Chapter Two Hundred and Twenty
It's Still Hard

"It's still hard."

Those were the only words that Matt needed to hear today to know what his plans are for today, which is to give his wife the comfort that she needs; the comfort that she still needs, as she continues to grieve the loss of their child. And if that's what she needs to do right now, then he's going to be there, by her side, every step of the way. And that's just a fact, simply because he's her husband; and as her husband, it's his job to make sure that things get easier. Especially since he knew what things meant, and that was that she may have just been projecting what he wanted to see on her face yesterday; the beautiful smile that he always wants to see on her face. But the truth is, she may not have been all smiles after all. And that was something that he wanked to make clear to her, that she didn't need to fake a smile for him; if she didn't feel like smiling, then she can show that she's sad. And now that she revealed to him that it's still hard, it seems that Gabby is doing just that; and that was because she was currently standing at the window of their room.

At the same time, she had her hands on her stomach, which can only mean that she's thinking about it right now: the fact that she's still carrying their late son. And that truly breaks his heart more than anything, as it's still something that he can't find himself being able to believe; even though he knows it's the truth, just the fact that his beautiful wife is carrying their late son is always going to be heard. And that's why his heart is truly just breaking for Gabby right now, as he just looks at her. "I can tell that you're there Matt." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before making his way into their room. "You seem to forget that Andy always lifts his head up when you walk into the room, making his dog tags rattle." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before walking over to Andy; after which, he moved his hand to the top of his head and scratched it. "Yeah, you like giving me away; don't you bud?" Andy then went ahead and laid back down, as this was his time to sleep. He sleeps during the day, while staying awake at night (most of the time).

At the same time, Matt made his way over to Gabby at the window; while also watching her turn around, so that she was facing him once he was right in front of her. After all, that was where she wanted him right now. She wanted him to hold her close, and just rub her body with his hands, which Matt is more than happy to do, if that's what she wants him to do. First, he just needs to make sure that she knows that he's always here for her if she needs to talk; because she's starting to shut down again, and that's the last thing that she needs to do when she's grieving for their late son. "Gabby, you know that you need to talk to me, right? When you start thinking this way, you really should talk to me." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before stepping close to him; after which, she put her hands on his chest and ran her hands down his toned chest. At the same time, Matt wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her forehead softly. After all, this truly is exactly what they both want to do right now; hold each other and console each other.

After all, Gabby isn't the only one that's still grieving; because Matt's still grieving as well, for both their late son and his wife. Stepping close to Gabby, Matt wrapped his arms around her and just stared down into her eyes; after which, Gabby put her hand on his chest and looked up at him. Kissing his beautiful wife softly, Matt took things nice and slow with her (which is exactly what she needed him to do right now). She needed him to take things nice and slow with her, so that he can start making her feel better; and him kissing her most definitely does make her feel better, because it makes her feel happy. And it also makes her feel extremely loved. And she most certainly is (and will always be), simply because Gabby is his whole world (which will never change). "I hope you know that I mean it when I say that you can always talk to me." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before wrapping her arms around him. "I know." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, glad that was the case; after which, he looked out of their window at the ocean.

"Does the ocean help you take it easy and relax?" Wrapping her arms around Matt's back, Gabby agreed with him as it most definitely does help her relax. It makes her smile, and it just makes her feel better; but not as much as he does, because he truly makes her feel a lot better. And that's always going to be the case. "Matt, I hope you know that you really are the one who makes he biggest difference in how I'm getting through this; you do know that, right baby?" Looking down at Gabby, Matt agreed with her as he then bent down and proceeded to kiss the woman he loves softly. "Hey, of course I know that Gabby; and if you want to talk about it, then we can talk about it all you want. I would rather just not do it here as we stand at the window. I'd rather do it in bed, where we can hold each other close and just take it easy with each other." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before getting close to him. Wrapping her arms around him, Gabby took a breath as she is very grateful to have him in her lip. "I am not worthy of you."

Looking down, Matt sighed as she knew how much he hated the sound of that. "Gabby, you need to stop saying that. You do deserve me, because I love you more than anything in the entire world; and that will always be the case, for the rest of our lives." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. After which, she leaned in and took things nice and slow with the man of her dreams. "I know I need to stop saying it, but I can't. So please, just let me say it." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before wrapping his arms around her; at the same time, Gabby ran her hands up his back as they both held each other close. Kissing her forehead at the same time, Matt smiled as he was happy to have her in his arms. "You ready to go lay down in bed? Or do you need me to hold you here for a bit more?" Looking up at Matt, Gabby smiled as she thought about what she needed right now. "Can you kiss me while I think about it?" Matt smirked as Gabby asked him that, before bending down and kissing her softly.

Just taking things nice and slow with his girl, Matt smirked due to the fact that this really is exactly what he wants to be doing right now; he wants to hold the woman he loves close to his chest, as he kisses her nice and slowly. "I love you Gabby, and I want you to remember that. And if you ever need me, then you come to me. I will always be here for you, for the rest of our lives." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. "I know baby, and I am so glad that's the case." Matt agreed with Gabby as she told him that before kissing her forehead softly, while also making sure that she's okay, which is when he decided that he was done standing up, and that he was ready to get back in bed. So, he let her go and extended his hand so that he can take her back to bed. Anyways, that's where she wants to me (like she just said); so, Gabby did just as Matt wanted. She grabbed his hand so that they can head back to bed with each other. I mean, what's better than the two of them cuddling up to each other in bed…especially when she needs it.

Walking up to the side of their bed together, Gabby turned around so that she can face Matt; after which, he got close to her and proceeded to kiss her softly. Taking things nice and slow with the man she loves as she kissed her, Gabby smiled due to the fact that this is exactly what they both want to do right now; they want to hold each other close, as they grieve together. "Do you want to get in bed ahead of me? Then I can crawl into bed with you, and just hold you in my arms as we share a kiss and enjoy this time with each other." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, because that's something that she most definitely does want to do. She wants to hold the man she loves, and she wants to just make sure that they cuddle up to each other; after all, she's never going to say no to the two of them holding each other close. And that's why Gabby was ready to have Matt in bed with her. "I will, and you aren't going to take too long to join me in bed. Because that's exactly what I want." Matt agreed with Gabby, before climbing into bed with her.

Climbing into bed with the woman of his dreams, Matt smirked as he got close to her and then moved nice and close to her; after which, he wrapped his arm around her and put his hand on her back. Stroking her back with his thumb, Matt smiled as he felt Gabby move her hands to his chest; at the same time, Gabby cuddled up to him some more so that he could give her some comfort. And that's when Matt realized what Gabby really wanted, and that would be for him to hold her right now; she didn't want him to do anything other than hold her and make her feel better. "Baby, look up at me." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before moving her hand to his neck. At the same time, Matt moved his hand to her neck and bent down so that he could take things nice and slow with the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. After all, that's exactly what she wants him to do right now. She wants him to take things nice and slow with her, as he holds her in his arms. "Baby, why didn't you tell me about who you're feeling?"

Gabby took a breath as she heard Matt say that, before looking down. "I didn't want to make you feel like you had to grieve with me if you were done." Matt shook his head as he heard Gabby say that, as that truly was the last thing that he wanted to hear; if she needs him to grieve with her, then he'll grieve with her. "Baby, please don't say that. Gabby, you're my wife and I love you more than anything. If you need me to grieve with you, then I'll do it for as long as you need me to grieve baby. I promise you that, and that's a guarantee that you always have for the rest of our lives; didn't I do that for you while you grieved for Shay?" Gabby agreed with Matt as he asked her whether he did that for her while she grieved for Shay, as he most definitely did do just that. He helped her grieve, and it was a really nice thing for him to do. "And I really appreciate that, and I also appreciate you proposing with the ring that she helped pick out." Matt smirked as he heard Gabby say that. "Yeah, because I was going to buy another ring; I wasn't rich at the time."

Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that. "I think you mean we weren't rich." Matt shook his head. "We weren't married at the time, so it was me. You were just my girlfriend at the time, I was the one with the money." Gabby laughed as she heard Matt say that, before smiling at him. "There's the nice smile that I love more than anything in the entire world." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before slipping close to him; after which, she put her hands on his chest and just smiled as she was incredibly happy to be with Matt right now. There's just something about this amazing man that she loves more than anything in the entire world that makes her happy, and that makes her smile so much; and that's especially the case as he leans over her and starts taking things nice and slow with her. Oh god, the way he does that is so perfect; that it just makes Gabby move her hands to his neck without even thinking about it. Rather, she just does it naturally; just like Matt moved his hand under the covers and put it on her leg (which she loved the feeling of).

"You know I love that feeling, right?" Matt agreed with Gabby as she asked him whether he knew that she loves that feeling, as he most definitely does in fact know that she loves the feeling of his (strong) hand on her leg. "I know you do baby, because I know it's what you need." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that. "And this week, we need to do some Christmas shopping." Matt then realized something. "That's right, Santa needs to get a couple gifts for Matteo and Noah." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that. "I may have some ideas for what we can get." Matt agreed. "Do you want to do a bit of shopping? They can ship it here?" Gabby agreed with Matt. "Just to let you know, I don't need a gift this year." Matt then realized something. "Shit, your anniversary gift. I didn't get you anything." Gabby shook her head as she heard Matt say that. "Baby, you already gave me everything I wanted." Moving her hand to her stomach, Gabby smiled as she was referring to their daughters; after which, Matt moved his hand to her stomach too.

But it wasn't long before he also moved something else to her stomach, which would be his lips.

The kisses that Matt were giving her stomach was paradise, and it just made her really smile; because it made Gabby feel so happy. Even though she was still sad over the fact that she lost one of the triplets, she was also happy because she has the best husband in the entire world. And she's incredibly proud of the fact that Matt is her husband, and the man she loves more than anything in the entire world. It's exactly what she needs in her life, and Matt already knows that; he just knows that she needs ahead of time, and that makes Gabby feel extremely lucky. I mean, what woman wouldn't like the fact that her husband knows ahead of time exactly what she needs, when she needs it. And right now, she was currently getting exactly what she wants from him. And that most certainly included the kisses that she was about to get on her lips rather than her stomach. Moving up her body, Matt moved his hand to Gabby's side and then bent down so that he could kiss her softly. At the same time, Gabby moved her hand to Matt's neck as she kissed him.

And god, the way their lips just move against one another's is so perfect; there's nothing like the way she gets to kiss this gorgeous man who was currently hovering over her. "Matt, I love it when you just lean over me like this and kiss me." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, well aware that was the case; so much so, that he went ahead and kissed her once again. Just taking things nice and slow with his gorgeous wife, Matt smirked due to the fact that this is exactly what they both need; they need to hold each other in bed, and they just need to take things nice and slow with each other. "Gabby, I want you to be honest with me. Do you need me to do anything? Is there anything that I can do for you right now? Something that I can do to make things better? Or that I can just go get for you?" Gabby smiled as Matt asked her whether there was something that he can do for her, and there is. He can just keep being this incredible husband whom she loves more than anything in the entire world, because he's a natural at it.

"Baby, all I need is for you to keep being this amazing man that I love more than anything in the entire world. You make me feel so much better, and I am just glad that you're okay with us just laying down here in bed." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, as he's always going to be okay with them just laying down in bed with each other; if it's what they need to do, so that they can feel better. "I'll always be okay with-it Gabby because I want you to feel good. And if this makes you feel good, then I'm all for it. And that's especially the case right now because I know that you're still grieving. We're both still grieving, and that means that we both need to stay in bed." Gabby looked at Matt as he said that. "Well, you could always go work." Matt shook his head as he heard Gabby say that, as that wasn't going to happen, which he just proved, by bending down so that he could kiss her softly. "Today, we're spending the day in bed with each other…because this is where you need me to be right now. You need me to hold you, and console you."

Gabby took a breath as she thought about that word. "I guess, I am still dealing with it." Rolling over onto his side, Matt moved to rest his head on his hand; while also placing his hand on Gabby's side to try and get her to roll over, so that they were facing each other. And luckily for him, it didn't take much convincing on his part as Gabby soon rolled over so that she was laying down on her side. After which, she got close to him and went to grab the sheets. Tugging them up on top of the both of them, Gabby smiled as she looked at the man she loves; after which, she moved extremely close to her and put her hand on his arm. After all, that was exactly where they both want her hand to be. They want it to be anywhere that she can be comfortable, and Matt is so glad that they are currently holding each other close like this; because he knows that it makes Gabby happy, which is exactly what Matt wants. But at the same time, he wants to know what's going on with Gabby. "Gabby, can I ask you something?" Gabby agreed with Matt. "Yes."

Taking a breath, Matt just looked at his beautiful wife. "Do you really want to go for another baby in the future?"
