"Really? This is it?"
Aisha stared at the sorry structure in front of her, a hovel in the middle of nowhere on the outskirts of Magnolia. Its dilapidated frame rotting in the baking spring sun, a lone banner hung proudly above the old cracked door. She recognised the standard, it was the whole reason she had left her home and came to this foreign land. This was the Fairy Tail guildhall, though she didn't expect the hall to be in the state that it's in.
She decided it was time for her to walk in and introduce herself, she opened the door slowly and as the door gently opened she was greeted with a chair flying past her head and out of the building. She looked in and saw that two men were fighting, one using fire magic with bright pink hair, and the other with jet black hair but without clothes. She walked into the guild completely unnoticed, the members were too focused on the fight that was seemingly getting bigger, with more and more people being dragged into the melee.
She calmly walked past and sat down at the bar, across from her stood a beautiful woman. This barmaid had long white hair, with slight curls at the ends of her hair. She wasn't very tall, below average height. Aisha couldn't help but run her eyes down the white-haired beauty's body, taking in every curve but after Aisha caught herself she would look into her eyes. Aisha spoke up.
"This is Fairy Tail? Correct?"
The mage looked at Aisha with a gentle smile, one that lights up the room and even drew a soft uncharacteristic smile from Aisha.
"That's right, this is the Fairytail guild hall. I'm Mirajane, what's your name?"
"Aisha Alyamani, I heard about the guild and wanted to join."
Mira looked at her and smiled, leaning over the bar to get a little closer to Aisha .
"I'm sure you'd be able to, though you will need to meet the master. He'll want to introduce himself to you. We're always looking for new recruits, and you're joining at a great time. We're going to be going on a training mission in the next few days, for the Grand Magic Games. If you're lucky you might get to enter."
Aisha shot Mira a puzzled look.
"The Grand Magic Games? Would I be able to enter? Even if I just joined the guild?"
"It depends, there are a lot of really strong wizards in the guild. So not everyone would be able to enter, but if you train hard there's always a chance you could compete. Now come with me I'll take you to the Master, after you join we can talk about it more.
Mira came from behind the bar and signaled for Aisha to follow her, Aisha stood off her bar stool and followed her. Mira would slowly lead Aisha up the stairs behind the bar, Aisha would follow Mira until they reached a small door which Mira would knock on gently.
"Master, I have someone here who wants to join the guild. Are you busy?"
After a few brief seconds a loud voice emerged from behind the door.
"Send them in, I'm just filling paperwork for the Magic Council."
Mira opened the door and showed Aisha in and closed the door behind her. Aisha stepped into the small office and looked around, just like the rest of the guild hall it was old, weather and impossibly dusty.
"Sit down child, want some tea? I'm Master Makarov, the Third Master of Fairy Tail and the Sixth."
Aisha sat down on the seat across from the desk, sitting down on it and getting comfortable. Confidently sitting up and smiling at the Master.
"So tell me, what's your name? And what brought you to the guild?"
"Aisha Alyamani, my grandfather told me about this guild. He met a Fairy Tail mage when he was younger and said that the guild could become anyone's home. Regardless of their past or where they've came from"
The Guildmaster looked at her and smiled, clearly approving of her answer.
"He sounds like a smart man, because that is why Fairy Tail exists. To give people a home, a family. You would be more than welcome to have those things here with us. Though I do want to know something, where are you from? Your name, your accent and your appearance. You aren't from Fiore are you?"
Aisha looked at the old master, his furrowed brows angled curiously.
"I am from a country in the east called Hijaara, I left because there was nothing left there for me."
As Aisha finished the Master looked at her with a raised brow, leaning into his desk while staring into her eyes.
"Hijaara, that's on Alkatasia isn't it? That's Imperial territory now, correct?"
"You would be right, it's been Imperial territory for a few years now. Since the war with the Northern Tribes. The Imperials promised us help if we joined them, which was the only way to win the war. It wasn't a popular decision, but for what it's worth it was the correct one."
Aisha shifted uncomfortably in her chair, a few small face movements signaling that she was uncomfortable discussing the Hijaaran war. Makarov noticed this and decided to not question the war.
"How is the Empire these days? Being from Ishgar we don't have the best relationship with them, especially after the war in X781."
"The Empire is fine for the most part, the Emperor is still away and no one knows where he is. There are rumours on the streets in Vistarion that claim he has disappeared and that the Spriggan Twelve don't even know where he is."
Makarov's stoic face didn't show any emotion this time, as much as Aisha tried to read his expression it didn't work.
"I will have to keep an eye on that, the Empire is dangerous. I hope you know that if we need to take action against them, you'll be one of the first people I'll call upon in the guild."
"Of course, that's to be expected, I have personal experience inside the Empire."
Aisha's mind caught up to what he just said, and a wide smile crossed her lips.
"Did you just say inside the guild?"
Makarov nodded with a gentle grandfatherly smile on his face, he stood up and offered a hand to Aisha, she took his hand and shook it. Signally her initiation into the guild, Aisha couldn't get rid of the smile from her face. She was so happy that she had been accepted into the guild, there was a part of her deep inside that knew this could be her key to what she wants.
"Aisha, if you go and see Mira again downstairs ask her for your guildmark, you'll have to tell her where you want it and what colour. Also say to her that you'll be getting mentored by her for the next few months until you get settled in."
"Thank you Master, I cannot tell you how happy I am to be accepted into the guild. I'll make everyone proud and defend them and the guild with my life."
The Master smiled as Aisha opened the door to the office and headed downstairs, when she entered the main room of the building she found a totally different scene to the chaos that she left it in. There was an Amazon with bright red hair, who was currently apprehending the two wizards who started that whole brawl. She smiled when she noticed that they had two huge bulges on their head where the redhead had hit them.
Aisha would make her way to the bar again and sat down in the same seat as before, across from the same beautiful barmaid as before. A wide smile on the Hijaaran's face, a smile that told the whole story to Mirajane.
"So he accepted you, congratulations."
The barmaid had the same familiar smile on her face as before, but there was a different glint in her eye. She was truly happy to have Aisha in her guild and fully expected to get to know her properly in the next few months.
"He told me to ask you about my guildmark, I'm not sure where I should get it. I can't get it anywhere on my left arm."
"What about your right arm, on your wrist. I'll show you, give me your arm."
Aisha puts her hand on the bar as Mira uses her gentle soft hands to guide her fingertips down her arm. She turns her arm over and holds it out, resting her hand on her wrist just below her open hand.
"Here, this would be a good place for a guild mark."
Aisha nodded in agreement.
"What colour would you like it, we all have different ones."
Aisha looked at Mira, and simply stated.
"Gold, it has to be gold."
Mira smiled, knowing that no one else in the guild has a gold emblem making this totally unique. She took the stamp and pressed it lightly against Aisha's wrist and as she pulled it away she left the new golden fairy tail guild mark on her.
"You're now an official member of Fairy Tail, did the master tell you anything else before he sent you down here?"
"He said that you're going to be mentoring me for the next few months"
Mira smiled excitedly and giggled, taking Aisha's hands. Holding them tight.
"Perfect! I'll help you get settled into the guild though I will warn you, we're traveling in a few days to train in the mountains. That will be hard, you better prepare yourself. I promise you'll love being here.
Aisha had a wide smile on her face, not afraid of hard work.
"I'm sure I will, Fairy Tail will never be the same after me."
