Hi Readers: And welcome to your daily update of the Caseys. Now, I know that this is a story about the Caseys; and therefore, I should start with them most days. But based on where the storyline currently is, I believe that I instead need to just go with the flow and follow my heart as to where this story should go; and right now, that's not right back to Matt and Gabby. Rather, it's to stay with our Acting Chairman and CEO Rafael Solano, as well as his wife Interim Chief Creative Officer for Casey Creations, Jane Solano.
Chapter Two Hundred and Eighty
You Nervous?
"Okay, thanks mom. You have no idea how much I appreciate this."
Her mother couldn't help but agree as her daughter thanked her for coming to take care of her own grandson, as she was more than okay with doing it; especially since her daughter has a great job, as does her son-in-law. "Jane, I already told you; me and your abuela are more than okay to come spend some time with Matteo whenever you and Rafael need to work." Jane agreed with her mother as she said that, before smiling as she thought about just how lucky she is; how lucky she is to have both her mother (whose name is Xiomara) and her grandmother (whose name is Alba) in her life. The fact that there are four generations of her family still living is something that she appreciates more each and every day, because it isn't very common in the northern US, the South? Much more. And that's due to the fact that there are lot more families with Hispanic heritage, who tend to have children at a much younger age; and it turned out that she followed in that trend, as she had Matteo in her mid-20s. Meanwhile, her husband is only a few years older than her; because yes, Jane likes herself some older men. "I love that abuela is going to join you, because I want Matteo to learn Spanish; because here in Hawaii, we don't get to do that as much. And I hope that you know just how much I also appreciate the fact that you guys moved here." Xiomara laughed as she heard her daughter say that, as that was always going to happen; I mean, she does want to be in her grandson's life. And that is why she wants to be here, so that she can be in Matteo's life; and always will want to be.
"Jane, you weren't going to get rid of me that easily; I want to be in my grandson's life, and my future granddaughter's life?"
The mother said, clearly asking whether she and her husband were already trying for a daughter, which is something else that is pretty common in Hispanic families, having children closes in age. Well, at least in their family. "Oh, calm down mom, I am working at a great company, and I want to just get this started; plus, Raf is really busy right now. He's taken over as acting Chairman and CEO on a temporary basis while his boss is in the hospital with his daughters." Xiomara agreed with her daughter, well aware that was the case. "I know, I read all of the statements that the company released. Did that really happen though?" Jane agreed with her mother. After all, everything in that statement was the truth; and it all happened. "Yeah, it did happen. And I just feel horrible for Mr. and Ms. Casey. But listen, I just wanted to make sure that you and Abuela are going to be here today, because me and Raf need to get to the office earlier today so that we can get ready for the press conference." Xiomara agreed with her daughter once more, before taking a breath. "How is Raf feeling about all of this? He nervous?" Walking through the house, Jane took a breath as she was wondering the exact same thing. "I was actually just going to talk to him about it. Want to make sure that he's okay ahead of all of this." Xo agreed.
"Good. And let him know that he has nothing to worry about when it comes to Matteo. We've got him, and you can concentrate on work."
Jane laughed as she heard her mother say that, as that was never going to happen. "Mom, we're parents; do you really think that's going to happen? We're always going to worry about our son, because I know that you always worry about me." Xo agreed with her daughter as she said that, well aware that was the case. "I should've realized that was the case, I mean…I am a mother." Jane laughed as she heard her mom say that. "Do you not think abuela doesn't still worry about you? I mean, look how she was when you remarried dad." Xo agreed with her daughter as she said that. "Maybe I should bring him instead?" Jane laughed. "Wow, bright idea mom." Xo sighed. "Shut up Jane. Now listen, I am going to figure out who I am going to bring and get ready. How about you just get Matteo ready?" Jane smiled. "He's not awake yet. I'm letting him sleep in so that we can get ready. Then, he's not going to be as awake as we leave, and he'll just want to cuddle up to his Abuela." Xo laughed. "Well, that's a smart idea." Jane agreed with her mother as she said that. "Listen, I need to go. See you later." Jane then proceeded to end the call before walking up to the gym in her and Raf's home; and god, did she love the sight in front of her. The sight of her husband working out, which is something that Rafael noticed this morning.
"I had a feeling that I would've caught you down here eventually."
Jane agreed with her husband as he said that, smiling at her man. "Well, I am pretty sure that I would rather be with you; than be naked in bed without you." Taking a breath as he heard his wife say that, Raf agreed with her. "Sorry about that." Jane shook her head as she walked into the gym. "I know why you're down here. You nervous?" Sighing, Raf agreed with his wife as he was a bit nervous. "First statement that I'm making on my own on behalf of the company." Jane agreed with her husband as he said that, well aware that was the case; after which, he decided to make her way all the way over to her handsome husband this morning. The man who is also the love of her life, and the father of her children. And let's just say that Raf loves that Jane just walked over to him, because she is so damn sexy. "Hi there." Jane agreed with her husband as he said that while getting close to him, before wrapping her arms around his neck and just holding her man close to her; however, Raf needed to do something before he could hold his wife. "Here, let me put my weights down first." Jane agreed with her husband, before letting him go; after which, Raf bent down and proceeded to set his weights down on the ground. "There, now the weights are out of our way." Jane agreed and smirked, because that was what she wanted.
"Perfect, now come here handsome."
Raf agreed with Jane as he said that, before smiling as he walked up to his wife; and let's just say that was exactly what Jane wanted, as she wanted to share a kiss with the man she loves. "I love you." Raf agreed with Jane as he said that. "And I can see that you're nervous right now, which is something that you are not going to deny. So, do you need to talk to me about something?" Raf sighed as he looked at the woman he loves. "Yeah, I am just nervous, and I don't want to screw this up; this is my first chance to really show what I can do to my boss. After all, he is going to be listening today; there's no doubt in my mind that he will be watching today." Jane agreed with Raf as he said that, well aware that was the case; after which, she got close to him. Meanwhile, Raf moved his hands to her back and just held the woman he loves close to her; bending down, he smiled as he made his wife feel loved. "I love you." Jane agreed with Raf as he said that, before leaning back and smiling at the man she loves more than anything in the entire world; after which, she leaned in and proceeded to kiss the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "I love you, and I can clearly see that you're nervous right now. But you're going to be fine, and you're going to have me by your side." Rafael smiled at Jane.
"Let me guess, you just called your mom?"
Jane agreed with Raf as he asked her that, as that most certainly is the case; but you already knew that, as you watched Jane make the phone call to her mother. "My mom, abuela, and father are all coming to spend some time with Matteo; and they are going to take care of him, as we're both at the office." Raf agreed with Jane as she said that, before smiling as he leaned in and kissed her softly once more. "Sounds perfect. But not as perfect as last night." Jane smirked as she heard Raf say that, while also watching him pick her up in his arms; after which, he leaned in and started to kiss her neck softly. "Oh, now that feels perfect." Raf smirked and agreed. After which, he leaned back and kissed his beautiful wife softly once more. "Think that Matteo would sleep through us in the shower?" Jane smirked as Raf asked her whether their son would sleep through them in the shower, because he most certainly will; and if he doesn't, then she doesn't care…because she wants to take a shower with her sweaty husband. However, she doesn't like the idea of him carrying her in his sweaty arms. "Listen, I don't know if I like the idea of you carrying me like this. Too sweaty." Raf laughed as he heard Jane say that, before moving to set her down on the ground; that way, they can walk together towards their room.
"Well then, we can at least walk hand-in-hand."
Jane agreed with Raf as he said that, before grabbing his hand and intertwining their fingers. "Plus, it'll help us be quiet when we're upstairs in our room; it might help us keep Matteo asleep, so that we can just get ready together." Raf agreed with Jane as he said that, as that's something that they both need to do right now. "We need to spend more time with each other too." Jane smiled as she heard Raf say that, before thinking about something. "Maybe I can call my mom, and ask her to take Matteo for two days…then we can have a Friday night date tomorrow to deal with this stress?" Raf smirked as he heard Jane say that, before getting close to her. After which, he wrapped his arm around her and smiled as he kissed the top of her head. "I think that's something that I can support, because I want to make sure you know that I am always going to put our marriage first; even when…" Stopping in her tracks, Jane turned to face her husband as that was the last thing that she wanted to hear her husband say. "Hey, look at me Raf." Turning to look at Jane, Raf agreed as he looked at the woman he loves; who was clearly alarmed after what he told her today on their way upstairs.
"Raf, I don't want you to ever think that I don't know that."
Raf agreed with Jane as she said that, before stepping close to her and wrapping his arms around her waist; doing the same with her arms, Jane put her hands on Raf's muscular back. "Raf, I love you; and I know that this is not something that you planned to have to deal with, to have to be appointed as acting CEO. But things happen, and you need to do this for your boss; and the truth is, it makes me love you more. It makes me love you, because it shows me that you're willing to put others first. Just like Mr. Casey, you're changing lives and making sure that people have better lives; and you're also making sure that you boss gets what he needs, which is time with his family…especially now, as he has three children, and his wife in the hospital. And I also know that, because I know that you'd want the same thing Raf. You'd want to be by my side the entire time that me and Matteo would be in the hospital." Raf agreed with Jane as she said that, as that most certainly is the case; after which, he moved his hands to her neck and bent down to kiss the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "I love you." Jane agreed with her husband and smiled at him.
"I love you too. And I am proud of you. But listen, I need to call my mom again; and then I'll join you in the shower."
Raf agreed with Jane as she said that, as that most certainly is exactly what he wants. He wants Jane to call her mom again, so that they can get the weekend alone; even though it's only Thursday, it's just easier to send him away today so that they can take it easy tomorrow. Heck, maybe they can even work from home tomorrow. "Maybe we can even work from home, in bed tomorrow." Jane laughed as she heard Raf say that, as that most certainly is something that she loves the idea of. She loves the idea of the two of them working from home, as they just hold each other close in bed. "Maybe we can even take breaks and try for that daughter that you want more than anything in the entire world." Raf laughed as he heard Jane say that, before wrapping his arm around her waist; after which, he leaned in and kissed the side of her head. "I love you." Jane agreed with her husband as he told her that, well aware that was the case. "I love you too, and I am so glad that we're going to take a shower now." Raf agreed with Jane as she said that, before making their way upstairs. "Actually, how about you get the shower ready? I'll join you as I have an idea." Jane was confused.
"What are you talking about?"
Raf smirked. "Do you trust me?" Jane agreed with her husband as he asked her whether she trusts him. "Hey, of course I trust you Raf; I will always trust you, because I love you." Raf agreed with Jane as she said that, before smiling as they both made their way upstairs; where Raf would call his mother-in-law as he needs to tell her that he's going to be doing something special for Jane this weekend.
He could tell that his mother-in-law didn't expect to get another phone call from his or his wife this morning, especially since she sounded really surprised (and quite worried) the moment she answered the phone today. "Rafael. I just spoke to Jane, is she okay? Is it Matteo?" Clearly hearing the worry in his mother-in-law's voice, Raf went to reassure her that everything is okay. "Xo, take a breath and relax. Please, just take it easy; I promise that everything is okay, and that's not the reason that I'm calling. I'm calling for something else." Xo was a bit confused as she heard Raf say that, before deciding to just listen to her son-in-law. "Then what's happening Raf?" Raf sighed. "Listen, I already know that Jane said that you are going to come take care of Matteo with your mom and Rogelio." Xo agreed with Raf. "Yeah, we should be there in an hour; is that okay for the timeline of the press conference? We'll be watching by the way." Raf agreed with Xo as she asked him that, as that most certainly is the perfect timeline as he needs to get ready as well.
"That should work fine, but I am wondering if you can take care of Matteo at your place?"
Xo was a bit confused as she heard Rafael ask her that. "Is there a reason for that?" Raf sighed as Xo asked him whether things were okay, even though that was not what she asked him; but he could read between the lines, and he could tell that was exactly what she was wondering. "Things are fine Xo, I promise. It's just…I don't remember the last time that me and Jane got time together, time where we were just husband and wife. And right now, I think it's important for us to do that, because I am so busy. Last night, I worked really late at the office, and I missed our date night here at home. And I did the same the night before. So, I owe her some time between just me and her; and I don't want her to feel like I'm neglecting our marriage." Xo agreed with Raf as he said that. "So, you want me to take Matteo until Saturday? And then you get him back then?" Raf sighed. "I was thinking the entire weekend, because we have a lot of stress in our home at the moment." Xo agreed with Rafael as he said that, clearly able to hear that was the case.
"I can hear that in your voice, and I understand. So, you want us to take Matteo at our place?"
Raf agreed as that was exactly what he was thinking, because then he and Jane can just be alone here. "I would love that, because then we can take it easy and just relax. We can concentrate on each other, and we don't need to worry about Matteo; well, as much. But listen, I need to get ready for work and I will talk to you soon." Xo agreed with Raf as he said that, loving that idea. "See you guys soon." Raf smirked as he heard Xo say that, before walking over to his side table; after which, he set it down on his charger. After which, he walked over to Matteo in his crib to check on him. And let's just say that he looks so adorable, because he looks like the perfect mix of him and Jane. But now, it's not time for him to concentrate on his son; rather, it's time for him to get in the shower with Jane ahead of the two of them being disturbed by their family who are going to take care of Matteo. But honestly, that's what he wants; he wants to get time alone with his wife, and Jane wants that too. After all, they both agreed that would happen.
And now, he can tell his wife that they are going to have the weekend alone, which is everything that she wants right now, to have some time alone with her husband. And boy, Raf can't wait to tell her that; but first, it's time for him to get in the shower with the woman he loves. And let's just say that Jane looks absolutely beautiful las she stands there in the shower, all wet under the shower head; and Raf is just going to move his hand all over her body, as he helps wash her…especially after they made love to each other the night before. Because there's just something about washing your wife after you made love to her, because there's a bunch of sweat on her; some of which is yours, which is exactly what Raf needs to wash off his wife. But first, he needs to get in there with her; which is exactly what he's in the midst of doing right now, as he went to take off his towel and open the shower door this morning. And let's just say that Jane loved the sound of that, which she showed by smiling at her husband as soon as she turned to face him.
"Well, if this isn't a nice surprise; my loving husband coming to join me in the shower."
Raf laughed as he heard Jane say that, well aware that was the case. "Oh, I wanted to be in here the moment you came to get me downstairs; but first, I spoke to your mom and she's going to take Matteo for the weekend, which is what we want." Jane smirked and agreed with Raf as he said that, as that most certainly is the truth. "Oh, now if that isn't the truth; we want to have Matteo with our family, so that we can take it easy and just hold each other close." Raf smirked as that's exactly what he was thinking about as well. He's thinking about the fact that he wants to spend some time alone with the woman he loves, his beautiful wife Jane Solano; but right now, he wants to show her love here in the shower. "God, you are so damn sexy here in the shower." Jane agreed with Raf as he said that, before watching as he got close to her this morning; after which, Raf wrapped his arms around her and brought his gorgeous wife against his chest. Meanwhile, Jane grabbed the back of his head and tugged his lips down against hers. "So sexy."
Raf agreed with his wife as she said that, well aware that was the case. "So are you my love, and I am so glad that you're in this with me; I hope you know that I can't do this without you." Moving her hand to Raf's chest, Jane shook her head as that most certainly isn't the truth. "Hey, don't say that Raf. We both know that you can do this without me, because you are a great executive; and you're also an amazing husband and father. And it makes me so proud that you're my husband." Raf smirked as he heard Jane say that, before moving his hands to her butt and moving to take things nice and slow with his beautiful wife once more. "God, you are so damn sexy, and I love you more than anything in the entire world. You are such a great mother, and I am proud that we have Matteo." Jane laughed as she heard Raf say that. "Let me guess, you want to try for a daughter this weekend?" Raf laughed as he heard Jane ask her that, before mentioning that her mother was wondering the same thing right now.
"Your mom just asked me the same thing on the phone, whether we're going to try and have a daughter."
Jane laughed as she heard Raf say that, as her mom asked her the same thing. "She asked me the same thing, but we don't need to talk about it yet; we can just let things happen." Raf agreed with Jane as she said that, as that most certainly is exactly what he wants. He wants to let things happen, and not rush things. "That's exactly how I feel. I feel like we need to just let things happen, rather than rush things." Jane agreed with the man she loves, before feeling him move his hand to her neck; after which, he stroked her cheek and smiled as they both took things nice and slow with each other. "I love you Jane." Jane agreed with her husband as he told her that. "I love you too." Raf agreed with Jane as she told him that, before continuing to take things nice and slow with his gorgeous wife; at the same time, he went to grab the soap so that he can start washing her this morning (which is exactly what she wants him to do).
"Listen, how are you doing right now? I know that you work out when you're stressed. Is that what happened today?"
Raf sighed as that most certainly is exactly why he was working out. "I just don't want to make things worse for Mr. and Ms. Casey." Jane shook her head as she heard Raf say that, as that was the last thing that he was going to do. "Raf, you're not going to do that; if anything, that's the last thing that you're going to do. You're not going to make things worse for the both of them, based on the statements that the company made. I promise that you're going to make things better, and we're all going to work to help them get through this. In fact, I was thinking that we could go visit them at some point; because we need to let them know that we're there for them." Raf smiled as he heard Jane say that. "I'll talk to him after the statement today, because I already know that he's going to call me." Jane agreed with her husband, before smiling as she took things nice and slow with the man she loves more than anything.
"I love you Raf."
Raf agreed with his beautiful wife as she said that, well aware that was the case. "I love you too Jane, and I will always love you." Jane smirked as they both took things nice and slow with each other this morning; after all, this is everything that they both want to do. They want to take a shower with each other, and they just want to remind each other that they love to each other; because as much as they need to work today, they also need to remember that they are husband and wife first…and that's something that they can easily remind each other, by having Raf make love to Jane in the shower. And that's exactly what Raf started to do. "Oh baby." Raf smirked as he heard Jane say that, well aware that she was loving that feeling; plus, he was loving the feeling as well. The feeling of her husband making love to her as they took a nice shower with each other. Because damn, is he good; both in bed, and in the shower.
