Well, if that wasn't a nice chapter. Finally, it brought us back to what Matt's career is; more specifically, his career now is being a CEO. And that's exactly how he just acted, as a CEO; but now, it's time for him to return to his favorite job as papa-daddy and a husband.
Chapter Three Hundred and Two
Nap Time, Mommy-Daddy Time
He probably should've looked at the clock to really realize what Gabby really wanted from him, because it most certainly was not help feeding the girls; not when she's standing at the end of their bed wearing that, while he came out of his closet wearing nothing put his tight boxers. "So, I can only assume based on the fact that they're still fast asleep in their cribs, that our daughters don't really need feeding?" Shaking her head, Gabby smiled as she looked at the man she loves as he walked up to her; after all, that's exactly what they both want. They both want him to walk up to her and move his hands to her body once more. "I think we both know the real reason why I really want you in here." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, while smiling as he made his way over to her.
After which, he moved his hands to her hips and brought her close to his chest. "Does it have anything to do with the way I'm holding you right now?" Smirking, Gabby put her hands on his muscular chest as she held him close to her; after all, it most certainly does. She then proceeded to run her hands up his chest and leaned in to kiss him softly. "I know you want to work but…" Shaking his head, Matt got close to Gabby and wrapped her arms around him. "Hey, no. Not yet. It's okay, I want to be here too." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, while wrapping her arms around his back. "I may have asked our moms to just take it easy and maybe hang out in the guest house for a bit." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that, because that most certainly is something that he likes the sound of.
"Is there a reason why you asked our moms to stay in the guest house?"
Gabby smirked as she moved away from her husband, while also grabbing his hand; after which, she led him towards their bed where she wants to be with him right now. And while she was with him in the pool, she just wants to cuddle up to him in a comfortable bed; and that's due to the fact that her back is really hurting her, which is why she's going to need some help. "Okay, I am really actually starting to regret something, which is another reason why I need you here." Walking up to Gabby next to their bed, Matt grabbed her hand and just looked at her puzzled; after all, he had no idea just what she was even talking about. "And what might that be?" Gabby smiled as she looked at Matt. "I put a bra on, but I regret it now." Matt agreed with Gabby, while stepping close to her today.
After which, he put one of his hands on her hip to bring her body against his chest; meanwhile, he also put one of his hands on her neck to keep her body against his chest. And let's just say that's exactly where Gabby wanted to be, right against her husband's muscular chest; but at the same time, she also wanted to be kissing him. And that was why she just put her hands on his chest and leaned up to kiss him softly. "I love you, and I am so glad that you're done work." Matt agreed with Gabby. "Honestly, I am not going to work much right now; because I am on paternity leave and trying to get time with you and the kids. I haven't done that much." Taking a breath, Matt sighed as he stepped close to Gabby. "In fact, I ended up doing it again." Gabby was confused as Matt said that.
"What are you talking about baby?"
Moving to sit down on the side of the bed, Matt let out a sigh; while at the same time, he put his hands out to try and get Gabby to sit down in his lap. And luckily, she got the message and did just that; after which, she put her hands on the top of his chest and stared into those beautiful eyes that she loves. Meanwhile, Matt looked up at her and kissed her softly. "I love you." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that. "I love you too." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that, before going to grab her shirt; after which, he started to take it off as he wanted it to be on the ground. Then, he would explain to her what he means; or actually, he would do it while he takes off her shirt. "Baby, talk to me. What are you talking about?" Matt sighed as he looked up at the woman he loves.
After which, he moved to put his hand on her neck and leaned in to kiss her softly. "Remember when we brought the boys home?" Gabby agreed with Matt. "Our first board meeting was the day after we brought them home. Now, I work the same day that we bring our girls home." Gabby agreed with Matt, before taking a breath. "And I'm sorry about that. It's no excuse but…" Taking a breath, Matt looked down. "I don't want to fail you, since this is a lot of money." Hearing Matt say that, Gabby put her hands on his face and then got close to him. Pressing her lips against his forehead, Gabby watched as Matt took off her shirt and threw it onto the ground; after which, she felt Matt rub her back. "Want me to take this off for you?" Gabby agreed with her husband, as she most certainly does.
"It should've never been put on."
Matt smirked as he heard Gabby say that, before moving to unclip her bra; after which, he helped her take it off while kissing her. And let's just say that this is exactly what Matt and Gabby both want. They want some time with each other, where they can just concentrate on being husband and wife; and right now, that's exactly what they're doing. They're concentrating on each other, as Matt ran his hands down Gabby's back and leaned in to kiss her softly; meanwhile, Gabby put her hands on his face and took things nice and slow with the woman he loves. "Listen, how about we get in bed? I want to cuddle up to my loving husband, as he holds me in our bed. We haven't really done that in a while." Matt smirked, before deciding to suggest something to his beautiful wife.
"Maybe we should stay in bed for a while, have people come to us."
Gabby smirked as Matt said that, as that most certainly is an idea. "I love that idea. We'll have to talk to our parents about that." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, kissing her once more as they took things nice and slow with each other; after which, Matt picked his beautiful wife up in his arms while wrapping his arm around her back. And damn did Gabby love that feeling, because it meant that she was about to be laid down in bed by the man she loves; and that most certainly is the truth, as Matt just opened the covers and laid his beautiful wife down in bed. "God, I don't remember the last time I did that for you." Gabby agreed with Matt as she looked up at her handsome husband, while also extending her hand. "How long before I get a chance to have you in bed with me again?"
Smirking, Matt leaned over Gabby before kissing her softly. "I just need a minute." Matt then proceeded to walk away in his boxers, while still carrying Gabby's bra; however, she was puzzled when it came to why he needed to walk away. That was, until she saw that he was setting her bra down in the hamper next to his dresser. The dresser that had his cologne on it, which is when she decided to make her request. "Armani." Turning to look at Gabby, Matt smirked and agreed with his beautiful wife as she asked him to put on some Armani cologne for her; but first, he grabbed his deodorant and put some on. "I can only assume that you like my Armani cologne?" Gabby agreed with Matt as he asked her that, especially since she was the one that bought it for him as a Christmas gift.
"Last time I checked, I was the one that bought you the subscription to that exact cologne for Christmas."
Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that, while picking up his cologne and going to put it on; after which, he set it back down and smiled as he then made his way over to the girls so that he could check on them. "Sorry, just want to check on them before I get in bed with you." Gabby shook her head as she heard Matt say that, as that most certainly was not something that she was going to stop him from doing. "Matt, you have no need to apologize for wanting to go check on your daughters." Matt smirked as he heard Gabby say that, before turning his head and looking at the woman he loves. "They aren't dating until they're at least sixteen." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that. "May I remind you that they are my daughters." Matt was confused as he heard Gabby say that.
"What does you being Bella and Sofia's mother have anything to do with them not dating until they're sixteen?"
Gabby smirked as she heard Matt ask her that, while also wagging her finger to get him to get close to her, which is exactly what Matt did, as he walked over to her in those tight boxers of his. After which, he proceeded to sit down next to Gabby on her side of their bed while putting his hand on her stomach; at the same time, Gabby put her hand on top of his and looked at her husband. That was, until she moved to reach up and put her hand on his face. "Baby, you do realize that us Dawson women don't exactly play by the rules. I mean, I did pine for an engaged man." Matt smirked as he heard Gabby say that, because she most certainly did, which was the best thing that she's ever done, and he will always be grateful that she did. And he showed her that, by bending down and kissing her.
And let's just say that Gabby was glad that he just kissed her, as she loves the feeling of his lips on hers; so much so, that she decided to put her hand on the side of his face and just keep him close to her. Leaning her forehead against his, Gabby smiled as she held the man she loves closes. "And if you hadn't done that, then maybe we wouldn't be here right now; with the best life that we could ever have, as parents to three beautiful children and the life we could've only ever dreamed of in Chicago." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before slipping over in bed, which was her way of telling the man she loves that she wants something, which would be for him to join her in bed. And that was exactly what Matt did as soon as she slipped over in bed, as he now had room to do just that.
Slipping close to her handsome husband after he got in bed with her this morning, Gabby smiled as she put her hands on his face and looked into those gorgeous eyes of his; the eyes that always made her melt, so that she's puddy in his hands. But now, she's just so enamored by the love that she feels for her husband that she doesn't even need to look into his eyes to just give in to him; because that's how things have been in between them, ever since they got back together permanently in September of 2018. And for them to get all of this in eighteen months, it's just incredible. "So, listen, there's actually another reason I wanted you to come join me in bed." Matt was a bit confused as he heard Gabby say that, just looking at the woman he loves. "What's going on babe?" Gabby smiled.
Because that's always a title that she loves to hear him call her, 'babe'. Because that's what she is, she's his babe; and she'll always be his babe, just like he'll always be the love of her life and the father of her children. "Well, it's just…this is really the first chance since everything's happened that we've gotten a chance to be alone; and I want to do something, because it's still a bit hard to think about." Matt looked at Gabby as she said that. "Are you talking about the little boy we lost Gabby? Are you finally ready to talk about it?" Looking at Matt, Gabby looked down as that was not what she was thinking about. "Oh." Gabby sighed. "I'm trying Matt, but I'm just not ready. It's still hard to talk about." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, well aware that was the case right now.
"Hey, then take a breath and don't worry about talking to me about it; we can do it later, when you're ready to talk about it."
Taking a breath, Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that; after which, she slipped close to him and wrapped her arms around his neck as that was what she needed to do right now. And just like she needed to cuddle up to him, Matt needed to wrap his arm around her and stroke her back with his thumb, while also leaving soft kisses on her shoulder. "Hey, it's okay baby. I'm right here, and we can talk about it when you're ready; don't worry about it, I mean it." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, while also leaning back and moving closer to her husband. She then wrapped her arms around his head and cuddled up to him, while Matt ran his hand (and wedding band) up and down her back, which most certainly helped Gabby relax, as she needs to do just that right now.
But she also needs to talk to Matt, which is exactly what she's going to do right now. "Sorry about the emotions." Matt shook his head as he heard Gabby apologize for being emotional, as that was the last thing that she needed to do. "Hey, don't even worry about that Gabby; you have no need to apologize, and I promise that everything is okay." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, while unwrapping her arms around his neck; she then put her hand on his face, and smiled at the man she loves. "So, do you want to talk about it?" Gabby sighed, as she looked down and nodded. "Do you mind?" Matt shook his head. "Gabby, the truth is that I've been waiting to talk to you about this ever since we gave birth to the girls; I know it's hard, but I think we need to talk about it."
Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case; especially since it was exactly what her therapist just said, after she spoke to her online. "Okay, I am going to say this because I have been meaning to yell you something; and I can't hide it anymore, now that we're home." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before going to tell her himself. "You've been going to a therapist online?" Gabby was a bit taken aback as she heard Matt say that, as she didn't think that he knew that she was going to a therapist online. "How did you know that?" Matt smiled as he looked at the woman he loves. "Gabby, I know it due to the fact that I know you. I know that you can only talk to certain people about things, and you're always calm; so, you had to talk to somebody." Gabby agreed.
Taking a breath, Matt just looked into her eyes. "While I would've liked it to be me, I can understand why; because I know that things are still hard to talk about with me, because you don't want to hurt me or set off my PTSD. And I also know that your relationship with Stella needs a lot of work, until you can start sharing details like that again; and I hope that someday, you can get back to a place where you can sweep things under the rug with her." Gabby took a breath as she looked at Matt. "Do you really think that will be possible? Or are you dreaming Matt? Because if you think that's ever going to happen, then you're dreaming so much…that you probably think that we actually did have triplets." Matt took a breath, as he knew that this was going to be a long conversation.
"Okay, remember to take a breath and take it easy baby; remember that you're still recovering from giving birth to the girls."
Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case; but at the same time, it didn't exactly help that he brought that up. "Matt, I still hope you heard me when I said that. I will never just sweep it under the rug, not when she's my best friend and caused me to go into premature labor; can you really do that, considering she could've killed our daughters? It's enough that we're still grieving a son." Matt took a breath as he heard Gabby say that, before agreeing with her as he wrapped his arm around Gabby; he then brought her close to him and cuddled up to her as she wrapped her arms around him. Meanwhile, Matt moved his hand to the back of her head and leaned in so that he could kiss her softly. "I'm sorry Gabby, that was so insensitive of me." Gabby agreed.
Because that's exactly what it was, but that didn't mean that she was ready to start a fight with Matt; not when she likes being in bed with him, which is exactly what she's doing right now. She's cuddling up to the man she loves in bed, as they held each other close; with her hand in his, Gabby stroked it with her thumb and smiled. "Are we okay after I said that?" Gabby agreed with Matt as he asked her whether they were okay, which they most certainly were okay. "We're okay, I promise." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, glad that was the case as he leaned in and proceeded to kiss her softly. And boy does he love the feeling of her soft lips on his. "God, I love the feeling of your lips on mine." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, well aware that was the case.
After all, she feels the same way when they share a kiss; she absolutely loves the feeling of his lips on hers, which is the entire reason why she kisses him as much as she can. "I'm glad that we shared that kiss too, because it's very nice." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, well aware that's the case. "Oh, I know that; and I'm glad that we didn't start a fight there, because that's the last thing I want to do right now. I don't want to fight with you, and I just want to hold you close like I am right now." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, glad that he wants to hold her like this; especially since this is what she wants. "So, listen, can we get back to the topic we started with?" Matt took a breath and agreed with Gabby as she said that, while intertwining their fingers.
But he soon decided that he needed something else, which would be for Gabby to be right against him again; while at the same time, he would have his arm around her. "Can you come close?" Gabby agreed with Matt, doing just that for the man she loves; meanwhile, Matt wrapped his arm around her and smiled as they both held each other close. "Now, this is perfect." Gabby smiled as she heard the man she loves say that, well aware that was the case; after all, there's nothing like the feeling of them holding each other close like this. "So, listen, right now we're talking about this. The baby we lost." Gabby took a breath as she heard Matt say that, hating that they have to deal with this once again; but she also knows that they need to do this, they need to talk about this with each other.
If not, they're going to grow apart. "First, I want to say this. Gabby, I am determined that we are not going to be like other couples; couples that loose a child and grow apart. Gabby, we already did that twice; that isn't us, and we aren't going to do it a third time." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before stroking his hand with her thumb. "Matt, can you promise me something?" Matt agreed with Gabby. "Promise me that we deal with it together, rather than apart? I don't want to loose you when we have four kids." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, as that most certainly is something that they can both agree on; the fact that they want to be together for the rest of their lives, and that they want to raise their children as husband-and-wife. But he doesn't like using kids.
At least, when it comes to the reason why they don't want to grow apart. "Gabby, no." Gabby just looked at Matt as he said that. "Excuse me?" Taking a breath, Matt looked at his wife. "Gabby, we don't want to loose each other because we love each other; please don't bring the kids into his, because they are a product of our love. We don't want to loose each other, because we love each other." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, as that most certainly is the truth. "Well, I like that much better." Matt smirked as he heard Gabby say that, while also stroking her hand with his thumb some more. However, that was only for a bit; as Gabby soon returned to her former position, which was right in front of him with her hands on his face. And boy, did Matt love this wonderful feeling.
This feeling of his beautiful wife close to him, as they both held each other close. "Now, this is something that I like." Gabby agreed with Matt as she kissed him softly, while running her finger down his cheekbone. "Then promise me that you don't work for a bit, because I want this time with you; since we started the company, you have been all about the company. And I would like to have some time with you just being my husband, if that's okay." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, as that most certainly is more than okay; especially since that's exactly what he just spoke to Rafael about. "Rafael just offered to do that. He said that he can be the CEO, while I'm just the Chairman of the Board." Gabby smiled, as she liked the sound of that. "Maybe for now." Matt agreed.
After all, he loves what it means. "Means that I get to be home with our family more often, because that's what I want. The truth is, I would much rather be at home with you and the kids." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before looking into his eyes. "Maybe you can even work on some projects that I Know you really want to work on, stuff you're passionate about and have been asking others to work on." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that, as that most definitely is something that he can see himself doing. "Well, I think that I could definitely see myself doing that. Maybe the first job I can do, is helping my wife with a project. Maybe we can do a project together, one that is entirely our creation; but that is funded and distributed by Casey." Gabby agreed with Matt, smiling.
"I love that idea, but not yet; not when I want to do something else right now." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, but he just didn't know what that might be. "And what might that be?" Gabby smiled as she looked at her muscular husband. "I want to cuddle up to my husband as I recover from the trauma that I experienced in the hospital." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that. "Are you in pain right now? The doctor did say that you can keep taking those pain meds, even though you were released from the hospital for a while." Gabby took a breath. "Yeah, I think that removing the baby fat wasn't the best idea when I thought about it." Looking down at her body, Matt smiled as he looked at his beautiful wife. "I have to say, you look great though." Gabby agreed with Matt.
At the same time, he bent down and proceeded to kiss the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "I love you." Moving her hand to Matt's neck, Gabby agreed as she loves him too. "I love you too Matt, but can you please get me some pain meds?" Matt agreed with Gabby as she asked him that. "I'll be right back." Rolling over, Matt smiled as he proceeded to get up so that he can go get her the pain meds that she wants.
