with each other. I know what you need right now, and we're going to do just that." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before smiling due to the fact that this really is her dream life; she loves her husband more than anything in the entire world, and she was glad that this is what they're going to do. Well, just as soon as Matt was in bed with her; after all, he was stalling right now. And that was something that was making her frustrated, because she wanted the man she loves to hold her in his arms; and that's exactly what Matt is going to do for her, just as soon as he was done teasing her. Moving his hand to her stomach once again, Matt smirked as he leaned in and then proceeded to take things nice and slow with the woman of his dreams. "I love you so much, and I am so glad that this is what we're doing right now; at least, I will be when I have my husband in bed with me. Baby, I want to eat with you." Matt agreed with Gabby as she told him that, well aware that was the case; he knows what she wants.
"And I can only assume that you also want me to feed you?" Gabby smiled as she heard Matt ask her whether she wanted him to feed her, because that's something that she's interested in; but right now, she just wants her dreamy husband to hold her close as they cuddle up to each other in bed. "Okay, can we just get this started? Let's get in bed, and eat together; okay?" Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before getting up and proceeding to lean over his wife. Moving his hand to her neck, Matt smirked as he leaned in and then kissed her softly; taking things nice and slow with the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world, who just so happens to also be the mother of his children. "By the way, where are the kids again?" Matt smiled. "They're out for a walk with their grandmothers." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, glad that they were outside with their grandmothers. "I'm glad, they need some fresh air." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife as she said that, before moving his hand to the side of her head. "And this is what you need. You need to take it easy, and you need to relax." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, smiling at her loving husband.
After all, that's something that they both want to do; they want to be in bed with each other, and they want to eat lunch as they cuddle up to each other. "I'm going to keep my shirt on, because then we relax as we eat. But after we eat, I promise that I'll take it off for you." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. "Okay, I'm glad that's the case." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that, before going to grab his hand; after which, she stroked his hand and just smiled due to the fact that this is everything that they both want to do right now. They want to hold each other close, and they want to relax. "Listen, get in bed." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before getting up so that he can get in bed with the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world; that way, they can hold each other close and just relax while they relax in bed. Climbing in to do just that, Matt smirked as he proceeded to get close to the woman he loves; after which, he wrapped his arm around her and just smiled due to the fact that this is everything that they both want to do. At the same time, Gabby grabbed the covers and tugged them on top of the both of them.
Grabbing the bowl of pasta, Matt smirked as he then went ahead and just brought it into their lap; after which, Gabby went to grab one of the two forks that Matt brought upstairs. "Now, this looks like good pasta." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before turning his head and pressing his lips to her forehead. After which, Gabby turned her head and looked up at the man of her dreams. "How are you feeling?" Gabby smiled as Matt asked her that. "I'm feeling better, and it's all thanks to you." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before bending down so that he can take things nice and slow with the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world; the woman he wants to make feel better, and whom he wants to know that they are going to make sure that they take it easy. "Listen, how about we eat? Then we can share a kiss, like you want." Gabby laughed as she heard Matt say that, before moving to grab his hand; after which, she felt him move to press his lips to her forehead. And that was something that she enjoyed, as it was nice. "Now, that's a nice feeling that I most definitely do enjoy." Matt agreed with Gabby, smiling at his beautiful wife. "I had a feeling."
Smiling as she looked at Matt, she started to cuddle up to him again. "Listen, how about we just eat before it gets cold?" Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before going to grab his fork; after which, he proceeded to take a bit of their lunch. Grabbing her fork too, Gabby smiled as she went ahead and proceeded to do the same; that way, they can enjoy this nice lunch that Matt made for the both of them. After which, they'll both have a bunch of quality cuddle time with each other (which is exactly what they both want to do right now). They want to hold each other close, and they just want to spend time with each other.
The lunch that she and Matt just had was truly exactly what they both wanted. They both wanted to have that nice pasta, while they also wanted to hold each other close; and as soon as Matt comes back upstairs from the kitchen, that's exactly what they're both going to do with each other. They're going to cuddle up to each other, and they're going to make sure that they relax. But first, they are going to just make sure that Matt gets comfortable. And just how are they going to do that? Well, that's by him taking off his shirt, before he climbs into bed with the woman of his dreams; but little did Gabby know, that the first part of that process was already done as he made his way upstairs. Something that she only found out, as he walked into their room clad in nothing but his boxers. And let's just say that most definitely was something that Gabby enjoyed the sight of, because there's nothing like the sight of her husband walking into their room clad in nothing but his boxers; I mean, he's so damn sexy…and this is the exact sight that she wanted to see right now. And that was something that Matt knew, based solely on the way that she was looking at him right now. "You like?"
Snickering a bit as she heard Matt ask her whether she liked the sight that was in front of her, she nodded as she most definitely did like the sight of her loving husband walking into their room in nothing but his boxers; after all, that was the most comfortable way for the two of them to cuddle up to each other. For him to be wearing boxers, while she's wearing some lingerie; and that was exactly what they're both going to be wearing as they cuddle up to each other, in their bed. And that's where they need to be right now, while they hold each other close. And that's the reason why Matt made sure to grab all of his electronics and brought them up to their room. He then walked over to the living room area in their room so that he could set his electronics down. "I just brought this up here so that I could make sure that they were here." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that he does have to work sometimes; and that it's also something that she already agreed to, on the condition that he stays in their room. "As long as you stay up here while you work, then I'm okay with that." Walking up to the table they have in their living room, Matt set his electronics down.
After which, he set his shirt down on the couch (while also standing up); at the same time, he turned around and looked at the woman he's proud to call his beautiful wife (and the love of his life). "I promise, because I feel horrible for even having gone downstairs in the first place now." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before opening the covers so that she could invite him to join her in bed; and that's something that he's more than ready to do, as he wants to cuddle up to his wife and just hold her in his arms. He wants to cuddle up to her, and he wants to make sure that they relax with each other right now. They just want to make sure that they relax with each other. "You know that I never meant to make you mad that I was gone." Gabby shook her head when Matt mentioned that he thought that she was mad, as she wasn't mad; actually, that was the last thing that she was. And there's a reason why that's the case, and it's due to the fact that he's trying to give people the means and ways to change their lives for the better; at the same time, he's also trying to give back to their fellow first responders, who deal with horrible things each and every day.
"Baby, don't even worry about that, I mean that." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife as she said that, before making his way right up to her side of the bed; after all, that's where they both want to be right now. They want to be in bed with each other, and they just want to cuddle up to each other; that way, they can make sure that they both relax with each other. And right now, they just want to hold each other in bed. "So, you want me to wrap my arm around you and just hold you close for a while?" Gabby laughed as Matt asked her if that was what she wanted, as that most definitely is exactly what she wants him to do; she wants him to wrap his arm around her, and she wants to make sure that they both just took some time to hold each other close in bed. "I want to hold you in my arms, and make sure that we relax with each other; especially since I want you to grieve with me baby, because I know that you are still thinking about that." Taking a breath, Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that; after which, he went to grab the blankets that were on top of her. Opening them, Matt smiled as he proceeded to climb into bed with the woman he loves; then he can comfort her.
Getting close to Gabby as soon as they were in bed with each other, Matt smirked due to the fact that this is exactly what they both want to do with each other; they want to cuddle up to each other, and they want to hold each other close. And now, they're going to relax and just hold each other close, which is everything that they both want to do, as they both just relax with each other. Wrapping his arm around Gabby as soon as he was back in bed with her, Matt smiled as he felt Gabby get nice and close to him; cuddling up to her husband, Gabby smiled as she felt him slip down in bed some more. "Here, how about you do exactly what you want to do; and climb into my lap, which is what you want to do." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before moving to cuddle up to the man of her dreams; after which, Matt wrapped his arm around her back (while Gabby put her hand on his chest). And let's just say that was exactly what they both wanted to do, hold each other close as they relax with each other. It's just so damn comfortable, and he wants to make sure that they are both happy with each other; after which, Matt turned his head and then kissed the top of her head.
Feeling Matt kiss the top of her head, Gabby smiled due to the fact that this is exactly what they both wanted to do with each other; they wanted to hold each other close, as they take this time to grieve with each other. And that's exactly what Matt wanted to do for his wife, make sure that she grieves with his help; and that's why he was determined to do whatever he could to make sure that Gabby was okay, because that's what a husband does for his wife. He makes sure that they're okay, and that he holds her as long as he needs to do that. Because at the end of the day, his main priority is that Gabby is okay in the aftermath of all of this, which is why they are both here with each other right now, and just cuddling up to each other as they relax in bed. Running his hand up and down her back as he continued to hold Gabby, Matt smiled as he turned his head and looked down at the woman he loves. "How are you feeling right now?" Looking up at Matt, Gabby smiled as she was glad that he asked her how she was doing. "I'm doing better, and I'm just glad that you're here with me right now." Running his hand up and down Gabby's back, Matt agreed with his beautiful wife (whom he loves).
He then proceeded to kiss her forehead softly, while also bending down so that he could kiss the woman he loves softly. Taking things nice and slow with the woman he loves, Matt smirked due to the fact that this is exactly what they both need to do right now; he needs to hold the woman he loves, and he needs to make sure that they both just did things their way. And this is how they want to grieve with each other. They want to hold each other close, and they want to make sure that they do whatever they can to make sure that they feel better, which is something that Matt especially needs to do, while Gabby is grieving. He's read a lot of articles recently, and he knows that there can be depression that comes with a miscarriage; and that's something that worries Matt, but he's yet to talk to Gabby about that. And that's due to the fact that he doesn't want to make her start worrying about whether that's going to happen, which is something that he knows she'll do if he brings it up; but still, he feels like he has a duty to talk to Gabby about it. Taking a breath, he turned his head and left another kiss on her forehead; at the same time, he looked down at his beautiful wife.
"Gabby, can we talk for a minute?" Gabby agreed with Matt as he asked her whether they could talk, as they can always talk, which is why she just looked up at him so that they can talk. "What's wrong baby? Is there something on your mind?" Matt took a breath as Gabby asked him that, especially since he hasn't been completely honest with her when it came to the real reason he was outside. "Okay, before I say anything; I need to apologize." Gabby was confused as she heard Matt say that. "What are you talking about baby?" Matt sighed as he looked down into Gabby's eyes. "I want to say this, yes I did do a bit of work on the business; but that wasn't the only thing that I was doing while I was down there." Gabby was confused as she heard Matt say that, before taking a breath. "What is it baby?" Matt sighed. "I did a bit of research on how I can help you, what might happen after this; and I just wanted to see what I could do for you. I'm not sure what to do, as I am so lost. I mean...I hate that I even have to say this, because this is something that I'm proud of; but, I guess I'm trying to not make the same mistakes that I did when we lost the first baby." Gabby sighed.
"You're still thinking about that." Matt agreed with Gabby as she asked him whether he was still thinking about that, as that most definitely was something that he was still thinking about, due to the fact that he was trying to use it as a learning moment. "I just want to make sure that you're okay, and I want to do everything right." Looking up at Matt as he said that, Gabby shook her head; after all, that was not something that he needed to worry about…especially since he did everything right last time, and he was there for her. And right now, he was here for her; and that's all that matters at the end of the day, that he's here for her. "Baby, you're here for me; and that's all that matters at the end of the day, that you're here and holding me in your arms." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, well aware that was the case; after which, he turned his head and kissed her forehead softly while they both held each other close right now. "Baby, I don't want you to think that you're doing something wrong; and you're doing everything right, and I mean that baby. You're the best, and I am so glad that you are here with me right now." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that.
He then moved his hand to her back, before stroking it with his thumb; at the same time, he turned his head and kissed her forehead softly. Holding her close to him, Matt smiled as he ran his hand up and down her back as they just relaxed with each other. "All I know Matt, is that you need to promise me that you don't worry about this too much. Baby, you need to calm down and remember that you're doing everything right in my eyes. You're here with me, and that's all that matters at the end of the day." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that, before watching as she laid her head down on his chest; at the same time, Matt moved his hand to the side of her head and then kissed her forehead softly. Running his hand up and down her back, Matt just smiled due to the fact that this is exactly what they both need to do right now. They need to hold each other close, and they just need to relax with each other. "I'm glad that we're holding each other close right now." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, feeling the same way. "As am I, because this is what I need from you right now." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, well aware that was the truth as he feels the same way.
"Can I ask you a question?" Gabby agreed with Matt as he asked her whether he can ask her a question, as he can always ask her a question. "Of course, you can baby, what is it?" Taking a breath, Matt looked down at his beautiful wife.
"Do you think that me working on the company, was my way of trying to change my mind? And to try and distract myself from the grief of loosing another baby?"
