Hi Readers: What did you guys think of last chapter? I would love to know what you guys thought of it, and how the PTSD was portrayed. I would love to hear back from you on how I portray that. But for now, here's another chapter.
Chapter Two Hundred and Twenty-Eight
Cozy Cuddles and Conversations
While he and Gabby didn't go as far as he thought they would, Matt did end up getting a nice hour-long kiss from the woman he loves; and that was something that he was more than okay with, because now he was just cuddling up to his girl as she took a nap. And god, she still looks so damn adorable as she naps. The way she just lays down in bed, she just looks so peaceful. So much so, that Matt doesn't even want to wake her up. Rather, he just wants to concentrate on her sleeping; even though he does want to talk to her about something, because he has something on his mind. More specifically, he has something on his mind that they need to talk about together. But if Gabby needs to sleep right now, then he's more than okay with letting her sleep; because that just means that he can think about what he needs to talk to her about more. And he can think about some things, and just figure a few things out on his own. And just what might that be? Well, it's something that he's thought about of late; but he's just tried to figure out on his own.
But he knows that he can't always think about this on his own, because he's going to need to get Gabby's input on them; she's their mother, and that means that they need to make decisions together. It's what they promised each other after all, that they would make decisions about their kids together; and this is one of them that he wants to make with Gabby, because he wants her input. He wants to know what she thinks, and he wants to bounce ideas off of. He just wished that she didn't think that he was a creep, because that's just what she called him. "It's creepy when you stare at me like that baby." Snickering as he heard Gabby say that, Matt smiled as he moved his hand to her side and stroked it with her thumb; after all, she was still right against him. And that was something that he liked, because it gave him a chance to really admire her beauty as they held each other close. "Sorry, I was just looking at my gorgeous wife; and admiring how beautiful she is, especially when she's pregnant with our daughters." Looking up at her man, Gabby smiled.
However, he also felt like he was flirting with her for a reason; a reason that she was going to shut down, because he already got all that he was going to get for a while. She isn't giving him any more sex for a while because she likes the idea of resting for now, which is exactly what she was doing, resting. She didn't fall asleep; she just had her eyes closed. "I can only assume that you weren't really asleep? And you were really just resting your eyes?" Looking up at Matt as he told her that, Gabby was shocked as she didn't expect him to realize that. "How did you know…" Matt smirked. "You were moving more than you normally do when you're sleeping, and you still rubbed my chest." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, before moving close to him; after which, she wrapped her arms around his neck and smiled at her dreamy husband. After all, he is the love of her life; and she's so glad that this is what they're doing right now. They're holding each other close, shortly after having made love to each other. "I have to say, you were really good in bed."
Matt laughed as he heard Gabby say that, as he felt the same way. "I have to say that I feel the exact same way, because you were delicious baby." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, smiling at the man she loves before moving to get closer to him; after all, she does want to cuddle up to him as much as she can (as they hold each other close). And that was due to the fact that she wants to feel him move his hand to her stomach. And that's exactly what Matt ended up doing, as they both held each other close. "So, what are you thinking about right now? Because if you weren't asleep, then you must've been thinking about something." Taking a breath as she heard Matt say that, Gabby agreed with Matt as she decided to just get close to him; after which, she cuddled up to him and slipped her legs in between his. After which, Matt wrapped his arm around her back and went ahead and decided to ask Gabby if they can talk; more specifically, about the thing that he was thinking about. "Listen, can we talk about something?" Gabby agreed.
"Baby, like you always tell me; we can always talk about anything that you need to talk to me about, because I love you. And I want you to talk to me if you ever have something on your mind. What's wrong Matt?" Taking a breath as he looked into Gabby's eyes, Matt then proceeded to kiss her so that he can just work up the nerve to talk to Gabby. But the truth is, he doesn't need to do that; he's already more than confident that he has the words to say what he needs to say to Gabby, so he just decided to do just that. He decided to speak to the woman he loves and tell her exactly what's on his mind right now. "So, listen, there's something that's on my mind." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, having thought that was the case. "I had a feeling that was the case. And what might that be?" Taking a breath, Matt looked into her eyes. "It's about the kids." Gabby agreed with Matt, while also getting a bit worried. "Do you think something's wrong?" Matt just looked at Gabby, hating that he got her worried. "God, no Gabby!"
Taking a breath as she heard Matt say that, Gabby felt relieved that the kids were okay; because the last thing that she wanted, was for the kids to not be okay. Anyways, she shouldn't have guessed that, because she didn't hear either of their phones ring; and if the boys weren't okay, then Matt would've woken her up and told her right away. "Sorry I thought that way, I should've trusted that you would've woken me up the moment you got that call." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, as that's exactly what he would've done. "Gabby, of course I would've told you if we needed to get up." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. "Sorry, I should've known that." Matt agreed with Gabby, and just smiled at the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. After which, he leaned in so that he could kiss her softly and take things nice and slow with the woman he loves. "I love you." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that. "I love you too." Matt smiled as he heard that. "So, about the kids."
Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before going ahead with moving his hand to hers. "It's something that I've been thinking about recently, and it's something that we need to talk about." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before smiling at him due to the fact that he already told her that. "Baby, you already told me that. Just take a breath and relax for me." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before smiling at her. "It's uhm…it's about the kids, and my PTSD." Gabby then realized where this conversation was going. "Let me guess, you're worried about how we're going to talk to them about it?" Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before going to grab her hand. "I mean, Andy; we can just explain by saying he's our dog, but he needs to stay with daddy. If that makes sense, or we can figure that out. But how to we explain it when it comes to the PTSD?" Gabby took a breath. "Are you thinking about how we need to prepare them for what might happen?" Matt sighed as he looked at the woman he loves.
As soon as Gabby asked Matt whether he was referring to them having to prepare them for what might happen, should he ever have a PTSD event, he took a breath and just sighed; after all, that was exactly what he was thinking about. He was thinking about what they need to tell them, and what they need to explain to them. What they need to tell their children about PTSD, and what they need to tell them about how it works. However, he also realized something at the same time; about how he wants to have this conversation, as he and Gabby hold each other close. And that realization was that he didn't want to have this conversation while they were just wearing their undergarments, he wanted to have a bit more clothes on; because he also thought that it was time for them to relax, especially when this is a serious topic. "Listen, I think I want to put some sweats on to talk about this." Gabby was a bit confused as she heard Matt say that. "Why Matt?" Matt sighed. "Because I think this might be a long conversation, and I think I'm done for today."
Gabby smiled, agreeing with Matt. "You mean, you don't want to take the risk of having sex today?" Matt agreed with Gabby as she asked him that, before leaning in so that he can kiss her softly. "Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. So, I'm going to put on some sweats if that's okay?" Gabby agreed with Matt as he asked her whether she was okay with him going to put some sweats on, because she was more than okay with that. "Of course, I'm okay with that baby, go ahead and put some sweats on." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that. After which, he leaned in and kissed the woman he loves. "Can you get me some sweats?" Matt agreed with Gabby as she asked him that, before kissing her again; after which, he smiled as he went to get up out of bed. That way, he could go get some sweats. Grabbing his boxers as soon as he was standing up, he went ahead and adjusted them; after all, he didn't want to tease Gabby. But in the end, that did end up teasing Gabby. "Such a tease." Turning to face his beautiful wife, Matt smiled at his girl.
"I can say the same about you my beautiful wife." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware of the fact that he loves it when she's just wearing what she's wearing right now. She then smirked as she watched him walk over to his dresser in his boxers, that way he can get them some sweats that they were going to wear in bed. "I have to say, I really do enjoy it when you walk around in boxers." Turning his head to look over his shoulder, Matt smirked as he knew that was the case. "Oh, I am well aware of the fact that you love it when I just wear my boxers; and while I'm wearing my boxers, as I walk around in them." Gabby snickered as she heard Matt say that, before watching as he went to grab some sweats for her; after which, he went ahead and threw them at her on their bed. "Hey, watch where you throw things!" Looking at his wife as she said that, Matt went to grab some of his pants. "Oh, calm down Gabby, we both know that I barely hit you!" Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, well aware that was the case.
Getting up out of bed, Gabby smiled as she went ahead and grabbed the sweats that Matt just threw towards her; that way, she could get dressed. Meanwhile, Matt turned around as soon as he got his own pair of sweats out; bending down, Matt went to start putting his pants on (while also watching Gabby do the same thing). And he had to say, he loves the sight of them doing things together. "You going to wear socks? Or not?" Matt agreed with Gabby as she asked him whether he was going to wear socks. "I like bringing a bit of Chicago to Hawaii." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that. "When we're done this conversation, that's something that I want to talk about sometime too." Looking at Gabby as he finished getting dressed, Matt made his way back over to his dresser and then proceeded to grab some deodorant. Starting to put some on under his shirt, Matt went to ask Gabby what she meant. "What are you talking about Gabby?" Gabby smiled as she heard Matt ask what she was talking about. "We have to take the kids to Chicago someday."
He had the biggest smile on his face as he sat in bed with Gabby this afternoon, the two of them cuddling up to each other in bed as they got ready to talk (while holding each other in bed). And while Matt most definitely does want to talk to Gabby about taking the kids to Chicago someday, that doesn't mean that he's ready to jump right to that topic; after all, they have one that's a bit more on the top of his mind that he wants to talk about first. And that would be the conversation that they were going to have to have with the kids in the future about his PTSD; and since that was on his mind right now, he would really like to talk about it. But first, he just wanted to make sure that his beautiful wife was comfortable as she slipped her legs in between his and wrapped her arms around his torso. Moving his hand to her back, Matt smirked as he stroked it with his back and then tugged the covers up a bit more. "So, where do we want to star this conversation?" Looking down at Gabby as he slipped down in bed with her, he took a breath.
"I think we need to do it in order. We need to start with the PTSD, and then we need to keep going with the other topics afterwards. And if there are any topics that come up in between, then we can talk about them." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, as she liked that idea. "I like that idea because that's always the best way for us to talk about things. For it to happen naturally, and just when it comes into our heads. That way, we get the real, raw version of our thoughts." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, as that was exactly what he wants anyways; and he was going to tell her that, as he turned his head and kissed her forehead softly. "Which is exactly what we want anyways, the honest truth, which can only be told by us being vulnerable with each other and telling each other exactly what we think about certain topics." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that because she knew that was the case. And the truth was, there was no better way for them to do it. "So, where are we starting?" Matt sighed. "The PTSD stuff first."
Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before taking a breath as she looked up at the man she loves; after all, she could hear the worry in his voice. "You're worried about something, aren't you?" Taking a breath, Matt agreed with Gabby; after all, he was still worried about something. Why wouldn't he worry about things? He's a husband and father, and he worries all the time for those simple reasons. But there are other things that Matt's worried about, related to his PTSD. He just hasn't wanted to talk about it yet; because then, it might make the fears real. "I guess, I have just been trying to push this conversation further down the road; as I don't want to face my fears." Looking up at Matt as he said that, Gabby was confused as to just what he means by that. "What do you mean baby? Please, talk to me and just let me know what's going on. I'm here to talk to you Matt, and I want to make sure that you know that I'm here for you." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that because he knows that she's here. "I know that baby, I promise."
Gabby then decided to grab Matt's hand, as she really wants him to talk to her; intertwining their fingers afterwards, Gabby took a breath as she looked up into his eyes. "Baby, I'm your wife. And I love you more than anything in the entire world, which means that I'm here to support you. And if you need me to do anything to support you, then I'm right here; and that most certainly does include listening, because I want to know that you can always talk to me. So please, talk to me Matt; and open up to me about what's going on in your head, don't suffer alone when I want to help you." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before sighing. "That brings up another topic that we need to talk about." Looking up at Matt, Gabby was confused as she didn't know what he was talking about. "What are you talking about baby?" Matt sighed as he looked down at Gabby as she asked him that, before bending down so that he can kiss her softly. Taking things slow with her, he smiled. "I'm thinking about when I was still hiding my PTSD from you."
Rubbing Gabby's back shortly after admitting that he was still thinking about when he was hiding his PTSD from her, Matt took a breath as he looked down into Gabby's eyes; the eyes that he loved to look into more than anything in the entire world, as it often led to the two of them sharing a sweet kiss with each other. And frankly, Gabby felt the same way about looking into Matt's eyes; especially since it always made her smile as she stared into those gorgeous eyes, even if he didn't kiss her on the lips. But as Gabby looked into Matt's eyes today, she could tell that something was different; as there was something else other than joy that she saw in his eyes, and that was the guilt that he was feeling. The guilt that was related to the fact that he hid the fact that he has PTSD from her (at the begging); especially due to the fact that he now knows just how much help she's been in this journey, and how much help she could've been to him had she been there for him from the start. They would've gone through it all together, from the start.
They would've made a bunch of decisions related to his PTSD together, some of which would still be affecting them to this day; but Gabby was okay with it, because she also knows that Matt didn't mean to hide the fact that he has PTSD. And that's because of the mentality that he still has to this day, even though he's no longer a firefighter. And that would be the hard choice it is to admit that you have PTSD, because of the consequences of coming out and saying that you have PTSD; as disclosing that you have PTSD, is effectively something that ends your career. If you've been diagnosed with PTSD, the CFD is less likely to put you in fires anymore; and had he revealed it while he was still working at the CFD, he would've been stuck behind a desk. (Which is ironic, as that's where he finds himself now. Stuck behind a desk, as he works as the CEO of Casey.) But at least now they're coming clean and talking to each other about it. Because that's what Matt needs to do with her, he needs to be open and honest with her as they talk about this.
"Matt, I hate to even think this way; but do you think that you were just denying the fact that you had PTSD, for the sake of your career?" Looking down at Gabby when she asked him whether he might have been denying the fact that he had PTSD for his career, Matt took a breath as he knew that really was something that they had to consider. And as much as he doesn't want to think that he would do something, he does know that he needs to think about it. "I know we both hate looking back baby, but I think we really need to talk about this; this is something that we should've spoken about a lot sooner, and I can't help but wonder…" Taking a breath, Gabby sighed. "Whether it affected our marriage, and led to those problems that we had before I went to go to Puerto Rico. I mean, we both know what some parts of PTSD include now. We've both done the reading, and we both know that the feelings of anger are much more intense when you have PTSD." Taking a breath, Gabby thought back to the time where they had that fight.
But before Gabby could say anything about it, Matt decided to chyme in. "Okay, before you say anything else…I need to say this Gabby." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before looking up at the man of her dreams. "I need to make something clear. Yes, PTSD does make your anger come out worse; and there are times where I might not say the right things when I'm mad, and I might just say things wrong. But that's no excuse for what I did to you in May 2018 Gabby. No, I didn't know that I had PTSD at the time; and I didn't know what I was dealing with, even though I had a feeling about it. But no matter what, I refuse to let you just put those horrible words behind us; and just say, oh it's the past…simply because I have PTSD. I regret those words every single day, and you are never to absolve me of that regret just because I have PTSD." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case; nor does she think that she could really ever forget what he said, as they were quite hurtful.
"Yes, maybe I wouldn't have yelled them. Or maybe we would've spoken about it in a more mature way. I'll give you that. But I am not just going to sweep what I said under the rug, because the way I spoke to you was unacceptable; and that's not how a husband speaks to his wife. Can we both agree on that?" Slipping up Matt's chest, Gabby agreed with him before moving to wrap her arms around his neck. She then bent down and kissed him softly. "Baby, of course I can agree to that; I mean, what wife doesn't want to agree to that." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before smiling as they both held each other close. "God, I am so glad that we can agree about that without any issues." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, because she can most definitely agree with Matt about that. "Oh, you weren't going to get away with what you said to me under any circumstances." Matt agreed with Gabby, smiling at his girl. After which, he felt her cuddle up to him once again as they both held each other close in their bed; and god, was this comfortable.
Running his hand up and down Gabby's back as they continued to hold each other close, Matt smiled due to the fact that he was just glad to be holding the woman of his dreams in his arms; as he loves her more than anything in the entire world, and he's just glad that they're all cuddled up to each other right now. He wants to hold his beautiful wife close to him, and he wants to make sure that they both just take it easy with each other; and right now, that's exactly what they're in the midst of doing (thankfully). Gabby still does need to relax for the sake of their daughters after all, and that's something that Matt is going to ensure that she does for the rest of the pregnancy. But right now, they aren't concentrating on Gabby; rather, they're concentrating on this nice conversation that they're in the midst of having with each other. A conversation which is related to the topic at hand. His PTSD, and just some of the things that they need to talk about. "Okay, now where were we in the conversation?" Matt snickered as Gabby asked him said question.
"I think that right now, we just need to take it easy and relax. But we can go back to things we need to talk about my PTSD and stuff." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware of the fact that the conversation that they were having about his PTSD isn't done; and that's why she wants to continue said conversation. "No, that conversation isn't done; and I agree that we need to continue it, and just make sure that we cover all of our bases." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, especially as he felt the same way. "Now, I do want to say this. You telling me that you were in denial and didn't want to see it; I really don't like that idea, because it couldn't mean that you did stupid stuff…" Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before kissing the top of her head. "Yeah, like saying goodbye to the love of my life in that fire." Looking up at Matt, Gabby agreed with him as that most definitely was one of the stupider things that he did. "Oh, I have to admit that was really stupid." Matt agreed with Gabby as he bent down and kissed her softly. "I love you."
Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before feeling him kiss her forehead softly. "Still, I know why you did it; we already spoke about that on the trip, and we agreed that it was the right move." Matt agreed with Gabby as she told him that, well aware of the fact that they spoke about it on the trip. "Yeah, that doesn't mean that it was right. But we both know that you would've killed me if I didn't say goodbye." Gabby laughed, agreeing with Matt as he said that; after which, she just cuddled up to him some more as they were both extremely comfortable with each other. "Do you ever think of that day? Or how much do you have that PTSD dream?" Taking a breath, Matt looked down at Gabby as she asked him how often he has that dream. "Not as much now, because I have a lot more in my mind. The kids coming early is still something that was on my mind, but they seem to be okay now; and that's all that matters at the end of the day." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, as that most definitely was the truth. "Definitely."
Smiling as he continued to hold Gabby close to him, he smiled as he felt Gabby stroke his chest (before kissing it). "Can I ask you a real question though baby? Something that I can't help but wonder if you think about?" Looking down at Gabby, Matt agreed with her. "Yeah, what is it?" Gabby sighed as she looked up at Matt. "Do you ever worry that the girls are going to come early, just like the boys?" Taking a breath as Gabby asked him if that was something that he worried about, Matt proceeded to kiss her forehead before looking down into her eyes. "I would be lying if I said that it wasn't something that was on my mind, because I do worry about it sometimes; because that's one of the complications that can happen, and I am not going to say that I'm not mentally preparing for it." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that. "I understand why you'd do that." Matt agreed with Gabby as she told him that, before bending down so that he could kiss her softly. "What are you thinking about it? Are you ready for that possibility?"
Taking a breath as Matt asked her whether she ready for the possibility of having to do another (early) pre-term delivery, Gabby just tried to think about it. She's just glad that she was doing it with Matt by her side because this was a hard topic to think about; but that didn't mean that she didn't know that she had to think about it. She obviously has to think about it because it's a real possibility. The possibility of the two of them to deal with another pre-term birth is the truth, and not just because due to the fact that they're having another set of twins. She already knew that she was going to have to give birth earlier than normal, because they're having twin girls. But with them getting pregnant back-to-back, that increases the odds so much more; and she wasn't going to lie when she said that it scared her, and it really makes her wonder whether they did the right thing. Whether this was right to do so soon. But then again, she knew that this was going to be something that they would have to deal with; as they knew it would happen someday, she knew it.
I mean, they're always all over each other; and they pretty much get pregnant quite easily, which is exactly what happened with the girls. But now, the idea of them having to do the same thing that they had to do for the boys; but this time, it would be for their girls. Well, that was scaring her a bit; and Matt could tell that was the case, which was the reason why he actually brought it up now. He brought it up now, as they were all cuddled up to each other in bed; and just holding each other close, where they can talk to each other. But at the same time, Matt can't help but wonder whether he screwed up; and whether he should've have brought up this conversation yet whatsoever. "I think I might have jumped the gun when it came to me asking you to talk about this." Gabby shook her head as Matt mentioned that it might have been a bit too premature for him to ask her this question, because it wasn't as she needs to think about it, and she needs to be mentally prepared for it to happen. "No, you didn't baby. I promise." Looking down, Matt sighed.
"You sure?" Gabby nodded as she turned her head and looked up at the man she loves more than anything in the entire world. "Baby, you made the right decision. We need to talk about this, because we need to be ready for this possibility, the possibility of another early delivery, with our girls. And that just increases because I was supposed to have triplets, which makes me wonder whether we really need to give birth on the triplet timeline." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, as that most definitely may be the truth; she may, in fact, have to give birth on that timeline (rather than the twin timeline). "Yeah, I guess we need to talk to our doctor about that; whether we need to give birth at 35-36 weeks or 32-33 weeks like last time." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before laying her head down on his chest again; after which, she started to listened to his heart. "At least we have experience about it." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before moving his hand to her back and moving to stroke it with his thumb.
"Not that I want you to have this experience, because this is not a good experience to have." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, as she feels the same way; especially when it comes to Matt, as she wants Matt to have the best possible experience of fatherhood. And she most definitely does know that this is not the best part, because she has to give birth prematurely again. "Listen, we can't really think about it again; we need to just take it easy and know that we're going to be okay at the end of the day. I'm going to be okay because I have you here with me." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, smiling as that was something that he really liked the idea of. The fact that he was going to be here with her every step of the way, because that's already something that she can count on; that he's going to be there every step of the way, and he's going to be there in the hospital while she recovers from giving birth to the girls. "And I'm going to be there the entire time that you're in the hospital recovering from giving birth." Gabby agreed with Matt.
"Well, I would hope you would be. I mean, they are your girls." Matt smiled as he ran his hand up and down her back, while also kissing Gabby's forehead; after which, he looked down at her and bent down so that he could kiss her softly. And let's just say that was exactly what Gabby wanted him to do right now. She wanted to feel the man she loves kiss her, as they hold each other close. "God, I love you so much; and I am so glad that you just kissed me. Because it's the best feeling in the entire world. "God, I love kissing you so much." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, feeling the same way. "And I know why that's the case, because you love me." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that because that will always be the case. "I mean, what man doesn't love his wife; and also loves getting sexy kisses from the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world?" Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that, before running her hand down his chest as they continue to cuddle up to each other in bed. "God, I am so glad we're alone today."
Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, as he (obviously) felt the same way; he loves to get alone time with Gabby, because he loves her so much. As much as he loves the boys, this is exactly where he wants to be; heck, he's even okay when it comes to what they're watching on TV. The movies are actually growing on him, and he's glad that he's watching them with Gabby. "However, I can also tell that you need to take a nap. I can see that you're getting tired." Gabby shook her head. "Not yet, I just want to be with you right now." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before kissing her forehead softly as they continued to take it easy and just hold each other in bed. "So, what do we need to talk about now?" Looking down at Gabby, Matt smirked as he was extremely happy to just be holding her. "I don't think there's anything else, is there?" Gabby smiled. "Oh, Chicago. Didn't we say that we were going to talk about that?" Matt then realized that was right, smiling at his girl. "Right, we need to talk about our first trip as a family to Chicago."
Now that they were done (briefly) talking about the fact that she may have to give birth prematurely, Gabby felt like she could finally breathe as it was now allowing her to breathe some more; but at the same time, it also made her think about the next topic that they need to talk about. And that would be related to them bringing their family to Chicago someday, and whether it's going to be a trip with business; or if they're going to do it apart from business, as a leisure trip. "I guess the first question I have, is whether it's going to be a business trip; or if we're going to do it independently of a business trip, or what are you thinking?" Looking down at Gabby as she asked him that, Matt smiled as he was glad that this is how they were starting this conversation; after all, he loves joking with her. And he's also very comfortable. But at the same time, he also knows that they need to just joke and take it easy right now. They need to relax, as they hold each other close in their bed. "Okay, let me just say this. When we travel with family, business always comes last."
Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, grabbing his hand before intertwining their fingers. "I agree with you when you say that, as that's something that we can both agree about. When we're out and about as a family, we're always doing stuff as a family first. We aren't a business power couple." Matt smirked as he heard Gabby say that, really liking the idea of them being a business power couple. "I have to say though, I do love the sound of that; a business power couple." Gabby smirked as she looked up at the man she loves, before feeling him move his hand to her neck; after which, she leaned up and started to take things nice and slow with her handsome husband. And god, does she love the feeling of his soft lips on hers. "God, I love you so much." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, continuing to kiss her softly (as it's what they both want to do right now). They want to take things nice and slow with each other, as they also have a bit of fun with each other; but not fun related to them being naked in bed, as they need to relax.
That's something that's already been made clear to the both of them, and they are going to just relax for the entire day; Gabby's going to lay down in his arms, and they're going to relax together this afternoon. "By the way, we can always order in for supper if that's what you want to do." Gabby agreed with Matt as she grabbed his hand from her neck, stroking it with her thumb as she moved it close to her; after which, she intertwined their fingers as she laid her head down on his chest again. However, their hands didn't say intertwined for a while; and that was due to the fact that Matt would rather have his arms around her, and just be holding her in his arms right now. And if that's what he wanted to do, then Gabby was okay with that; because she was very comfortable in his arms and will always be very comfortable in his arms. "I guess there's just one thing I'm worried about when it comes to going to Chicago." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before looking down at her. "And what's that baby? Talk to me." Taking a breath, Gabby sighed.
"It's about some people we don't want to have around the kids, and how we can't control that in Chicago." Matt then realized just who she was talking about, and took a breath due to the fact that it was something that she had to worry about; or at least, she thought that she had to worry about. "Well, not exactly. Not when I have a restraining order against her, and I have instructed security to keep her away." Gabby looked up at Matt as he said that. "You did?" Matt agreed with Gabby as she asked him whether he instructed security to keep Sylvie away from them. "Baby, of course I did. She hurt us in more ways than one. There's no way in hell that I'm ever going to let her anywhere near our family. That's always going to be the case, and I'm always going to protect you. I promise." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, before leaning up and kissing him again. "I have such a great husband." Matt smirked as he kissed Gabby softly. "And I have the most beautiful wife in the entire world, whom I love and will always protect until the day I die."
Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, just smiling as she loves the sound of that; even though she shouldn't, because she doesn't want to think about Matt dying. She loves him too much for her to be thinking of him dying, as it would mean that she's going to have to raise the kids alone; and that's the last thing that she wants to do, as she wants to raise the kids with him by her side for the rest of her life. "I hope you don't mean that you're going to die anytime soon." Matt shook his head as he heard Gabby say that, before moving to kiss her forehead softly. "No, I'm not going to die anytime soon baby, I promise." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, glad that was the case. "Good, because I want the girls to know just how amazing their daddy is." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that, before running his hand up and down her back; after which, he kissed her forehead while they held each other close in bed. "God, I am so glad that we decided to come up here to bed instead of us staying downstairs. Much more comfortable."
Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, as that most definitely was the truth. "Tell me about it." Matt snickered as he heard Gabby say that, well aware of the fact that she's much more comfortable here in bed. "I know that you're always going to be much more comfortable here in bed, and I'm always up for us cuddling up to each other up here." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, glad that was the case. "Good, because I love the sound of that." Matt agreed with Gabby as she told him that, before moving to kiss her forehead once again. "God, you are so beautiful; and I am so glad that this is what we're in the midst of doing, just holding each other close as we relax in bed today." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before turning her head and bending down to kiss his chest. "However, I am starting to regret asking you to get dressed." Matt snickered as he heard Gabby say that. "I thought you said it hurt?"
Looking up at her husband. "I'm hormonal, are you going to judge me?" Matt smirked as he looked at her, before shaking his head. "Not a chance. But if you want it, then I promise to be gentle; and I'm going to do it in a very romantic fashion." Gabby smirked as she heard Matt say that, before running her hand up his shirt (while also kissing him softly). "Can't wait." Matt smirked as he heard Gabby say that. "Let me get you undressed next to our bed." Gabby smirked as she heard Matt say that, moving out of his arms; after which, she watched as Matt got up so that they could start having fun with each other.
