Aisha's POV:

What a day it had been, the fight with Jura had gotten me so incredibly worked up but I never even got the satisfaction of winning it. I better have another chance at glory before these games finish, the master wants me to sit out tomorrow so it looks like Cana will be taking my place. She has never been my biggest fan but tonight it seems like she has a special sort of disgust for me.

Since it was night at the tavern, the place was rowdy. Natsu and Gray were out at the bar causing mayhem, Wakaba, Macao and the Makarov were propping up the bar. The whole place was so loud so I got up from my seat and went upstairs to the balcony overlooking the lower districts of Crocus.

I looked over the city as I placed my glass of red down, and with my other hand the bottle. Crocus was a truly beautiful city, its wide boulevards decorated with the bright colours of summer. This city earned its title of the Flower-Blooming Capital, there were lights everywhere here it almost made Magnolia look quaint. This place was so different from my home, where Hijaara is hot, dry and desolate, and Crocus is warm and pleasant. This is the kind of place I'd like to settle down when all is done, but alas there is a mission to complete and a tournament to win.

My quiet evening was spoiled though when I heard the door behind me slam shut with a thunderous bang, I didn't have to turn around to know who it was.

"Cana, how can I help you today?"

"Aisha, not spending the night alongside your guild mates downstairs?"

I sighed at the venomous comment, tingling with passive aggressiveness.

"After fighting today I just need some peace and quiet, I'm sure you'd understand if you had fought already. But then again maybe you wouldn't, you're not exactly the first choice for the master to pick."

I couldn't help but smirk as I turned around to face the mage, her face wore an all too familiar frown, one that only seemed to appear when I was around.

"You are a special sort of bastard Aisha, you have everyone else in the guild fooled by this persona. It drives me insane, there's something rotten about you."

"Oh and what might that be Cana?"

"One day you appear out of the blue at the guildhall asking to join, the master lets you and you end up training with us. In that whole time I very rarely saw you use your magic and when you did it was nowhere near as strong as it was today."

I rolled my eyes and leaned against the railing of the balcony and sighed.

"I left my country because there was nothing for me there, I came here to find a home. Is that so hard to believe?"

"Yes it is, you've traveled across an entire ocean and just ended up at Fairy Tail's door. Don't even give me that bullshit about your grandfather, I can't believe people bought into that. There are far too many variables that make this unlikely at best and a lie at worst."

I looked dead ahead at the brown haired mage, my eyes scanning her face. She was completely serious and was adamant about me being some sort of traitor.

"Cana, I am being completely serious. I wanted a better life, I don't have an ulterior motive."

"I'll let sleeping dogs lie, but if you even dare to harm my guild I will hurt you worse than you did in that war you're always so sombre about"

I looked deep into her soul as she smirked, that was a low blow. I felt the anger bubble up inside me, which I could so easily unleash.

"Fuck you Cana, this is my guild too now. I don't intend to harm it in any way, but if you keep talking like that I can't promise that gratitude will extend to you. Don't you ever say that again or it'll be the last mistake you ever make."

Before Cana could respond Mira opened the door and walked out into the balcony, her trademark smile on her face. I looked over her and couldn't help but smile, Mira was truly beautiful inside and out. She is such a genuine person, if she hadn't been here I doubt I'd have enjoyed my time in Fairy Tail.

"Is everything ok here?"

Mira asked, raising an eyebrow and looking between Cana and myself. I nodded and Cana cleared her throat.

"Mira, I don't know what you see in her but I don't trust her at all. She is here to hurt the guild, keep an eye on her. You cannot afford to be soft with her, she is far too suspicious. Doesn't anyone find it strange how she appeared out of nowhere and is strong enough to almost beat Jura?"

Before receiving any sort of response from Mira, Cana walked out of the balcony and back downstairs. I sighed to myself and sat back down on my seat, glad that Mira had intervened because I don't think I'd have been able to stay as cool as I had before.

Mira came over and sat down across the table from me, her large blue eyes looking at me sympathetically. I tried to avoid her gaze, feeling an unfamiliar feeling. I was blushing, I couldn't look at her when she looks at me like this. I put my head and my hands and sighed as I rubbed my face.

"You don't have to say Aisha, it can't have been easy trying to settle into the guild and a new country even without Cana giving you problems."

"It hasn't been, I miss my home but I do like the guild. What Cana said did bother me alot, but I'm trying not to think about it now."

Mira sighed and relaxed a little in her seat, I sat up properly and looked over at Mira. The ashen haired mage was truly beautiful, there was a reason she was a model. Today she was wearing a a long black dress, the chest was low cut and it was lined with white silk. Mira was always dressed to impress, even when in battle. As always she did impress.

"Cana loves Fairy Tail, out of the members our age, Cana has been here the longest. She lives and breathes Fairy Tail, she is just overprotective of the guild. I know you're not a traitor or a spy, you're just a woman who is trying to make her way in the world. You're a lovely person, some people might see you as arrogant or reserved. But I know from our time together you're truly a lovely person and will be a valuable member of the guild."

I smiled widely and rubbed my neck awkwardly, what Mira was saying was so sweet. She even made me blush.

"Mira you're so sweet. As long as you're in Fairy Tail, I think I could make my home here. I've gotten along with other members but you do make me feel welcome here."

"As I should, everyone in the guild should feel welcome. In your case even more so, all of this is so foreign to you. So I want to take care of you and make sure you can be happy here."

I leaned forward and took my glass of wine back and took a sip, silently offering Mira another glass which she rejected.

"Don't you drink Mira?"

"Very rarely, but if we win these games I might have one or two"

"Well I guess Mira I'll have to help the guild win these games so I can see what you're like when you drink."

Mirajane giggled, and brushed her hair behind her shoulders.

"Maybe you do, with a few more performances like today I think you could help us win."

"I'll just have to do that, but I also want to see you go all out once. The guild members say that you're one of the strongest members in the guild, I want to see that for myself."

"Oh you will see that Aisha, and I would say I am good but some of our guild mates can exaggerate."

"Be that as it may, it is still something I want to see. So when we win the games, promise to share a bottle of wine with me?"

Mira flashed one of her trademark smiles at me, I smiled back. Mira had one of those smiles you can lose yourself in, which I found myself doing more and more often as time passed.

"Deal, now I'm going to head to bed. I'll most likely be fighting tomorrow, make sure you're in the gallery cheering for me."

"I will be Mira, I'm sitting in the main box tomorrow. I'll make sure you hear my support."#

Mira smiled as she walked away waving to me, I watched her leave and disappear out of my sight as I sighed. I cannot believe I've met someone like her, she reminds me so much of Saadiya. I just know what the end result is going to be.
