Hi Readers: Well, if things didn't get a bit heated at the end of the last chapter; what do you think of the latest turn that I took this story took, with regards to the communication problems that Jay and Alex have seemingly been having in their marriage? Do you like the idea that this is where I am taking the story? I would love to hear what you guys think, especially about this specific storyline. But I do want to say this. Based on the way that things went last chapter, I am thinking that I may be sticking with Jay and Alex for a bit; because I am not sure of just what they need to talk about yet, and that's due to the fact that I'm still just going with the flow as I write. Sure, I plan some things (like meals, etc.) But when it comes to things like this, I am just going with the flow. Chapter Two Hundred and Twenty-Six
Catching Up

That was exactly how Jay felt when it came to the topics that he and Alex were going to talk about today, because he knew that they were topics that Alex was very sensitive about; topics that Alex always told him that she wants to talk about, as soon as Jay needs to talk to her about something. And since the twins were born, Jay hasn't been doing that; and he knows now that it was the wrong move, but he thought that it was the right thing to do at the time. And that was what he was going to tell Alex to start this conversation, as he wanted to make sure that they spoke about that first; what was going on in his head when he made the decision to not talk about some things with Alex, and what led him to make those decisions. And Jay just hopes that Alex really does understand and can see his point of view on the matter; of course, that's yet to be determined, because they haven't started talking. But now that Jay was out of the washroom, still wearing his sweats; they could start talking to each other, as soon as they were in bed together.

And that was exactly where Jay was headed now that he was out of the washroom, until he saw Alex standing at the end of their bed in her lingerie; lingerie that was really sexy, and that he already knew she was wearing to tease him. Heck, they both knew that was the truth. And that was why Jay was currently on his way to the end of their bed, so that he can make sure that he gets a bit of attention from the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. Not that he wasn't going to get some attention while they're in bed with each other, because he already knows that Alex isn't going to be able to rest wanting to kiss him; she can never resist her urges to kiss him, after all. But right now, she was just looking so damn sexy; and he was so glad that he's her husband, because that means that he's the only man that gets to put his hands on this gorgeous body of hers. "Damn." Alex smiled as she heard Jay say that. "I can only assume that you like the fact that I'm just wearing this nice lingerie for you, ahead of us getting in bed?"

Jay agreed with Alex as she asked him whether he likes the lingerie that she was wearing, because he most certainly did; he'll always like the lingerie that she wears for him, because she's the sexiest woman in the entire world. That's just something that Alex already knocks, and she's more than happy to prove; just as soon as Jay makes his way over to her at the end of their bed, which is where she's currently standing for him. And now, that was exactly where Jay was, with his hands on her lips. Leaning in, Jay smirked as he proceeded to kiss the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world; and let's just say that was exactly what Alex wanted, as she loves to kiss her husband more than anything in the entire world. So, she decided to get close to him and wrap her arms around his neck; which most certainly is exactly what Jay wanted her to do, as it meant that he had a great chance to move his hands to her back and just hold her in his arms. And god is this the best feeling in the entire world. "God, you are so damn sexy." Alex agreed.

"I can only assume that you like the attention that you're getting from me right now, as I wear lingerie?" Jay agreed with Alex as she asked him whether he likes the fact that he's currently in the midst of getting from the woman he loves. "What do you think? I love the attention that we give each other when we're in bed, wearing our undergarments." Alex smirked as she heard Jay say that, before kissing him softly; after which, she whispered to him. "I have to say, I do really like it when you're just wearing your boxers." Jay smirked as he heard Alex say that, well aware that was the case. "Oh, I am well aware that's the case baby." Alex smirked as she heard Jay say that, before wrapping her arms around his neck nice and tight. Meanwhile, Jay bent down and proceeded to kiss her neck softly. And god, now that was a nice feeling. "God, now that's a nice feeling Jay." Jay agreed with Alex as she told him that, well aware that was the case. "I know that you love the feeling of my lips on your neck, and that's why I just put it on there right now."

Alex agreed with Jay as he said that, smirking because he is really sexy. "God, now if this isn't really sexy?" Jay smirked as he heard Alex say that, well aware of the fact that she likes it when they get nice and sexy with each other. "Well believe me, I think that you are way sexier than I am based on what you're wearing." Alex smiled as she heard Jay say that, before moving her hands to his face; after which, she leaned in and kissed him softly. "Such a charmer." Jay agreed with Alex as she told him that, well aware of the fact that he's a charmer. "Hey, you're the one that married a charmer." Alex agreed with Jay as he told her that, before running her finger down his cheekbone; after which, she leaned her forehead against his as they both held each other close. "God, I love you so much." Jay agreed with Alex as she told him that she loves him, as he's well aware of the fact that she loves him. "I love you too Alex, forever." Alex agreed with Jay as he said that, before moving to hug him again; at the same time, Jay decided to pick her up in his arms.

Smirking as she felt Jay pick her up in his arms, she watched as he moved his hands to her back and rubbed it. "Oh god, now I love it when you pick me up in your arms Jay." Jay agreed with Alex as she told him that she loves it when he picks her up in his arms, especially since he loves it too; especially when she's looking as sexy as she is right now, and when he gets to feel her body against his chest. "Well, you aren't the only one that feels that way; because I most definitely love it too, because of what I get to feel when you're right against my chest like this." Alex laughed as she heard Jay say that, well aware of what he was talking about. I mean, what wife doesn't know what her husband is talking about when he says that. "I know exactly what you're talking about, and I want you to know that I am not taking off my bra for you; you need to do that if you want it off." Jay smirked as he heard Alex say that, loving the idea of her being braless. So, he decided to go ahead and take off her bra for her, which is exactly what Alex wanted anyways.

Moving his hands up and down Alex's back as he carried her towards her side of the bed, Jay smirked as he proceeded to unclip her bra with the hopes of taking it off; but first, he needs to get her arms away from his neck. But right now, he doesn't want that; so he's just going to enjoy the feeling that comes with her body being against his chest, because it's really sexy. And he thinks that Alex already knows the fact that he thinks that it's sexy, because he knows she's smirking, which is actually the entire reason Jay just decided to turn his head and start sucking on her neck as a way to tease her, which is working as she just moaned for him. "Fuck Jay!" Smirking as he heard Jay say that, Jay was just happy over the fact that this is what they're in the midst of doing, because he knows that Alex loves this feeling more than anything in the entire world. "I can only imagine that you like this feeling baby?" Alex agreed with Jay as he asked her whether she enjoys the feeling that she's getting from him right now. "What do you think?"

Laughing a bit, Jay smiled as he continued to carry Alex to her side of the bed; that way, he can lay her down and just hold her close when they're in bed with each other. But first, he needs to make sure that she's comfortable; not that she could ever not be comfortable, because Alex is always comfortable in his arms. And that's actually why Jay just set her down on her side of the bed, but not in bed; because he wants to do something before he gets her in bed, and that would be give his beautiful wife a kiss. Something that Alex is just as interested in getting from the man she loves more than anything in the entire world. Moving her hands to his chest as soon as he stepped close to her, Alex smiled as she leaned in and kissed him softly. And boy, was that exactly what Jay wanted right now. He wanted to feel his beautiful wife kiss him, which was due to the fact that he loves her more than anything in the entire world. "I love you." Alex agreed with Jay as he told her that, smiling as she loves him too. "I love you too Jay, forever." Jay agreed with Alex.

"Listen, I think we both know that we can't just stay standing here; we both already agreed that we want to get in bed, and we want to talk? So how about we do that?" Alex agreed with Jay as he made that suggestion, before stepping close to him; after which, Jay moved his hand to her neck and proceeded to take things nice and slow with the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "I love you Alex." Alex agreed with Jay as he told her that he loves her, because she loves him too. "I love you too Jay, forever." Jay smirked as he heard Alex mention that she's going to love him forever, as he knows that's going to be the case; he can really see this being something that will last forever, because Alex is his forever. She's the only woman he can see himself being with, and that's why he needs to apologize to her. And that starts right now, as he grabbed her hands and intertwined their fingers. "And that's why I want to apologize baby. I'm sorry that I haven't been talking to you about it." Alex agreed with Jay as he said that, knowing he's sorry.

"I know you're sorry Jay, but that doesn't mean that it's an excuse for you to not speak to me. I'm your wife Jay, and I want to talk about this in bed; I want you to remember that we're a team when it comes to this, and that we're going to be there for each other." Jay agreed with Alex as she told him that, well aware that they were going to be there for each other; because that's something that they vowed too do for each other for the rest of their lives, as it was a big part of their wedding vows. "I know Alex, and we're going to talk about it just as soon as you're in bed." Alex agreed with Jay as he said that, ready to get in bed ahead of him; which is exactly what she did, as she turned around and then went to climb into their bed ahead of Jay. And boy did that turn Jay on, as he was glad that he got to watch his beautiful wife get in bed wearing nothing but her underwear at the moment. God, she is so damn sexy; and he loves her more than anything. And that's why he's beating himself up right now for what he did to her. She's his wife after all. He loves her.

Moving to get in bed with Alex as soon as she was comfortable, Jay smirked as he closed the covers on top of the both of them and just got nice and comfortable with her; at the same time, Alex got close to Jay too and slipped her legs in between his (while also moving her hand to his heart). And let's just say that Jay loved that feeling, as it was very comfortable. Him being able to hold Alex in his arms like this is something that he always loves to do, simply because he loves his wife more than anything in the entire world; but now, he needs her to be even closer to him. And that's why he just tugged her right against his chest (like she, frankly, wanted him to do anyways). And now that she was right against his chest, Alex smirked as she ran her finger down his body. "Now, that was a real turn on Mr. Halstead." Jay smirked as he heard Alex say that, before stroking her naked back with his thumb; after which, he leaned in and proceeded to kiss the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "Please, you're my wife Alex; you get to call me Jay, and nothing but Jay." Alex smirked, agreeing with Jay as she slipped her legs in between his. "Well, I love the sound of that."

Jay agreed with Alex, before leaning in and going ahead with kissing his beautiful wife softly; and god, did he love the feeling of Alex's soft lips on his…especially when she wraps her arms around his neck, and makes sure that their bodies can't move apart from one another; it's so damn sexy, and Jay loves it so much. "God, you are so damn sexy." Alex agreed with Jay as he told her that, just smiling at the man of her dreams. "Eh, you aren't so bad yourself." Jay snickered as he heard Alex say that, well aware that was the case. "God, you are such a tease; and I am just so glad that we're alone with each other, gives us time to just be husband and wife rather than mommy and daddy." Alex agreed with Jay as he said that, as she felt the same way; however, that didn't mean that she was ready to forget the fact that they were going to talk to each other about something. "Nice try in getting me to forget that we're going to talk." Jay shook his head as he heard Alex say that, as that was the last thing that he was trying to do. "I'm not trying to do that Alex." Looking at her man as she put her hand on his face, Alex didn't believe him; until she just saw this look in his eyes, and she felt it.

There's just something about the way Jay was looking at her in this very moment that made her believe him, and she was glad that was the case; as it made her comfortable to get really close to him and start kissing him softly. Taking things nice and slow with the man she loves, Alex smirked due to the fact that she really loves him. "I love you too Jay, and I know that you want to be open and honest with me. And I promise to do the same because I am ready to talk." Jay agreed with Alex as she said that, before smiling at her. "So listen, I am just going to dive right now; the faster we get started, the faster…." Leaning in, Alex interrupted him with a kiss. After all, she wants to let him know that she understands. "Jay, I understand." Jay agreed with Alex as she said that, before getting close to her and wrapping his arms around her waist nice and tight; and let's just say that Alex really loves that feeling, because it's really sexy. Her body against his muscular chest, there's nothing like it. And they'll never be anything like this amazing feeling she's blessed to have. "God, you are so damn sexy." Jay agreed with Alex as she said that, before moving to kiss her softly. "I love you."

Alex agreed with Jay as he told her that, before rubbing his chest. "Listen, no more distractions; it's time for us to start talking about this, because this is a big deal Jay. I want to make sure that we always talk about this, and I want to hear why you didn't talk to me about it." Jay sighed as he looked at Alex as she asked him that, before staring into her eyes. "I think it was mostly due to the fact that I was concerned about you, and I just wanted to make sure that you were okay." Moving her hand to Jay's neck, Alex stared into his eyes. "Alex, you were already dealing with enough; and I just…I thought that I would get past it, now that the kids are home. But…" Taking a breath, Jay looked at the woman he loves. "Alex, I know you experienced it the same as me. I know that you had to deal with it too, and that you had to go through the same emotions; not knowing whether the kids are going to be okay, being in the hospital." Alex agreed with Jay as he said that, before just listening to him. "But Alex, I had to go through so much more. And I know that doesn't make sense but…I'm still dealing with it." Alex agreed with Jay, clearly able to see that he was struggling a bit.

"Alex, there are things that you don't know happened; things that still scar me to this day, because I don't want you to be scared." Alex agreed with Jay, deciding to just listen. "But now, you deserve to know. And Alex, the truth is that you had a mini stroke in the middle of giving birth." Looking at Jay as he told her that, Alex just took a breath as she looked down. "Alex, I know that I should've told you sooner. But I've just been nervous, and I didn't know what you were ready to hear; I thought about telling you so many times, but I wanted to wait a bit, because they said you were okay. I know it was wrong but…" Moving her hands to Jay's face, Alex cuddled up to her husband and then leaned in to kiss him softly; at the same time, Jay wrapped his arms around her as they kissed each other slowly. "Jay, breathe. It's okay." Jay agreed. "Alex, I just didn't want you to be overwhelmed. I didn't want you to worry more than you should, because I knew that was going to stress you out, and you already had so much when it comes to recovering; and they said it was nothing, and that you were okay. So, I thought…" Alex just agreed with Jay, kissing him again as she proceeded to hug him.

At the same time, Jay moved his hand to Alex's back and just rubbed it as they both held each other close; after all, that's what they need to do right now. They need to hold each other close, and they need to make sure that they both relax. Turning his head as they do just that, Jay took a breath as he turned his head and then bent down so that he could kiss her neck softly. Just holding her close, Jay sighed as he turned his head and look down at his beautiful wife; meanwhile, Alex put her hand on the side of Jay's face. "Can you forgive me?" Alex agreed with Jay as he asked her whether she can forgive him because she can. She then leaned in and proceeded to take things nice and slow with the man she loves more than anything in the entire world. "That's another reason I asked your dad to stay away." Alex agreed. "And you did everything right. I promise Jay." Jay agreed with Alex as she said that, before leaning her forehead against hers. "Alex, do you understand why I'm not ready to think about another baby yet now?"

Just then, Alex finally put everything together. "Oh my god Jay, of course I do. I understand completely why you aren't ready to think about it, because of everything that happened." Jay agreed as he held his beautiful wife close to him again. "Alex, I was scared that I was going to loose you; that's why I can't think about another baby yet, and I Just need to concentrate on the life we have." Alex agreed with Jay as he told her that, well aware that was the case. She then put her hand on his cheek and proceeded to kiss him softly. "Jay, I understand. You don't need to explain anymore because I want you to breathe and relax. We can take it easy, and we can make sure that we're both okay." Jay agreed with Alex as she told him that, glad that was the case. "Good, because that's exactly what I want to do. I just want to hold you close to me, and I want to concentrate on the twins right now." Alex smiled as she heard Jay say that, really liking the sound of that. "I love the sound of that." Jay agreed with Alex, before going to kiss her again.

Bending down, Jay smirked as he felt Alex move her hands to the sides of his face and just take things nice and slow with her; after which, he decided to grab the covers and tug them up on top of the both of them. "Want some?" Alex smirked as Jay asked her whether she wanted him, as she most definitely did want him; she wanted him to make love to her, and just take things nice and slow with her. "Yes, I want to feel you take things nice and slow with me Jay." Smirking, Jay agreed with his gorgeous wife as he wants that too. Just moving on top of her (like she wants), Jay smirked as he wrapped his arms around Alex and moved his hand to her side; after which, he wrapped his arms around her back and moved his hands up her back. At the same time, Alex wrapped her arms around Jay's neck as they took things nice and slow with each other, which is exactly what she wants to do whenever she gets a chance to do it. She wants to take things nice and slow with the man of her dreams, Jay Halstead, her loving husband, and the most amazing father.

Moving his hand to Alex's neck, Jay then bent down to kiss her neck as he gave her exactly what they both wanted right now; they both wanted to have intimate time with each other, as they just take some time alone without the kids. "Just take things nice and slow with me Jay, don't rush it; we have all the time in the world, because we don't have the kids." Jay agreed with Alex as she told him that, as that most certainly was the case. "Oh, I am well aware of the fact that we don't have the kids; and I am so glad that I have you alone right now." Alex smirked as she heard Jay say that, as she felt the same way. I mean, what wife doesn't want this right now; especially when her husband is so damn good at pleasing her, which she showed him by moaning. "Oh Jay!" Smirking as he heard Alex moan for him, Jay just continued to give her exactly what she wants. What she needs form him, and that would be pleasure. And god, does he plan on giving his wife some pleasure; for as long as she wants him to give her some pleasure, today and forever.

"God, I love you so much Jay." Jay agreed with Alex as she told him that, before turning her head and bending down so that he could kiss her softly. Just taking things nice and slow with the most beautiful woman in the entire world, Jay smirked due to the fact that this really is exactly what they both want right now. They want to hold each other close, and they want to make sure that they're happy. "I love you too Alex, forever." Alex agreed with Jay as he said that, just taking things nice and slow with her amazing husband as they give each other a bunch of amazing pleasure (which is exactly what Alex wants anyways). She wants to have her man give her this pleasure, and she wants to feel him do this with her; especially since he is so damn muscular, and he does that just for her. God, the way that his arms feel around her is just incredible, and she knows that he works out just for her sometimes; and especially for times like these, where he's giving her some great attention and pleasure. It's just so hot, and she knows that he wants her bad.

She can feel it, she can feel the way he wants to touch her; the way he wants to make love to her, and the way they both want to be with each other right now. Because that's something that they both want more than anything. And god, Alex is just so glad that she has a husband like Jay; because he knows exactly what she wants, exactly when she wants it. Jay smirked as he heard Alex say that, before turning his head and crashing his lips against hers; at the same time, he moved both of his hands to her neck so that they can take things nice and slow with each other. Because that's exactly what Alex wants right now, to take things nice and slow with her loving husband, whom she loves and adores more than anything in the entire world. "God, so damn sexy Jay." Jay agreed with Alex as she told him that, well aware that she was really enjoying this. And that's why he's in the midst of doing this right now. Because he wants to please his wife, and just give her exactly what she wants for the rest of their lives; which is what she deserves as his wife.
