Hi Readers: Sorry for the delay in getting this chapter out to you guys, but I spent the past little while doing some story planning; and I even explored some storylines that I can write for you guys, as I am really just writing this entire story on the fly. I only plan a couple chapters ahead, and that doesn't even include some of the major storylines that I have. When I say that this story is literally just a work in progress, that will progress chapter-by-chapter; I truly mean that, because facts that are established in one chapter…well, they may be facts that I just thought about at the time. So, no promises that any facts are going to stay the same; however, I hope that they do stay the same for the sake continuity. But now, enough with this message to you; let's give you what you really want. Enjoy.

Chapter One Hundred and Ninety-Five
Taking it Easy ahead of Family Dinner, Part One

Walking downstairs shortly after getting changed (and putting their swimwear out to dry), Matt smiled as he got ready to talk to his family for a bit right now; talk to them about the timing that they were going to choose when it comes to when they're going to eat, because he realized something recently. And that would be that there was another reason why Gabby really wanted to come home, and that was due to the fact that she was tired; and she felt like she needed to take a nap, prior to them having supper as a family. And that was why Matt was coming downstairs, to let everybody know what was going on with Gabby; and just why they weren't coming right down, because it was what they needed. And the truth was, Matt was really hoping that they would understand; because that was something that he didn't yet know the answer to. Whether they would understand that they need a bit of time, prior to them coming downstairs to enjoy a family dinner. Then again, if they don't understand; it's not like they can change their mind as to what they're going to do, as they're the ones who know when they need to take it easy and just relax….for Gabby's health right now.

Because at the end of the day, that was their main priority, Gabby's health, and the health of their twins. So, that was the sentiment that Matt was going to play to; the fact that they are all more concerned about the health of the twins, rather than them spending some time with Matt and Gabby. But now, it was time for them to figure out whether that was okay; and for Matt to say hi to Antonio, as they ended up sneaking in through their patio door…which was the entire reason that everybody was a bit surprised when they saw Matt come downstairs, including his father-in-law Ramon. "Matthew, a little casual for supper?" Matt snickered a bit as he heard Ramon say that, glad that he was here. "Gabby likes a cold bedroom, and I am freezing at times." Ramon agreed with his son-in-law as he said that, well aware that was the case. "Probably because she's used to the warm, yet you don't seem to be used to it yet." Matt agreed with Ramon as he said that, before smiling as he looked at Noah as he crawled over to him this afternoon. "Hey buddy, you want to come say hi to daddy?" Getting close to his son, Matt smiled as he proceeded to pick his young son up in his arms.

Cuddling up to Noah, Matt smiled as he wrapped his arms around him and just looked at him; at the same time, he held him close and smiled as he moved his hand to his bottom. "Did the boys go down for their pre-supper nap?" Camila agreed with Matt as he asked them all whether the boys went down for their pre-supper nap, which they most definitely did. "They did, I promise Matt." Matt agreed with Camila as she said that, smiling as he turned his head and looked at Noah again; kissing his forehead as he cuddled up to him, Matt smiled as he rocked him. That was, until he heard Antonio speak to him. "So, is there a reason that Gabby isn't down here with you right now?" Matt sighed as Antonio asked him whether there was a reason why Gabby wasn't doing here yet, because he knew that he wanted to spend some time with his sister; and that was what prompted Matt to step into the living room a bit, while continue to rock Noah in his arms as he cuddled up to him and rubbed his back. "That's actually why I'm down here right now, because I need to talk to you guys for a minute." Ramon just looked at his son-in-law as he said that. "Really? The one night that I get an invite."

Based on what Ramon said, Matt already knew what he was thinking about; and just where he thought this conversation was going, which isn't at all where this conversation is headed. Rather, it was just going to be him asking for a bit of a delay in the time. "No Ramon, I promise you that we're still going to be having a family dinner tonight." Ramon agreed with Matt as he said that, glad that was the case. "Oh, sorry…I guess, I just…." Matt already understood what he was trying to say and smiled at him. "It's okay, you're forgiven." Matt then smiled as he proceeded to make his way into the living room so that he could set Noah down in the play pen, so that he could play with his brother for a while. "Now, can I ask my question to you guys when it comes to the entire reason that I'm down here in sweats?" Camila smiled, turning her head. "If it's whether you can wear them when you come downstairs, then yes you can." Matt agreed with Camila as she said that, glad that was the case. "Thank you Camila, but I'm hoping that can be a bit delayed." Camila was confused as she heard Matt say that. "What do you mean?" Matt sighed as Camila asked him said question.

"Gabby's a bit tired right now, and we were hoping to just delay us coming downstairs a bit; then Gabby can relax, and just maybe take a bit of a nap in bed right now. And of course, I would like to be there with her so that I can make sure that she's okay if she has bad dreams." Camila then understood the entire reason behind the sweats. "So, that's why you're wearing comfortable clothes right now." Matt agreed with Camila as she asked him if he was wearing sweats due to the fact that they were going to relax, which was precisely the case. "Yes, that's the entire reason that I'm wearing sweats right now; and I really do hope that you can understand that we need to do this quickly, before we come down and have supper with you guys; because I promise, we're still committed to a family dinner." Camila agreed with Matt as he said that, before turning her head to look at their family. "Of course, I think we can all agree that's fine." Matt smiled as he heard Camila say that, before turning to look at his mom. "You okay with that mom?" Nancy agreed with her son, smiling at him. "Of course, I am sweetheart, you need to rest for a bit and just take it easy." Matt smiled and agreed with her.

At the same time, Matt turned to look at Antonio. "Hey Antonio, can I talk to you in the kitchen for a moment?" Antonio was a bit confused as he heard his brother-in-law say that, before just agreeing. "Okay?" Smiling at his brother-in-law, Matt turned around so that he could go to the kitchen and grab some water; at the same time, Antonio turned to look at his mom. "I'll be right back, okay mom?" Camila agreed with Antonio as he said that, well aware that he would be back soon. "Of course, Antonio, go talk to Matt if that's what he wants you to do." Antonio agreed with his mother as she said that, before smiling as he got up so that he could make his way out of the living room (and into the kitchen); where he'll talk to Matt, once they're alone in the same room as each other.

Making his way into the kitchen (like Matt asked him to do), Antonio smiled as he watched his brother-in-law finish filling up Andy's water bowl and set it on the ground. "If you were asking me to come in here so that you could ask me to watch Andy for a bit so Gabby can rest, then I can do that for you." Turning to face Antonio as he stood up, Matt shook his head as that was not the reason why he asked his brother-in-law to join him in the kitchen. "Oh no. That's not why I asked you to join me here, I have another reason." Antonio was confused as he heard Matt say that, before starting to get a bit concerned; after all, this could be him asking for advice on how to deal with something related to his sister…including whether they should take time, which is why he asked the following question: "Is Gabby okay? Or do you need the night?" Going to grab the water bottle that he brought downstairs, Matt opened it so that he could fill it up with water; but first, he turned to face Antonio (who had nothing to worry about in that situation).

"Oh no, you have no need to worry about that. However, if you're here…then I wouldn't mind getting some help with washing the boys, and you guys giving them a bath." Antonio snickered a bit as he heard Matt say that, well aware that was the case. "I'm sure that our moms can do that for you, but what's the real reason that you called me in here? Because we both know that you didn't ask me to join you in here, just so that you can talk to me about what we can do for the boys and washing them up." Matt smiled at Antonio. "You know me too well brother." Antonio agreed with Matt as he said that. "Is it about Gabby? She okay?" Matt took a breath as Antonio asked him that. "Depends which way you're talking." Antonio sighed, well aware of what Matt was talking about. "Yeah, I guess that's one of the ways that she isn't okay. I hate to even say this, but do you think that you and Gabby should go see somebody?" Matt just looked at his brother-in-law as he mentioned that, which made Antonio think he overstepped.

"You know what, I overstepped." Matt shook his head as he heard Antonio say that, before getting close to him. "Hey, no. You didn't overstep Antonio; I'm just surprised that I haven't thought about it yet." Antonio agreed with his brother-in-law, before smiling at him. "Well, I think that you and Gabby should talk about it. That way, you guys can both decide together whether you guys want to go to counselling; because I think that you guys could benefit from it, especially Gabby." Matt thought about it and agreed with him as that was something that he can get behind. "Oh, I am definitely going to talk to Gabby about it; I promise. But uhm, that's not actually why I asked you to join me in here in the first place." Antonio agreed with Matt as he said that, clearly able to see that's the case now. "So, what's the reason that I've been summoned here to the kitchen with you?" Taking a breath, Matt turned to look into the living room so that he could figure out whether something was going on. "How have things been here in between…." Antonio then understood.

"My parents?" Matt sighed as Antonio said that, as he didn't want it to be that obvious. "Is it that obvious that was what I was talking about?" Antonio agreed with Matt as he asked him whether it was that obvious, because it was (and it was also why Antonio proceeded to cross his arms, as he looked at his brother-in-law). "Matt, I know you just as well as Gabby does because I've known you just as long. Remember, I'm the one that first thought that you guys would be good together." Matt laughed as he heard Antonio say that, as that was the truth. "Yeah, I know what you mean." Smiling at his brother-in-law, Antonio could tell that something was up. "You okay Matt?" Matt sighed as Antonio asked him whether everything was okay because he isn't sure. "I think everything's okay, but I am just trying to find my bearings; a lot's happened recently, and we have Christmas coming up. Not that I want to put a timeline on this grieving process, but we only have three months until we meet the girls; and I want this to be a great first Christmas for the boys."

Antonio agreed with Matt as he said that, clearly able to see that was the case. "And things are going to be fine, simply because you're here with them; right now, just concentrate on making sure that you guys are okay. And I mean that, you need to make sure that you're okay too Matt." Matt agreed with Antonio when he said that, well aware that was the case. "I know." Antonio smiled as he heard his brother-in-law say that, before going to get close to him; after which, he proceeded to hug him. "How's Gabby?" Matt smiled as Antonio asked him how Gabby's doing, because she seems to be doing better. "She already seems to be doing better, but I think she just needs to take a nap right now; and that's why I'm going to head upstairs, and just take a nap with her. We never know how bad it's going to be at night, for the both of us." Antonio sighed as he heard Matt say that, clearly able to see that Gabby was struggling at night too; and that really broke Antonio's heart, as that was the last thing that he wanted for his baby sister.

"I hope that you guys know that you're on my mind all the time Matt, and that I hate how this all went down." Matt agreed with Antonio as he said that, well aware that was the case. "Hey, of course I know that Antonio; you have nothing to worry about when it comes to me not knowing that you hate that this happened, because everybody feels that way." Antonio agreed with Matt as he said that, as that most definitely was the truth. "So, you want us to just keep watching the boys until supper?" Matt agreed. "Right now, I just need to concentrate on Gabby; I know that sounds selfish but…" Antonio shook his head as Matt tried to say that it was selfish, as it wasn't selfish; rather, it's exactly what he needs to do right now. "It's not selfish Matt, it's what you need to do right now." Matt agreed with Antonio as he said that, glad that was how he felt. "Thanks Antonio." Antonio smiled as he herd Matt say that, clearly able to see just how grateful his brother-in-law is for everything that they're doing right now. "Matt, we got this under control."

Matt agreed with Antonio as he said that, well aware that was the case. "I know you guys do, I just want to make sure that you do; that's my job as a dad." Antonio agreed with Matt as he said that, because that was the truth; and he would know that, as he's a father as well. "Listen, you just go upstairs and take it easy with Gabby. We'll let you know when Emily gets here, then we can eat." Matt smiled as he heard Antonio say that. "I'm glad that Emily's able to make it, because I want her to be here; she's family now Antonio, because she's your girlfriend." Antonio agreed with Matt as he said that, really happy to hear that. "Thanks Antonio. Now listen, I'm going to go upstairs and be with Gabby until supper. See you soon." Antonio agreed with Matt as he said that, letting him go upstairs.

Walking into his and Gabby's bedroom shortly after getting him and Gabby some water, Matt smiled as he walked in to see Gabby laying down in bed and just taking it easy as she laid down with Andy; but rather than sleeping, she was still awake and seemingly waiting for him. "So, you talk to my family?" Looking up at his beautiful wife while closing the door to their room behind him, Matt smiled and nodded as he did speak to their family. "They all understood that we need to take a minute to rest, especially since we just got back from the beach; and they said that everything is under control, including the boys." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that. "And they're okay with watching them, and you shouldn't feel guilty that you're not spending time with them." Sighing, Gabby shook her head as it still baffles her just how well Matt knows her; including the fact that she was thinking about that right now. "How did you know that I was thinking about that?" Matt smiled as Gabby asked him how he knew that she was thinking about that.

"Because I know my wife better than she does herself." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that, before moving to sit up in bed; that way, she could also invite him to join her in bed easier. After all, she does want to cuddle up to the man of her dreams for a while; and that was something that Matt wanted to do as well, he wanted to hold his beautiful wife close to him as they get a chance to rest. After all, that was what she needed to do right now; and it was also what she asked her husband to talk to their family about, because she needed to take it easy right now. "I hope you know that I'll do whatever you need me to do, including asking our family for more time. However, I told them that we'd be back down when Emily gets here." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that. "I'm glad that Emily's coming, I want to see her around the boys some more; and I'm glad that Antonio's happy." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before going to set his water bottle down on his side table; while also extending Gabby's water bottle out to her, as he wants her to have a drink of water. "Here, how about you take a sip of water? I think we both know that you need it." Gabby agreed.

She then proceeded to grab the water bottle he was extending to her, ready to take a sip of water thanks to him. "Thanks baby." Matt shook his head as he heard Gabby thank him, as she had no reason to thank him. "It's okay Gabby, you have no reason to thank me." Gabby smiled as she looked up at the most amazing man in the entire world, who just so happens to also be her husband, and the love of her life. "You are too modest Matthew Casey, and we both know that you're the best husband in the entire world." Smiling as he heard Gabby say that, Matt moved to sit down next to the love of his life; after which, he put his hand on her stomach and smiled as he bent down and kissed Gabby softly. At the same time, Gabby put her hand on his face and kissed him softly. "Listen, how about I give you my water bottle? Then, you can put it on your side table; after which, I want you to climb I not bed with me and Andy." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, as that was what he wanted as well. He wants to get in bed with his wife, and service dog. "I love that idea." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that. "Maybe I can take a nap." Matt smiled at Gabby. "Seriously?"

Gabby smiled as Matt asked her that because he knows her too well. "You're right, there's no way that I'm going to sleep." Matt nodded as he heard Gabby say that, before moving to open the covers; after which, he climbed into bed with the woman he loves so that they can lay down in bed with each other. At the same time, Matt sat up and a bit and leaned back against his pillow. Turning his head, Matt smiled as he looked at his beautiful wife; the wife that he wanted to hold in his arms, while she rests in his arms for a bit. "Come here beautiful, come lay down in my arms so that we can relax with each other." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before crawling over to him so that she can lay down in his arms; just like he wants her to do. And she had to say, it was quite comfortable; especially after she slipped her legs in between his, just like she always does when she lays down in Matt's arms (not that he wouldn't want her to do anything other than that). "God, I am so glad that you always do that when we're in bed together."

Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, laying her head down on his chest as she cuddled up to him some more; at the same time, Matt grabbed the covers and tugged them up on top of the both of them. And even though they were in Hawaii, this is still something that they enjoy doing; being all warm as they cuddle up to each other in bed, especially when they're wearing their PJs (or sweats in Matt's case). The truth is, Matt doesn't really have PJs; and that's due to the fact that he always sleeps in his boxers (and at times, a t-shirt). So, if he does need to sleep in PJs; he's really sleeping in sweats, which are very comfortable…just like how he's holding Gabby in his arms right now, because he knows that this is making her feel better. And that's exactly what he wants for Gabby, he wants her to feel better; and he's always going to do whatever he can, whenever he can to make that happen. And Gabby already knows that, simply due to the fact that she loves Matt more than anything in the entire world; and because she's extremely comfortable.

Which is something that Matt should already knows, but he will still always ask her; right after he kisses the top of her head and runs his hand up and down her back. "You comfortable?" Gabby agreed with Matt as he asked her whether she was comfortable, as she most definitely was comfortable here in Matt's arms. "I'm always comfortable when I'm in your arms, especially when I need the emotional comfort from you." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, well aware that was the case. "I know baby, and I hope that you know that you can always talk to me." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. "Of course, I know that baby, and I promise that I'll always know that." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, running his hand up and down her back one last time; after which, he wrapped his arm around her back and turned his head to press his lips to her forehead softly. "If you want to check your e-mails quickly, you can." Looking down at Gabby, Matt was shocked as Gabby said that. "Really?" Gabby agreed.

"I know you want to do it." Matt bit his lip as he heard Gabby say that, before reaching over for his phone; after which, he went to shut it off so that he doesn't get disturbed. "Really?" Matt agreed with Gabby as she asked him whether he was shutting his phone off, which he just did. He doesn't need his phone right now because he has everything he needs right now; right here, with him in his arms. Going to grab her hand, Matt smiled as he proceeded to intertwine their fingers and hold her close to him; after which, he moved to kiss the back of her hand and smiled as he make Gabby smile. After which, he turned his head and bent down to kiss her softly. "You're my priority right now, and I am going to concentrate on you as you sleep; especially since we both know that you might have a bad dream." Gabby took a breath as she heard Matt say that, well aware that was a possibility. "Can I ask you a question baby?" Matt agreed with Gabby as she asked him whether she can ask him a question, because she can always ask him a question.

"Baby, you can always ask me a question. What's going on?" Gabby took a breath. "Do you think that my sleeping problems are going to stay for the rest of the pregnancy?" Biting his lip, Matt wasn't sure what to say when she asked him that; as he didn't know the answer to that question, and he didn't want to say anything wrong. "Gabby, I don't want to make any promises to you; because if they're wrong…" Gabby took a breath, and agreed with Matt. "But I can make you one promise, and that's that I'm going to be right here with you after every bad dream that you may have; that's a guarantee that I can promise you." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. "I know baby." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that, before moving his hand to her back; he then ran his hand up and down her back and smiled as he kissed the top of her head. "Listen, you need to take a nap baby. How about you take it? And when you wake up, I can give you a massage before we go downstairs and spend some time with our family."

Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that, as she loves that idea. "I absolutely love that idea." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before bending down and kissing her again. "I had a feeling that was going to be the case." Gabby snickered a bit as she heard Matt say that, before cuddling up to him as they both held each other close. At the same time, Matt ran his hand up and down Gabby's back while they held each other close in bed, which is exactly what they need to do, as they just relax with each other (and mourn a bit).
