Chapter Two Hundred and Seventy-Two
What Was Your PTSD About Baby?
"What was your PTSD about Matt?"
That was the question that was now at hand in between both himself and Gabby, and it's a good question; because she has every right to know just what his PTSD is about, because she wants to help him. She wants to make sure that he takes it easy, and that he just relaxes; and that most certainly is the case when it comes to him having PTSD, which is exactly what Matt just had…about the girls' premature birth. And that was something that Matt still can't believe he can already say that he already has PTSD about the girls' premature birth. And all he can say, is that this PTSD seems to be just as bad as the boys' premature birth; and that's because of what they lost on the day that Gabby gave birth, which would be their triplet son…whom they would've loved just as much as the twins.
But right now, Matt doesn't need to think about that; when he instead needs to answer Gabby's question, because he can see that she's worried. She's worried about how he is, and how his PTSD is; and what his PTSD is about, which is his daughter's birth this time…and that's something that is so tragic about this situation. Rather than having his children's births as the memories of those days, he has memories about what happened and everything. But he just doesn't know what Gabby remembers, which is something that Matt's worried about; whether Gabby remembers everything, or whether she just remembers the outcome. And that's where Matt's going to start this conversation, where Gabby is…and just what she remembers about the day that she gave birth.
"Okay, I need to ask you a question before I give you an answer."
Looking up at the man she loves, Gabby was confused about why he said that; why he had to ask her a question, prior to him giving her an answer to her question. "Okay, I am not sure why you need to ask me a question first. Can you tell me that too?" Matt sighed as he moved his hand to Gabby's back and stroked it with his thumb as he turned his head; before pressing his lips to her forehead, as they held each other close in bed. "I want to know what you remember from that day, and what I can talk about; because I don't want to get you all too worried and everything." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, at that makes sense. "Well, that makes sense. And that's very sweet of you to do." Looking down at his wife as she said that, Matt smiled as he bent down and kissed her softly.
After which, Matt proceeded to take things nice and slow with the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world; at the same time, Matt ran his hand up and down her back. "So, what do you remember?" Gabby sighed. "I know that me and Stella had a fight, and I was rushed to the hospital; but from leaving the office, to us getting here is all a blur…and us giving birth to the girls is a blur. I mean, I can remember a bit of it; because I will always remember seeing the girls for the first time, but I don't remember anything other than seeing the girls. It's just…." Seeing Gabby getting a bit too overwhelmed, Matt proceeded tow rap his arm around her back and kissed her forehead softly. "I hate to even ask you this but…" Gabby agreed, well aware of what Matt was asking.
"No, I did not see Gabriel."
Turning his head, Matt looked down at his wife; after all, he has no idea just who Gabriel is. "Okay, are you okay baby? Because I have no idea who Gabriel is, and I hope that you don't think that…" Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before smiling as she ran her hand down Matt's muscular chest. "Baby, I know that we only had the girls. I promise." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before bending down and kissing the woman he loves softly. "But I gave our late son a name, Gabriel…after the angel." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that. "I love that name." Gabby then took a breath as she laid her head down on Matt's chest. "But at the same time, I made a decision that you might not truly enjoy." Matt was confused as he heard Gabby say that, before looking down at her.
"What are you talking about baby?" Gabby sighed, because it makes her feel stupid. "God, I feel stupid for thinking this way." Matt shook his head as he heard Gabby say that, as that's the last way that he wants his wife to feel right now. "Hey, I don't want you to ever tell me that Gabby; because you aren't stupid, and you are the most brilliant woman that I've ever met. And I'm not just saying that to get some brownie points with you for when we're home, because I know that I'm already guaranteed sex with you; because you're going to want me." Gabby laughed as she heard Matt say that, as that most definitely is the truth as she bent down and kissed her loving husband's chest. "But can you explain to me about Gabriel baby?" Gabby smiled as Matt asked her that.
"In my mind, I think that we were never supposed to have our last son."
Matt was a bit taken aback as he heard Gabby say that, before looking down at her. "What?" Gabby agreed with Matt as he asked her that, before bending down to kiss his chest; after which, she ran her hand down his chest as she cuddled up to him. "Listen, this is going to sound crazy. But I am just thinking about how we already have two sons to protect the girls, here on earth.": Matt then started to think what was going on. "Oh…" Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that. "Yeah, I was thinking that we could have Gabriel as his name who looks over all the kids." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that. "Well, I love that idea." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that, and just cuddled up to him; because now comes the hard part of the conversation that she needs to have with him.
And she is quite nervous when it comes to this, as she really doesn't know what her husband is going to think about this; because this is hard and related to his PTSD. "Matt, I just hope this doesn't hurt you to think this way; because I don't mean to hurt you, and that's the last thing that…" Looking down at his wife, Matt wrapped his arm around her some more as he makes sure that she knows that he's okay right now. "Hey, I'm okay. But that's exactly what I thought about. But now, I know that we have something else that we need to talk about right now." Gabby agreed with her husband as he said that, as that most definitely is exactly what they need to do right now; they need to talk about his PTSD…and whether he's okay right now, because that's what she wants him to be right now.
"I want to make sure that you're okay baby. Are you?"
Matt agreed with his wife as she asked him whether he was okay right now, as he most certainly was okay; because he has her here, and that's all that matters at the end of the day. That he has Gabby here with him. "I'm okay, because I have you here with me…and I'm holding the most beautiful woman in the entire world in my arms right now." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that, before feeling a bit of a chill, which then prompted Matt to wonder whether his wife was a bit cold right now. "You cold baby?" Turning her head as Matt asked her whether she was cold, Gabby smiled as she was. "Yeah, I am." Matt smirked. "Listen, how about I get you one of my sweats? And I can get dressed too, because I need to relax and just need to take it easy with you." Gabby agreed.
After which, she climbed out of his arms so that she can let Matt get up. "Thanks for doing this for me." Matt agreed with Gabby as she thanked him for doing this for her, which is exactly what he will always do for her. "Gabby, I will always do whatever I can to make sure that you stay warm; because that's what you need right now, you need to stay warm and healthy." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that. "Maybe we can even call the boys?" Matt smirked as Gabby asked him that, before walking over to his bags; after which, he opened his bag and proceeded to grab his sweats; but before he put his sweats on, he decided to throw some to Gabby. "Here, how about you put this on? Or do you need some help?" Gabby laughed. "I can do it myself baby." Matt agreed with his wife, smiling.
"I promise, I'll do it carefully to make sure that I'm okay."
Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, before bending down so that he could put his pants on; after which, Matt smiled as he tugged them up and tied them. He then went ahead and grabbed his shirt, tugging it on above his head. "Do you need anything before we get back in bed?" That's when Matt felt something hit him, before catching it as he turned around; he then saw that it was Gabby's bra, and just looked up at the woman he loves. "What's this?" Tugging her shirt down, Gabby smirked. "I want to be comfortable, and I do not want to wear a bra as I cuddle up to my muscular husband in bed." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, smirking as he was happy right now. "Well, I love the idea of you not wearing a bra in bed." Gabby laughed and agreed with Matt as he said that.
"I think we both know why you like the idea of me not wearing a bra, because it's sexy when I cuddle up to you without a bra." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, before walking over to Andy this afternoon; after all, he needs to give his dog a bit of attention right now. "Hey buddy. You okay over here?" Smiling as he rubbed his head, Matt was really happy about just how well behaved he is. "I swear, he is so well behaved." Gabby agreed with Matt as she tugged her shirt down. "I know, and I am really happy that's the case; especially since I really like how quiet it is in here." Smiling as he turned to look at his beautiful wife, Matt smirked. "Is that why you like cuddling up to me in bed?" Gabby smirked as Matt asked her that, as it most certainly is; because she loves his muscular body.
"What do you think? I think that I love cuddling up to my muscular husband."
Matt laughed as he heard Gabby say that, as that most definitely is the truth; but there was also something that he liked to do, which was to bend down and kiss the woman he loves. And that's exactly what Matt plans on doing with Gabby right now, as he got close to her. "Well, I know what I love sharing sweet kisses with the woman I love." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. "Oh, I am well aware of the fact that you love kissing me." Matt smirked as he heard Gabby say that, before getting really close to his wife; after which, he wrapped his arms around her and looked down into her eyes. And god, was that a nice feeling; which Gabby really enjoyed, and wanted to tell her husband that she enjoyed (which she did by wrapping her arms around his back).
After which, she stepped close to him and leaned up so that she could kiss her wonderful husband softly. "I love you Matt." Matt agreed with Gabby as she told him that she loves him, as that's something that he most certainly already knows. "I love you too Gabby, and I am so glad that you're doing better already." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, well aware that was the case; after which, she cuddled up to him some more. Meanwhile, Matt wrapped his arms around her as well and proceeded to kiss her forehead softly. "Listen, we need to get back in bed so that we can get comfortable." Gabby agreed with Matt, and smiled as she turned her head to look up at the man of her dreams. "Can you get in bed first? That way, I can cuddle up to you easier." Matt agreed.
Climbing into bed with Matt as soon as he was comfortable in their hospital bed, Gabby smirked as she crawled over to her loving husband and then laid down in his arms (while also wrapping her arms around his muscular torso): at the same time, Matt wrapped his arm around Gabby's back and rubbed it. "You want me to bring the covers up on top of the both of us?" Looking up at Matt, Gabby agreed as that most certainly is exactly what she wants her loving husband to do for her. "Oh, I most certainly do want you to bring the covers up on top of the both of us please." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before proceeding to do just that; after which, he wrapped his arm around her some more and cuddled up to her. And god, was he happy that they were both so comfortable.
"So, you glad that I have you in my arms again?" Gabby laughed as Matt asked her that. "I like the fact that we're wearing our sweats again especially." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, clearly able to see that's the case. "I can see that being the case right now." Gabby smiled as he told her that, while also wrapping her arms around him nice and tight; after which, she turned her head and bent down to kiss his chest softly. "What do you think the boys are doing right now?" Matt smiled as he went to look at the time. "Right now, I think they're taking their afternoon nap. It's 2:30 after all." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that. "God, I just realized that." Confused as Gabby said that, Matt was unsure what Gabby just relaxed. "And what would that be?" Gabby snickered.
"We're going to need to work on two schedules now."
Matt then thought about that as he felt Gabby put her hand on his chest, while he proceeded to put his on top of hers; and he couldn't help but wonder whether Gabby was mentioning that due to the fact that she was worried right now. "Is that something that's on your mind right now? Like, you want to talk to me about it?" Looking at Matt, Gabby shook her head as she was just pointing it out. "No, I was just pointing it out. Wait, do you want to talk about it?" Matt took a breath as Gabby asked him whether he wanted to talk about it, as he does. "I think that I do want to talk about it, because it brings up some questions that I have in my head now." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that. "Then let's talk about it baby, what's on your mind right now?" Matt sighed, agreeing.
"I guess, the one big thing on my mind is how we're doing to do it?"
Confused as she heard Matt say that, Gabby didn't exactly understand the meaning behind the question; nor did she really understand what he was talking about, or why he was worried about. I mean, they already know how they're going to do it. They're going to do it together, and they're going to make sure that they work as a team. And that's something that Gabby is going to make sure that she tells her husband. "Baby, what are you talking about? You already know the answer to that question. We're going to do it together, like we always raise the kids; we're going to work as a team, and we're going to raise the girls the same way as we raise the boys. As a team." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, before taking a breath. "Along with the company?" Gabby agreed with Matt.
"Are you starting to get worried again that we might be over extended?"
Matt sighed as Gabby asked him that, before wrapping his legs around hers as a way to stay extremely comfortable with the woman he loves. "I guess that is something that's on my mind at the moment. The idea of us getting too busy for our family life." Gabby shook her head as she heard Matt say that, as that isn't something that they're going to do. "Believe me when I say this Matt, that isn't something that you need to worry about, because we aren't going to do that. We're always going to put our family first; I can guarantee you that." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, and just smiled at the woman he loves more than anything. After which, he bent down and proceeded to kiss the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "God, I love you so much."
Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that he loves her, because that's something that Gabby already knows; just how much her husband loves her, especially since she loves him the same. "Matt, I know that you love me a lot; and I also know that I'm the love of your life, because you're the love of my life. And that will never change, because we're meant to be with each other for the rest of our lives." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby tell him that they're meant to be for the rest of their lives, as that's how he feels too. "I'm glad that we can already agree that's the case, because I feel the same way." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that. "I don't think that we'll ever argue about that baby…because of how much we love each other." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife, and just smirked.
He then proceeded to kiss her forehead softly, while continuing to cuddle up to her. "Do you want me to grab the TV remote and put it on the Hallmark Channel again?" Gabby shook her head. "Actually, I want to do something else." Matt was confused as he heard Gabby tell him that, while also looking down at the woman he loves. "Oh really, and what might that be?" Gabby smiled as she ran her hand down his chest. "I have some podcasts that I want to listen to. Some Datelines." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that. "Mind if we listen to it together?" Gabby agreed. "Grab your AirPods, because we don't need to share anymore. Remember, I told you that we can listen to them individually." Matt laughed. "I know. Don't you hate it when you find something out a lot later?" Gabby agreed.
"Then again, I think we both know that's our signature thing."
Confused, Matt looked down at Gabby when she said that. "Okay, can I ask what you're talking about there Gabby?" Gabby snickered as Matt asked her that and cuddled up to the man she loves some more (laying her head down on his chest). "Well, to start…we found out that I'm the real love of your life, and the woman you should've always been married to after you got engaged to Hallie." Matt smiled and agreed with Gabby as she said that, before running his hand up and down her back. "If that isn't the biggest truth." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before feeling him bend down and kiss her forehead softly. "God, I love it when you do that." Matt agreed with Gabby as she told him that. "Good, because I plan on doing it forever." Gabby smiled and agreed.
Meanwhile, Matt reached for his AirPods to put them it, which then prompted Gabby to sit up and reach for her AirPods on her side table, so that she could cuddle up to her man as they both listened to some podcasts together.
Now this is perfect, and exactly what Gabby wants to do as she listens to a Dateline Mystery. She wants to cuddle up to her husband in bed, and just hold him close to her; because that really is something that she really likes to do, especially when she's so comfortable right now. At the same time, Matt ran his hand up and down Gabby's back while they just held each other close. "So, what do you have on your mind right now as we do this?" Gabby laughed as Matt asked her that, laying her head down on his chest some more. "Honestly, I'm just thinking about how my husband has a very comfortable chest hat I love laying my head down on." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before bending down to kiss the top of her head once more. "I think that I can get used to you holding me like this." Looking up at Matt as he said that, let's just say that Gabby was not happy at that statement.
"Excuse me? You THINK you can get used to this?"
Matt laughed as he heard Gabby sound so offended as he said that, while also wrapping his arm around her back; after which, he bent down and proceeded to kiss the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "Baby, you really need to take it easy and just relax. Remember, I love you more than anything in the entire world; and I am just trying to make you laugh when I say that." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, well aware that's the case. "I know, sorry about that." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife as she said that, before moving to kiss her forehead once more. "Gabby, you just need to relax and remember that everything is okay." Gabby took a breath as she heard Matt say that, before putting her hand on his chest and stroking it with her thumb; after which, she turned her head her head and looked at the girls…which is an action that Matt saw, and just knew was on her mind right now.
"I mean it Gabby; you and the girls are going to be okay."
Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, before feeling him rub her back as they both held each other close in bed. "I know, I just hate that the girls have to go through this as well. I mean, what if…" Matt shook his head as he heard Gabby start going down a bath that they both know that they shouldn't go down. "Hey, we both know that this isn't a path that we should be going down baby. You need to take it easy and just relax, and you need to breathe for your recovery; please, just take it easy and concentrate on the nice podcast that we're listening to." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, before doing just that. She cuddled up to her man, and enjoyed the podcast that they were listening to…a nice Dateline on Ms. Lori Vallow Daybell aka Mommy Doomsday.
