Hi Readers: And welcome to another day of chapters. Before we begin, I want to address the fact that there was previously another story that I had posted on here with Matt being married to somebody other than Gabby after Hallie died. However, I have decided that I don't want to write that story after all. And that's due to the fact that even when I am writing that story, I am still thinking about this story. And since that's the case, it didn't feel right to keep writing the other story; when my mind is elsewhere, and in this story. So, I am just going to do what I do best and concentrate on this story. Hope you guys continue to enjoy the story and understand.

Chapter Two Hundred and Fifty-Six
Hospital Day 3: Breakfast

She was startled when she heard someone other than her sister-in-law answer her question, about what she meant when she said that they were just going to do Christmas with the seven of them; the seven of them being the part that confused her, as there are more than seven people in their family. In fact, there are fourteen people in the family; because now that they all basically live together, both the Casey and Dawson families basically consider themselves related. And even though it's only thanks to Matt and Gabby being married, they still treat each other like siblings; well, with the exception of her and Antonio. She doesn't get why, but she can't help but wonder if there's something there in between the both of them; something that she may want to pursue, if it wasn't for Matt. She just doesn't think that she can do it right now, not when things are just so stressful right now; especially after what happened forty-eight hours earlier at the office, which then led to Gabby having to give birth prematurely once more. But now, it seemed like she was recuperating and starting to feel a bit better; but Christie can't say the same about her brother.

Her brother? Well, he looked worried as he finished setting breakfast down in the little kitchen that he and Gabby have here in their room. "I have to say, this place is quite adorable Matt." Matt snickered as he heard his sister say that, before proceeding to make his way into the bedroom so that he could come see his sister. "Glad to see that you decided to come visit." Christie agreed with her brother as he said that, before getting up so that she can walk over to him; after which, she hugged him tight before whispering into his ear. "You doing okay? Gabby said you are, but are you really?" Leaning back, Matt smiled as he looked at his sister. "Christie, I'm fine. I promise. I'm doing great, and I am very happy with the life that I have right now." Christie agreed with her brother as he said that, clearly able to see that was the case. "Okay, just worried for my brother." Matt agreed with Christie as she said that, well aware that was the case; after which, he proceeded to make his way into the bedroom to check on Gabby…only to see Andy on the bed. "Andy, off the bed. Off the bed boy." Agreeing Andy, jumped off the bed so that he isn't in trouble with Matt.

However, Gabby was a bit confused when it came to why Matt didn't want him on the bed. "Hey, you okay? Why don't you want Andy on the bed?" Walking up to his beautiful wife, Matt smiled as he leaned over her and pout his hand on her neck; after which, he started to take things nice and slow with the woman of his dreams. "I want to make sure that you're safe and healthy, and that Andy doesn't jump on you." Moving her hand to Matt's cheek as he told her that, Gabby smiled because he truly is an amazing husband. How'd she got so lucky to have him as her husband? She'll never know. "God, I am not worthy of you." Matt snickered as he heard Gabby say that. "I never want to hear you say that again." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. After which, Matt turned to look at his sister. "So, are you just going to stand there? Or are you going to sit down and take it easy?" Christie laughed as she heard Matt say that. "I guess I can stay for a bit, while that handsome doctor over there finishes with the twins." That's when Matt realized that there's somebody else in the room, which would be Dr. Jeff Clarke. "Christie, he's married remember?"

Gabby then went to speak to her husband. "Matthew, you do not speak business with him; only speak with him about the girls, then come get breakfast with me." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, well aware that was what he needed to do right now; he needed to concentrate on his family, and that's all he's going to do. "I promise Gabby, that's all I'm doing. And I already called Antonio and checked on the boys, they're all good." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, glad that's the case. "Thanks baby." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that. "Now listen, either you can wait for me to eat….or you can start, but I'm going to check on the girls first." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that. "I'm going to start eating, so that it isn't cold." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that. "Okay then, but I'll be right back; I'm going to check on the girls before I eat." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware of the fact that he was worried for his daughters. "Just remember to breathe baby, because everything's okay." Matt agreed with Gabby. But still, that didn't mean that he wasn't going to check on his girls, because that's exactly what he plans on doing right now.

Walking over to Jeff and his girls, Matt smiled as he looked at the firefighter-turned-doctor this morning; unaware of the fact that he's trained in the NICU, and how to take care of preemies. "I didn't know that you knew how to work in the NICU Jeff." Turning to look at his friend, Jeff smiled as he looked at him. "Oh, I know a bit here and there." Matt agreed with Jeff as she said that, well aware that was the case. "You learn from Natalie while you were a Med Student at Chicago Med?" Clarke snickered as he heard Matt say that. "That, and when I was a firefighter. I think I had to give birth to a baby once." Matt agreed. "Same here." Jeff agreed with his boss as he said that, before watching as he turned to look at his daughters. "You want to know how your daughters are, don't you?" Matt agreed with Jeff as he asked him whether he wants to know how his daughters are, as he most definitely does want to know how they are. "Don't you know it." Jeff smiled as he heard Matt say that. "I think they are doing much better now, compared to how they were before." Matt agreed with Jeff as he said that. "And how's Bella doing? She had to go In for an operation yesterday?" Jeff smiled.

"I read that in the chart, for her breathing tube; right?" Matt agreed with Jeff as he said that. "I think so." Turning his head, Matt looked at Gabby. "What was the operation for yesterday Gabby? The one that they had to do on Bella?" Gabby took a breath. "Breathing tube." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that. "I thought that was the case. Now, jut breathe and take it easy baby. Things are okay now." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. "I know." Smiling at his beautiful wife, Matt made sure that she breathed before turning his attention back to Jeff and the girls; that way, he could get an update on them as well. "So, what are we thinking Jeff?" Jeff smiled as he looked at Matt. "Things are looking good at the moment, and I'm just glad that we are all good right now." Matt agreed with Jeff as he said that, before moving his hand to his back. "And you aren't sugar-coating it, right?" Turning his head, Jeff shook his head. "Matt, I promise you. That is not something I would ever do with your girls."

Matt agreed with his friend as he said that, well aware that was the case; however, Jeff soon couldn't help himself but ask about what happened two days ago. "By the way, I heard what happened two days ago. Did that shit really go down Casey?" Matt sighed as he turned to look at Gabby once more, before noticing that she was currently deep in conversation with Christie, which mean that he could talk to Jeff about this. "Hallway." Jeff agreed with Matt as he said that, before walking out to the hallway with Matt; the husband (obviously) not wanting to talk about this in front of his wife, and he understood why that was the case. What happened a couple days ago was quite traumatic, and she probably doesn't want to remember what happened; nor does Matt if he's being honest, but he's never going to be able to forget what happened to his wife. As it was something that was etched into his mind, just how helpless she looked; and how scared she looked as she thought that she was going to have to deal with it on her own, not that he would let her.

But still, that doesn't mean that he wants to (openly) talk about it in front of Gabby right now; she already has enough to deal with, and she needs to recover from all of this. And he truly believes that them not talking about this in front of her will help her recover much faster, than if they spoke about it in front of her; he just hopes that he doesn't get in trouble for doing this, as he's just trying to do what's right. And right now, this most certainly does feel like he's doing what's right…and that's due to the fact that he's protecting his wife and keeping her calm for the sake of her recovery from giving birth to the girls much more prematurely than they originally expected. "So, listen, I don't want to talk about this in front of Gabby. That's why we're out here." Jeff agreed with Matt as he said that, completely understanding why he would want that. "Hey, I get it Matt. You're worried for Gabby, and you want to do what's best for her; and I agree that this is the best for her, as she doesn't need to deal with this right now." Matt agreed with Jeff and sighed.

"Do you even want to talk about it? Because we don't have to, if you don't want to." Matt sighed. "No, I can talk about it; I promise, I'm going to talk about it quick. Gabby and Stella just got into a fight, about something related to my sister." Jeff gulped as he heard his former co-worker (and now boss) say that, well aware that he now finds himself in a tricky situation. "Damn, now that's a hard place to be in." Matt laughed. "You think? The parties to the conflict are my wife, my sister, and my best friend's wife." Clarke just made a bad face when he heard that. "Damn, now that's a rock in a hard place if I've ever heard of one." Matt agreed with Jeff as he was well aware of where he is right now, and just how hard things can easily get right now. "I'm just glad that I removed myself from the situation, and that I don't have to deal with it for the moment." Jeff agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. "You're on leave, and I promise to make sure that you don't hear anything on the company from me." Matt looked at Jeff.

"Dude, you really think I want Gabby to go all Gabby Dawson on me? Remember, I used to work with your wife in the firehouse. I've seen her get mad, while she's not pregnant. She scares the crap out of me when she gets mad, and you know that you feel the same way." Matt snickered as he heard Jeff say that, as that most definitely was the truth. "But I also love her more than anything in the entire world." Jeff agreed with Matt as he said that, as he was well aware of that fact as well. "And we can all see that based on how you treat her man, you put her before the job every single day." Matt agreed with Jeff as he said that. "Called being a husband, and a loving father to four beautiful children." Jeff smiled as he heard Matt say that. "I'm just glad that things worked out for you guys this time, because I remember what happened the first time around." Matt agreed with Jeff as he said that, well aware that he found out about the first baby; and that was due to the fact that he worked at Gaffney at the time. "I remember that, you stopped by."

Jeff agreed with Matt as he said that. "Matt, of course I stopped by. Just because I left the firehouse, doesn't mean that I don't still care for you guys; it's why I came up here to check on you guys in the first place, to make sure that you guys are okay." Matt agreed with his friend as he said that, before putting his hand out; after which, Jeff grabbed it and proceeded to shake his hand. "Just concentrate on Gabby and the twins for now, okay Matt? We got everything else under control back at work, and we will make sure that the company is there when you're ready to come back; after your paternity leave, when everybody is well rested and taken care of." Matt agreed with Jeff as he said that, well aware that was the case. "Oh, I know that. But listen, I need to go have breakfast before it gets cold." Jeff smiled, agreeing with Matt as he said that. After which, Matt turned around so that he could go to his and Gabby's room once more; then, he would enjoy the nice breakfast that they were going to have with each other, the one that Gabby probably already started.

She couldn't help herself, she just had to take a bite of her pancakes; the pancakes that were getting colder by the minute, and that tasted so damn delicious. She doesn't care if Matt wanted her to wait, she wanted to get eating; and that's exactly what she started to do now. And boy, were these pancakes divine; which was something Matt could tell, the moment he walked into their room once more. "I can only assume that the pancakes taste good?" Turning her head to look at her husband, Gabby got a bit nervous due to the fact that she didn't expect him to be that fast. "You didn't take long." Matt shook his head as Gabby stated that he didn't take long, and there was a reason for that; which was that he didn't need to talk to Jeff for all that long, as he already knew what he wanted to know. After all, Jeff knows him; and he knows what he's dealing with at the moment. "It's okay though baby, just take a breath and enjoy your breakfast." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, ready to do just that as she went to take another bite of her pancakes.

At the same time, Matt walked into the kitchen to grab his breakfast (which he was going to eat in the chair). And just what might he be having this morning? A nice omelet. God, it looked so delicious when he saw it downstairs; he just couldn't help himself, and knew that he had to grab it. Sure, he and Gabby could've had the same thing; but that's not what Matt wanted this morning, as he instead wanted to have this. He wanted to have the omelet that looked so good. And Gabby's okay with that, because she wants her husband to be happy. She wants him to have the meal that he wants, and she wants him to enjoy the breakfast that he has today. And now, that's exactly what he's going to do, he's going to enjoy the breakfast that he wants to have; while also eating here, with his wife and sister. "So, how long do you plan on staying Christie?" Christie smiled as Matt asked her that. "I was thinking of staying until you guys are done breakfast, then I can go to the office and work; after which, I'll be back at your place this afternoon.": Matt agreed.

"Oh, quick question. Can you take over oversight of ELLA Apparel for a bit? I want you to just look at it, and make sure that things run smoothly after the last debacle." Christie laughed. "Yeah, that's not happening. I am not creating more stress in the family." Turning her head, Gabby agreed with Christie as she could easily see that happening. "I agree with Christie Matt, can we just take it easy and relax for now?" Matt agreed with Gabby as she asked him whether they can just relax for now, as they most certainly can just relax for now. "Hey, of course we can baby. We can take it easy, and we can relax. We can make sure that you take it easy, and we can just make sure that you're healthy." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, glad that was the case. "Good, because that's exactly what I want to hear from you." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that, before going to grab her hand. After which, he leaned in and proceeded to kiss the woman he loves softly. "I love you." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that he loves her, something she already knows.

"Baby, I know that, and you have no need to keep saying it." Matt smirked as he heard Gabby say that. "I know that there's no need for me to keep saying it, but that doesn't mean that I'm going to stop; especially not when I like saying that I love you, because I love you more than anything in the entire world. That's a fact, and you're never going to be able to deny that fact." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. "God, I am so glad that you're going to be holding me in bed after we have breakfast." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, well aware of the fact that he's going to be holding her in bed after they have breakfast; anyways, that's exactly what he wants to do. He wants to hold the woman he loves in his arms, as they just take it easy and relax with each other. There's truly nothing better than him holding Gabby in his arms as they relax with each other. "I'm glad that's our plan." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before moving to grab his hand once more. "It'll always be our plan, for our entire stay here."

Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, because he really likes that idea. The idea of the both of them always holding each other close, and just relaxing in bed as they cuddle up to each other in bed. Honestly, it sounds like the best day ever; for them to just hold each other close in bed, as they concentrate on each other (and Gabby's recovery). Because that's one of Matt's biggest worries right now, that Gabby recovers to the best of her abilities; and that she doesn't rush it, because there's no need to rush her recovery. Rather, she can just take her time and do it right. If she needs something, then he can take care of it for her. There's no need for her to rush this, and he's not going to push her to do anything other than relax and take it easy. And the truth is, Gabby already knows that; she already knows that she's just going to take it easy as she holds her husband close to her…because it's what she wants to do. She wants to hold Matt in bed, as they cuddle up to each other and just concentrate on each other right now.

I mean, it's not like they have anything better to do; as they can't exactly hold Bella and Sofia right now, as they are currently too small and just need to be taken care of by specialists. But that's something that they're okay with too, just as long as they get to bring them home at the end of their hospital stay; if they can bring them home when they're ready to go homme, then they are going to be happy parents. Heck, they are already happy parents simply because they love their baby girls more than anything in the entire world. They are both so precious, and Gabby can't wait to hold them close to her; she just wishes that it could happen sooner, but she's okay with the current set up. She can see the twins, and she can relax as she recovers; and she can also be held by her dreamy husband, which is exactly what Matt is going to do for her today. He's going to hold her in his arms, and not let her go for the entire hospital stay; but first, they need to finish breakfast for that to be able to happen. Then, and only then can she get her man in bed with her.

With the trio having now finished having breakfast with each other, Matt and Gabby both smiled as they said their goodbyes to Christie; as she was leaving now that they were all done eating (and laughing a bit) with each other, since she needed to go work and take care of their sons…which is something that they are both grateful for, and Matt is conveying to her right now. "I hope you know that we really appreciate everything that you're doing for us right now Christie." Christie agreed with her brother as he said that, well aware of that fact as she stood by the door with him. "Matt, I already know that; and you don't need to keep saying it to me, just take it easy and recover with your beautiful wife over there." Turning his head, Matt smiled as he looked at Gabby as she truly is beautiful. "Well, I can't say that I don't like the idea of doing that today." Christie smiled as she heard her brother say that, well aware that's the case. "You can just take it easy for now and let us concentrate on the other things which are not important right now."

Matt agreed with Christie as she said that, before smiling as he kissed her cheek. "Thank you so much again Christie, and make sure that you come visit every once and a while." Christie agreed with Matt as he said that, before smiling. "Oh, I'll be back on Saturday with Violet, because she wants to meet her cousins." Gabby snickered as she heard Christie say that, before agreeing with her. "I would love that, maybe you can bring the boys at the same time." Turning his head, Matt bit his lip. "Let's just see how you are, okay?" Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, as she knew that he was still worried for her. And that was why she was okay with waiting a bit to see the boys, it was the only reason actually. "Okay." Smiling at his wife as she said that, Matt was really grateful what she was being so understanding right now; after which, he turned to look at his sister. "Thanks again for visiting." Christie agreed. "Have a good day guys." Both Matt and Gabby agreed with Christie as she said that, watching as she walked away while Matt closed the door too.

After which, he turned and looked at his beautiful wife. "What do you want me to do right now?" Smiling as she looked at Matt, Gabby smirked as she wanted to cuddle up to her shirtless husband in bed. "How about you strip down so that we can hold each other in bed? Because that's all I really want and can do right now." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, ready to do just that for her as he made his way towards her (and their bags) so that he could get undressed for his wife. "I might take a shower first, if that's okay?" Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that. "Go ahead baby." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that, before walking over to his things. Reaching into his bag for a fresh pair of boxers, Matt smirked as he then grabbed his towel and took off his sandals. But before he went to the bathroom, he decided to do something….he decided to strip down as a way to tease his wife, because he wants to make her happy. Taking off his shirt first, Matt smiled ads he folded it up and then went to set it down next to his bag for later. "Seriously?" Moving to take off his shorts shortly afterwards, Matt smiled as they fell down onto the ground, so he was just wearing his boxers.

And let's just say that Gabby was not too impressed, especially not when it turned her on. "You are really pushing it Mr. Casey." Matt smirked as he heard Gabby say that, well aware that was the case. "Oh, am I now?" Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before wagging her finger to get him to walk over to her; and that was something that he was not going to disobey. He was going to walk over to Gabby and give her the kiss that she wants right now, because Matt knew that was the real reason behind her asking her to come over. So much so, that Matt didn't even hesitate when it came to what he did; he just went ahead and leaned over Gabby, while also putting his hand on Gabby's neck. And let's just say that Gabby was glad he did that. "God, I love that you know exactly what I want." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before bending down and kissing the woman he loves softly. "And I will always know what you want for the rest of your life." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, just smirking at her dreamy husband. "You."

Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that, before bending down and proceeding to kiss his beautiful wife once more; after which, he took things nice and slow with Gabby (just like she wanted him to do). She wants him to take things nice and slow with her, as he gives her the pleasure that she wants right now; the pleasure that can only come from Matt giving her sweet kisses, and a bunch of love. "God, I love you so much." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, as he loves her too. "And I love you too. But now, I am going to take a shower so that I can get in bed with you afterwards." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before feeling him kiss her once last time. "I love you Gabby." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that. "I love you too, and I am more than ready to have you in bed. So please, go take a shower so that we can relax in bed with each other." Matt agreed with Gabby, before kissing her one last time so that they can both just get in bed and relax with each other for the rest of the day today; which is exactly what they both want.
