Chapter Two Hundred and Eight
Post-Baptism Intimate Alone Time

Halstead Family Home, Farmers Rd – To say that Alex was happy to finally be home was an understatement, especially since it meant that what was happening downstairs at the moment could finally happen; and that was bonding time, between her children and their grandfather. Yes, you heard that right, their grandfather. As we all already know, Jay and Will's dad has died recently; so, it can't be him that Alex is talking about, especially not when she's actually talking about Hank. Yes, that Hank; the one who sent her into premature labor is actually here right now, and there was a reason for that. That reason being due to the fact that today was the day, the day where she and Jay finally got a chance to do what they've been waiting to do for a while. And just what might that be? Well, that would be that they got to Baptize their children into the Catholic Church, which is something that Jay's wanted to do for a while. And now, they've finally gotten the chance to do it today (not like they could've done it tomorrow, as the godparents are working).

Well, two of the godparents. What did you expect? Did you really think that Jay and Alex could've gotten away with not choosing Will and Natalie as some godparents? Well, , you'd be crazy to think that; because that was not what was going on. Rather, they were currently just relaxing and taking it easy. Well, for now. They've already been together for a while, over three hours already; and Jay can already tell that his wife is starting to get a bit tired, which is the entire reason why Alex is actually in the midst of getting changed in their room. And she wasn't just getting changed out of her dress, but into something nice for him. Yes, she wore a dress o the baptism; she thought that she would at least do that, as she's the mom. But now that she was home, screw that. That's not her, and she wanted to be comfortable during the (short) time that their family are going to be here. They're here for the weekend after all. So, they're just going to be here for like maybe fifteen minutes so that they can just talk for a bit, and they've been together since lunch.

And the truth is, Alex is already starting to get a bit annoyed with her father; because she can just tell that he's biting his tongue, and that he's going to want to talk to her about them moving home. Because he wants to be involved in being with the grandkids, and being a grandfather; after all, all of his grandchildren have moved away. But that's not going to happen, as Jay and Alex are happy here in Hawaii; and it's good for Jay's PTSD, which is what she's going to talk to her father about at some point. But first, Alex is going to talk to her husband for a bit; and that was due to the fact that Jay just made his way into their bedroom, because he could see that it was where he needed to be right now. He needed to be in their room, so that Alex could talk to him for a bit; and just get some things off her chest, which is exactly what he's here to do in the first place. He's here to be her sounding board, and to make sure that she's okay; but still, that doesn't mean that they're going to be all over each other just because they're alone. If anything, it's the opposite.

Jay is just here to make sure that Alex is okay and is calm for when she comes downstairs; and that starts with him walking into their room and taking a moment to admire her in the mirror that she was currently standing in front of. "I have to say, that dress looked really good on you today." Looking over to smile at her handsome husband as he stood at the door to their room, Alex watched as Jay leaned against the door and just concentrated on her; after which, she decided to make a joke. "May I remind you that your brother, and my father are here Jay? I would rather you not flirt with me and get me all excited when you can't perform for me afterwards." Jay snickered das he heard Alex say that, well aware of just what she was talking about; after which, he turned to look outside and just heard Will speaking to Hank. And that could only mean one thing, and that was that their family was distracted right now, which also means that they can just be with each other for a moment, while Jay helps his gorgeous wife get out of that tight dress.

"Do you need some help?" Turning around to face Jay, Alex smirked due to the fact that she most definitely would love to get some help from the man of her dreams; the man she loves more than anything in the entire world, her loving husband of eleven months. And god, she still can't believe that they are less than a month away from celebrating their first wedding anniversary. "Of course. How about you close the door behind you, and come help me?" Jay agreed with Alex as she said that, smiling as he proceeded to close the door behind him; that way, he could get a bit of alone time with the woman he loves. The woman he craves, and whom he is extremely proud to call the love of his life; and the mother of his children, which is a title that she will have for the rest of her life (along with the titles: his wife, and Ms. Halstead). While she may not be the first Ms. Jay Halstead, she will be the last Ms. Jay Halstead; as what they have is forever, and this is something that Jay is proud to have forever….Alex's love, because he loves her.

And that's why he wants to do this for her, get her undressed; that way, he can get a bit of intimate time with the woman of his dreams. The woman he craves, and the only woman that he wants to be with at the end of the day. The woman he wants to fall asleep with every night and wake up with her in his arms each and every morning. "I think I already know what I want you to wear on New Year's Eve this year." Alex snickered as she heard Jay say that, before watching as he made his way over to her; after all, that was what she wanted right now, for the love of her life to make his way over to her. That way, he can help her get undressed and be in a place where she's a bit more comfortable than she is in this dress. "I have to say, I'm going to miss you wearing this dress." Alex agreed with Jay as he told her that, well aware that was the case. "I know you will, but you'll just have to deal with it baby." Jay agreed with Alex. "I know I will, and I promise that I will." Alex agreed with Jay as he said that, smiling as he really is the man of her dreams.

But now, she was not smiling as he made his way over to her; but instead, she was smiling as she stared into his eyes. And that was due to the fact that Jay was standing right in front of her, with his hands on her hips as he held her body against his muscular chest, which she most definitely did enjoy running her hands all over last night and will enjoy doing the same tonight. The reason? Because of Jay's surprise. And just what surprise might that be? Well, that would be something that he just spoke to her father about, which Jay is going to love, because Alex is going to love it too. And that would be related to where they are going to be spending the weekend, and that would not be here at their home on Farmers Rd. Ever since the kids were born, he's been wanting to take his wife away; and he's wanted to just have time alone with his wife, but he hasn't had a babysitter to do that…as his brother's been busy. But now that Hank's here, he thinks that he can convince Alex to get away. For them to take the night to themselves and enjoy some time.

But first, he wants to help her out; just after he gets another kiss from his beautiful wife, as she stood close to him in this tight dress that he just loves. "God, I am so glad that you decided to wear this dress." Alex smiled as she heard Jay say that. "Does this mean that I'm going to get a bit lucky from my husband today?" Jay smirked as he heard Alex say that, as she most definitely will be. "Maybe even all weekend, if you agree to my plans." Alex was confused as she heard Jay say that, before looking at the man she loves; after all, she wasn't exactly sure what he meant by his plans. But that was something that he wanted to share with Alex and get her approval of; especially since Will and Natalie are going to be the ones helping them, as they will be bringing them to the penthouse with Hank. "It's actually once of the reasons why I'm in here, because I have an idea; and I would love to talk to you about it, while the kids take a nap and everybody else relaxes for a bit after the longer ceremony than we expected." Alex agreed with Jay, before smirking.

She then put her hands on his face, and smiled as she started to take things nice and slow with the man she loves. "You want to get in bed, and just relax for a bit?" Jay agreed with Alex, as that was exactly what he wanted to do; he wanted to sit in bed with the woman he loves, and he wants to talk to her about something that he's been wanting to do for a while. And that would be just get some time with his beautiful wife, without having to also take care of the twins, which is something they haven't gotten a chance to do since the hospital, if you can believe that. Since the twins were born, they have always been with the twins; but now, Jay thinks that it's time that they take a weekend alone…and just spend time together as husband and wife, while her father takes care of the twins. He truly believes that they can trust him, because he knows that he can't screw this up; or else, he's going to leave Hawaii, and he won't be back for a while. That, and Jay really misses alone time with Alex. So, he's really hoping that she says yes. "I would love that."

Moving her hands to Jay's chest, Alex smirked and agreed with him; after which, she got close to the man she loves and wrapped her arms around his neck. At the same time, Jay moved his hands to her back and smirked as he leaned in and kissed her softly. "Shirt, I want you in jeans if I'm in lingerie." Jay agreed with Alex as she said that, before smirking as Alex walked away so that she can go sit in their bed (where they're going to talk). At the same time, Jay went to grab his shirt; after all, she did just say that she wants it off. And if his wife wants his shirt off, then she's going to get his shirt off; because at the end of the day, Alex is his boss…and he has to listen to her demands. Which is something that Jay is more than happy to do, as it means that he's going to get some attention from the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. His beautiful wife, and the love of his life: Ms. Alexandra Marie Halstead. And god, does he love it when people call her Ms. Halstead; because it truly makes his heart just skip a beat, and it always will.

And that's why Jay is more than okay with getting in bed with Alex, because that's what she wants him to do; she wants him in bed, which means that she's going to get him in bed….especially when she's wearing that lingerie that she's currently wearing, because boy is it sexy; and it's exactly what Jay wants to feel right now, especially when he's been missing her for a while. And he just feels like he needs this, time alone with the love of his life; as they both hold each other close, and just relax with each other. And he already knows that Alex is going to feel the same way, simply because he can see that she misses him; and if he misses her, he can only imagine how much she misses him. His touch, his love, the intimate time that they can get with each other when they don't have the twins (not that they've had that much); but now, they have a chance to get just that, and Jay is more than ready to jump at the chance. And if not with Hank (alone), then maybe Will and Natalie can supervise the time alone; and stay the night at the penthouse.

Taking off his shirt as he walked up the side of the bed, Jay smirked as he set it down at the end of their bed, which is exactly where Alex wants his shirt to be, at the end of their bed for the moment. And that's due to the fact that she just wants a bit of alone time with her loving husband, which Jay wants as well; but for another reason, one that you are already aware of. He wants to be alone with her, so that he can talk to her about them getting a bit of time with each other. Time alone, without the kids (which is exactly what they've been needing for a while anyways). Time without the kids, where they can just be husband and wife. And that's what he's going to talk to her about, just as soon as he's in bed with Alex. "I wish you were in boxers." Jay smirked as he heard Alex say that, as he felt the same way. "Me too, but that can be a possibility later; when we're alone, and just holding each other?" Alex agreed with Jay as he said that, glad that he was already thinking about that. "Want to get our families to leave, and put the twins down?"

Jay bit his lip as Alex asked him that, because that was the exact topic that he wanted to talk to her about. "That's actually what I want to talk to you about." Alex was a bit confused as she heard Jay say that, not exactly understanding just where this conversation was headed. "Okay, you're really going to have to tell me what the hell you're talking about." Jay took a breath as he heard Alex say that, before getting in bed with the woman he loves; laying down on his side (against his pillow), Jay smirked as he moved to get close to his beautiful wife before tugging her body against his chest. At the same time, Alex cuddled up to him and smiled as she wrapped her arms around his muscular torso (which is something that she loves to cuddle up to); but you already knew that, because of how intimate this couple loves being with each other. "So, what do you want to talk to me about Jay? Because I'm a bit confused." Jay agreed with Alex as she said that, before going to grab her hand and taking a breath. "What do you think of a weekend together?"

Looking at Jay as he asked her that. "You mean like…" Jay nodded. "Just the two of us, without the twins for the first time." Taking a breath as she looked at the man she loves, Alex really had to think of that; because she hadn't been expecting it, especially not because of what Jay is trying to imply. Is he thinking of Hank? God, so many questions that they still need to answer. And there's just a lot to Alex even wants to think about, including whether she can do it when she is already in a shaky relationship with her father. "Listen, I know this is out of the blue." Alex agreed with her husband as he said that, as it most definitely is out of the blue. "Yeah, talk about it. We just get home from the baptism, and you're already talking about shipping the kids away so you can have me in bed." Getting up out of bed, Alex was a bit offended; after which, Jay just watched as she walked away to the window of their room. At the same time, Jay decided to get up once again so that he could make his way over to his wife; after all, it's what he needs to do.

He can't just let Alex stand there alone, not when he's her husband; and he loves her more than anything in the entire world, which is the entire reason behind him wanting to do this for her. It's what they both need to have. They need to get some time alone with each other, and he just wishes that Alex could see that; she's all stressed, and she needs time to concentrate on herself. And that's something that she wants her to concentrate on. But if she doesn't want it, then they don't have to push it; rather, he can drop it and just put it to a bad idea. But the truth is, Jay doesn't think it's a bad idea; because it's what Alex needs, it's what they both need. And that's what he's going to talk to her about, just as soon as he's standing behind her; which is exactly what he is now. He's standing behind the woman he loves, with his hands on her hips as he brought her body back against his chest; after which, Jay bent down and kissed Alex's neck softly to get her attention. And god, was that something that was nice; ;and it even made her moan. "Jay…."

Smirking, Jay proceeded to turn his beautiful wife around so that he can hold her close. "Come here beautiful." Alex agreed with Jay as he said that, before stepping close to the man she loves; that way, she can hold him close to her and just relax in his arms. After all, that's what they both want to do right now. They want to relax, and they want to hold each other close. And as much as Alex hates to admit that she wants that, she knows that it's what she needs right now. She needs to get some time with her husband, and she needs to relax with him. She can't always spend time with the kids, because that's not healthy; rather, she needs to be alone with Jay at times…and that's what they're being offered a chance at. "Alex, I know we still have a lot of issues with your dad; do you really think I don't know that?" Alex shook her head as Jay asked her that, as she knew that he was well aware of it. Heck, he's just as frustrated as she is at times. "Alex, listen…I'm not going to push, but I'm just thinking about something. Can you hear me out?" Alex agreed.

"Alex, how many nights alone have we had together since we had the twins? Times where it's just been me and you, without any disturbances? Times where we can concentrate on each other, and our marriage?" Alex thought about it, before sighing. "Since we gave birth to the twins, I do not remember." Jay agreed with Alex as she told him that, before moving his hand to her neck; after which, he leaned in and proceeded to take things nice and slow with the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "Alex, I love you; and I want to show you that. I want to show you how much I love you, and how much you mean to me. I haven't done that in so long, and I want to do that for you again. Listen, I know it's scary…but it's always going to be scary. Us leaving the kids, them being away from us. I know that it's going to be scary for you. But there are times where it's going to have to happen, because we need time; and the truth is…as much as I love the kids, I miss my wife." Alex looked up into Jay's eyes, staring at time.

"I know, I get you all the time with the kids. But I miss my wife, and I miss the time that we got to be alone before we had kids; the times where we weren't on a schedule, and where we didn't have to wake up in the middle of the night. I know that's something I should love to do, but I miss you; and the truth is, I've been struggling with my PTSD since September." Alex just looked at Jay as he said that. "Jay, why didn't you say anything?" Taking a breath, Jay looked at Alex. "You were in your last trimester, and that meant I had to reduce the stress; I knew that September 11th was a hard time for me, and I tried my best to keep it away…but then I feel like it's just been building for a while, and I haven't got it out. And it's been simmering for almost three months, and we're nearing our anniversary; and I just…" Moving his hand to Alex's neck, Jay stepped close to her and then brought his lips to hers. "I need time with my wife, so that we can talk; so that I can concentrate on us, and so that I can concentrate on my mental health."

Alex agreed with Jay as he told her that. "And getting the offer made me think about it, I hope that's okay." Alex agreed with Jay as he said that, well aware that was the case. "Hey, I understand Jay; and we can talk about it, including where and how. Are they going to go to the penthouse? Or what are we doing?" That's when Jay heard his brother at the door. "Oh sorry, I just need a pacifier." Jay agreed with Will. "Oh, top drawer right there by the door." Alex agreed with Will, who soon looked at them. "And why would the boys go to the penthouse, by the way?" Sighing, Jay looked at his brother. "Me and Alex were just talking, and we've realized that…we haven't really had much time to ourselves of late, time where we can be husband and wife." Will smiled as he heard Jay say that, well aware of what he was talking about. "Let me guess, you're waiting for me and Natalie to offer my services?" Jay sighed as he looked at his brother. "The truth is, I need to talk to Alex; and things have been hard recently, my health has been a bit iffy since September 11th."

Will just looked at his brother as he said that, getting concerned. "You okay Jay?" Jay agreed with his brother as he asked him that. "Yeah, I am…I just didn't really get a chance to talk to Alex about it, and I feel like…" :Turning to look at Alex, Jay sighed as he wrapped his arm around her. "Like there's been tension since that day, which I don't like. I would rather we just talk it out, and make sure that we're okay. We haven't really had a chance to do that in a while. But we can come talk to you guys if that's okay?" Will smiled. "I'll mention it to Natalie, but you guys make your minds up first." Jay agreed with his brother as he said that, before watching as he went to grab a pacifier for one of the twins; after which, he left so that he can take care of the kids again. At the same time, Jay turned his attention back to Alex. "Back to bed as we talk about this?" Stepping close to Jay, Alex agreed as she put her hand on his chest; after which, she started to take things slow with him (quickly). After which, she grabbed his hand and led him back to bed.
