Chapter Two Hundred and Seven
The Caseys Celebrate Three Years
An Anniversary Walk to Remember, Part One
This was really what they needed, and not just Andy; yes, Andy needs to get outside at times so that he can go to the washroom. But he wasn't the only one that truly benefited from going outside. The truth was, everybody in the family benefits from going outside at times; and that was due to the health benefits that it provides them with fresh air, which is both good for the minds (as well as their health). And that was the exact reason that Matt and Gabby were going to go out, even though Gabby just put on some sexy lingerie that Matt was enjoying. But there was something else that Matt was enjoying at the moment, as he made his way into the bathroom once more shortly after getting dressed; and that was the sight of his beautiful wife wearing a tight dress on top of her lingerie, which perfectly hugged her body. And that was something that Matt most definitely enjoyed the sight of, almost as much as the lingerie that she was wearing; just as long as Gabby was comfortable wearing this, and not wearing this just for him (to please him).
And that was something that Matt planned on asking his beautiful wife prior to them leaving, because that was something that he still walked to make sure was happening, even though he loved the sight of Gabby wearing this dressed. "Wow." Looking up at her husband in the mirror, Gabby smiled as she knew that he liked the sight of her wearing his dress; she could just tell based on the way that he was looking at her, as it was in his eyes. The way that his eyes sparkled when he liked to look at something was her tell tale sign that Matt loved the sight in front of him, and she was glad that Matt was enjoying the sight that came with her wearing this dress. Especially because it means that he was going to be okay with her wearing this, even though he wants her to be comfortable. "So, you're okay with me wearing this?" Matt agreed with Gabby as she asked him whether he was okay with her wearing this dress, as he most certainly was okay with her wearing this dress. "Oh, I most certainly am more than okay with you wearing this dress."
Gabby smiled as she heard the man she loves say that, as that was exactly what she wanted to hear him say; simply because he truly does love her more than anything in the entire world, and always will. And there's just this way that Matt makes her feel that really makes her smile and will always make her smile. "As long as you're comfortable, of course." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that. "Oh, I definitely am comfortable; and the truth is, I have been dying to figure out a time for me to get this dress out so that I can try it out." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before walking up behind her. "I didn't even know that you had any new prototypes." Gabby agreed with Matt as she said that, before watching as he put his hands on her sides; after which, he proceeded to grab the zipper on her dress so that he can do it up for her. "This one is brand new, fresh off the plane from New York City." Matt was a bit confused as he heard Gabby say that. "What are you talking about? This from New York Fashion Week?" Gabby shook her head.
"I recently made a deal with the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, they're going to make prototypes; and they're also going to give us some professional training, so that the clothes can be made professionally." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, liking that idea; however, Gabby soon seemed to be a bit nervous. "I mean, if you're okay with that idea." Confused as to why Gabby asked him whether she'd be okay with that idea, Matt pushed on her hip as a way to tell her that he wants her to turn around, which is something that she promptly did, so that she was looking at the man she loves. After which, Matt stepped close to her and moved to put his hands on her stomach; at the same time, Gabby put her hands on his chest and just smiled as she looked up at the man she loves more than anything in the entire world. Moving his hand to Gabby's neck, Matt smirked as he leaned in and kissed her softly. "Why wouldn't I be okay with the idea?" Gabby took at breath. "Because I signed a contract without clearing it with you."
Just looking at the woman he loves as she told him that, Matt just knew what she was worried about; and that was that he would be mad that she used some of their money to sign a contract, without asking his permission first. "Baby, do you really think that you need to ask my permission for that? Gabby, this is OUR money." Looking up at the man she loves as he told her that, Gabby smiled as she felt him move his hand to her neck; after which, he leaned in and proceeded to kiss the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. He then went ahead and picked the woman he loves up in his arms and set her down on the counter so that she was right in front of him. Moving his hands to her stomach shortly afterwards, Matt smirked due to the fact that he really loves this gorgeous woman move than anything in the entire world, and he is extremely proud to have the ability to call her his wife. She's brilliant, and just plain beautiful. And that's something that Gabby needs to know right now. "Baby, you know that I love you right?"
Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. "Of course, I know that Matt." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that, before moving his hands next to her on the counter. "Baby, I want you to listen to me when I say this. Gabby, this is not just my money. This is our money, and we're in this together. You're my partner both in life, and in business. And if you think something is a good idea, and worth spending the money on; then you don't need to ask me to do it, because I want to let you live your dream. Baby, this whole experiment that we're living is still something that we're figuring out; and I would be a hypocrite, if I didn't let you use our money to try and get ELLA off the group by making deals…just like I am with Casey Fire and Police. Sure, we aren't really doing much with Casey Police yet; but we're starting, because we're making some projects and we're paying some experts to help us. And that's the same as what you're doing when it comes to what you're doing with asking the Fashion Institute of Technology to help you."
Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before smiling as she wrapped her arms around his neck; at the same time, Matt wrapped his arms around his beautiful wife as he held her in his arms. "I want you to have the best Gabby, and if that means that I need to let you spend the money and make mistakes; then that's what I'm going to do, because I love you. And you never need to ask me if you want to do stuff like that, because I love you; and we're in this together, for the rest of our lives. I mean that from the bottom of my heart, and I am so glad that you at least told me. Now, I can't wait to see what they're going to send us." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, as she felt the same way. "God, I feel the same way; and I am so glad that we finally got this deal, because I have been trying to find somebody to make the prototypes for us. And in return, we give them jobs in the manufacturing plant. That reminds me, I need you to ask Isaac to make me a contract that I can send to some of my workers in New York; I want to offer them jobs in January."
Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that. "Their commencement is in May, and I want them to start here in June for our Fall Line. Or wherever we want to set up manu…" Getting close to his wife, Matt moved his hand to her neck once again and started to take things nice and slow with her; after all, this isn't the time for them talk about this. Today is their anniversary, and Gabby didn't want him to talk business on the phone; nor did she want to spend time working on it, here at home. Today, they wanted to concentrate on each other; because today is their last anniversary where they just have two kids, and they are going to have four kids next year. And that's going to make things a bit harder to celebrate their anniversary. But that doesn't mean that they aren't going to celebrate their anniversary with each other, as they most definitely are going to celebrate their anniversary with each other; that's something that they're going to do for the rest of their lives. They're always going to celebrate their anniversary together. "Okay, breathe baby."
Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her to breathe, before moving her hands to his chest once again. At the same time, Matt moved his hand to her neck and just looked at the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. Stroking her cheek, Matt smiled due to the fact that this really is exactly what they both want right now; they want to hold each other close as they celebrate their anniversary, one of their favorite things to do with each other on their anniversary. "I love you so much." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. "I love you too Matt, and I am so glad that we're going to go out with each other. We need to get out of the house." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife as she said that, well aware that was the case. "I know, right?" Gabby snickered as she heard Matt say that, before cuddling up to him; after which, she wrapped her arms around his neck and just held the man she loves close to her. After all, that was what they both wanted right now; to hold each other close, and just take it easy.
I mean, what's better than doing that on their anniversary? It's something that they both enjoy more than anything in the entire world, and are really happy that they're in the midst of doing right now; holding each other close, while Matt ran his hand up and down her back. "I love you Gabby, but you really need to relax and just take it easy at times." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. "I know baby." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby said that, before leaning back and looking at the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world; after which, he moved his hand and leaned in so that he could kiss her softly. Taking things nice and slow with his beautiful wife, Matt smirked as he then pulled away and leaned his forehead against hers. That way, they could both take a minute and just concentrate on each other. "Okay, I think that we both know that we can't stay here anymore; because if we do, then we're going to keep being all over each other." Gabby agreed with Matt, well aware that's the case. "I know."
Matt agreed with his gorgeous wife as she said that, before smiling as he proceeded to pick Gabby up in his arms once again (helping her down from the counter in the process); after which, he proceeded to extend his hand so that Gabby could grab it ahead of the two of them walking out of the washroom (together) so that they can go on their walk with Andy.. After all, that's what they both want to do right now. They want to go on a walk, and just spend some time with each other. "I'm glad that we're going out." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, continuing to lead her out of the washroom. "We just need to make sure that we also stay hydrated, for the sake of our little girls." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before seeing that he set their water bottles down on their bed; and that was why she grabbed them as they walked past their bed, which was where Andy was currently waiting for them. But rather than keep him there, Matt made sure to call out for him; after all, he's the entire reason that they're going out in the first place.
Yes, Matt and Gabby are going out so that they can get some fresh air; but Andy was the one that prompted them to want to do that, as he needs to go to the washroom. "I'm glad he hasn't gone to the washroom in the house yet." Matt agreed with Gabby, smiling.
Walking down the path that led them from their home, and towards the beach; Gabby smirked as she was currently holding Matt's hand, with their fingers intertwined. And that truly was exactly what they both wanted to do right now. They wanted to hold each other close,, as they walked with each other (and Andy). They wanted to have fun, and just spend the day together; however, that's just while they're outside. Matt and Gabby both know that they're not going to be spending much time outside, as they have plans that they'd like to get back to when they're home. Plans that they are both going to enjoy together, simply because they're going to do them together. Some of those things are (of course) related to what Gabby is wearing, that nice, tight dress that she's wearing for him right now; a dress that he, and only he is going to be taking off later. And that was something that he was going to make crystal clear to his wife, as he wrapped his arm around her waist and put his hand on her butt. "I love this dress by the way."
Gabby laughed as she heard Matt say that, before wrapping her arm around his back; at the same time, Matt turned his head and proceeded to kiss the top of her head. And let's just say that Gabby absolutely loved it when he did that, as it's the most intimate thing that he can do when they're walking together; side-by-side, while holding each other close. Most of the time though, they're holding each other's hands with their fingers intertwined, which is exactly what she's trying to tell Matt that she wants him to do. She wants him to grab his hand, and she wants him to intertwine their fingers. And luckily for her, he finally got the message as he soon grabbed her hand and intertwined their fingers (as she wanted him to do). "Thank god you finally did that; I was starting to think that you weren't getting the message that I want you to grab my hand." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, having seen her frustration. "I could tell that you were starting to get bit frustrated, and that was why I made sure to grab your hand the moment I got a chance."
Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, stroking his hand with their fingers intertwined in the process; at the same time, she also wrapped her arms around his bicep and laid her head down on his arms. And let's just say that Matt was happy that she did that, as he's always happy when she lays her head down on his arms. It gives him this warm feeling of closeness in his heart, which is not something that he felt when they were apart last summer; in fact, he felt a million miles away from his wife (and not just due to the fact that she was in Puerto Rico at the time). "Is it just me or is this the closest we've been to each other in a while." Turning to look at Matt as he said that, Gabby was confused as she didn't understand what he meant. "What are you talking about baby?" Turning to look at his wife, Matt smiled. "Because last time I checked, we're always close to each other as we cuddle in bed." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, well aware that was the case. "I don't mean physically baby." Gabby agreed with Matt.
After which, she continued to walk down the path to the beach; after all, she did want to walk with him and Andy on the beach. "I'm talking about emotionally. I just feel like we're so in sync recently, and I'm really happy that's the case." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, feeling the same way with regards to how close they feel with each other. "I feel the same way, and I am so glad that you feel that way. I was starting to get worried that you didn't feel that way." Turning his head, Matt looked at the woman he loves. "Then why didn't you say anything Gabby?" Taking a breath, Gabby looked up at Matt. "I didn't want you to worry, or just have it run in your head all the time. I want you to just take it easy, and I want you to breathe while knowing that everything is okay between us." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, as they both continued to make their way down the path towards the beach. "But if that isn't the case Gabby, then why are you lying to me; and telling me that things are okay, when they aren't okay?" Talking a breath, Gabby sighed.
"I guess for my own sanity, and not wanting to overthink things. It'll keep my blood pressure down, and that will help the twins. We already lost one baby and…" Moving his arm around Gabby's shoulders, Matt brought her close to him as he already heard enough; and he most certainly did not need to hear more, not when this is a subject that's still hard for the both of them to talk about. I mean, you can probably see that being the case simply by how Gabby just reacted at the moment. "Sorry, it's still a hard topic to talk about." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, well aware that was the case. "Of course, it is baby, and I understand that. I just want you to know that you aren't in this alone, and that we're in this together; I mean that, and I am so glad that you at least are starting to open up to me. It's what I want you to do each and every day, and I want you to promise me that you're going to keep opening up to me as much as you can." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, more than ready to do just that; as it's what she needs to do for him.
She needs to be open and honest with him, and she can't hide things from him; because that won't help anybody, it'll just hurt all the progress that they've made since last October. "I guess old habits die hard at times." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before taking a breath. "I know what you mean, because I've done it in the past; when I thought that I was dealing with PTSD and didn't tell you for a while." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. "I know, but it's okay now; I promise that we're good when it comes to that, because we're dealing with it together as husband and wife." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife as she said that, smiling as he wrapped his arm around her once again. After all, that was exactly what they're both doing, dealing with Matt's PTSD as a team. As that's what they are first and foremost, at team comprised of a husband and wife who love each other more than anything in the entire world. But that's not all they are, because they're also parents to Matteo and Noah (who are both crawling).
"So, while we're out here; I thought that we could talk about something." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that. "And what would said thing be?" Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that, before turning his head and looking at the woman he loves. "The fact that both of the boys are crawling now, and how in the world we're going to deal with that." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before snickering a bit due to the fact that it's exactly what she wants to think about; their beautiful sons, who are growing so fast. "I truly think that this is a wake-up call." Matt was confused as he heard Gabby say that, not sure where she was taking this conversation. "What are you talking about Gabby?" Taking a breath, Gabby turned her head and looked at the man she loves. "I want to see these milestones Matt, not hear about them; I want to see them, and not have to miss out on them." Matt agreed with his wife, smiling; after which, he went ahead and kissed the side of her head. "Is it making you think about whether you want to be without them?"
Turning her head, Gabby shook her head as that was the last thing that she was thinking about right now; after all, she does want to be alone with her husband. She always wants to be alone with him on their anniversary, and that isn't going to change just because she's sad that she missed a couple of the boys' milestones. "No, that's not changing. I want to be with you on our anniversary, and only you. You're my husband, I love you, and this is what I want. I want to be with you, and I want to concentrate on celebrating the fact that we've been married for three years." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, glad that was the case; after all, he is enjoying this time that they're spending with each other. "Good, because I miss this quality time that we have with each other. It's going to get even more rare as we have more kids, and when the work gets busier." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. "Tell me about it." Matt snickered as he heard Gabby say that, well aware that she was thinking about the photoshoot.
"Are you sad that you missed the photoshoot today?" Turning her head, Gabby shook her head due to the fact that she most definitely was not sad that she missed the photoshoot today; because there was nowhere else that she'd rather be, than with him as they celebrate their anniversary. "That's never something that you're going to have to worry about, because I want to be with you on our anniversary." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, smiling at her; at the same time, Andy continued to walk with them (at the same pace that they were walking at). And the truth was, Matt appreciated that as it meant that they could walk with it. He wasn't going too fast, and he was just doing everything perfectly. He was taking his time, and making sure that he and Gabby can do everything right. "I swear, we really did get a good pick when it came to Andy." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before turning to look at her husband; after which, she took a breath as she wanted to ask Matt something that may be hard for him to answer.
"Matt,, you remember how you said that I can always ask you anything?" Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, as that most certainly; and will always be the case, because she can always talk to him. "Something bothering you Gabby?" Gabby shook her head. "Just a question that I am starting to think about right now, and I would really like to know what your answer to the question is." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, more than okay to give her an answer to the question. "Well then, how about you ask me the question? And if I have an answer for you, then I will try my best to give it to you." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, glad that was the case, especially since the question that she's going to ask him may be hard for him to answer; in fact, she already knew that it will be hard for him to answer. And that's due to the fact that it's related to part of his PTSD, and some of the harder times in his life, which is the entire reason that they got Andy (the dog) in the first place. But she still wants to ask him the question.
"Matt, when you say his name; does it ever make you think about our late friend Andy?"
