Hi Readers: Before we begin, I want to apologize for not having updated until now; but I decided to do something else today, which would have been to try and write another story. But I decided not to, as I just couldn't get the idea to stick. So, this is going to be my full-time story once more; and I am going to get you guys more chapters tomorrow, I promise you that right now.
Chapter Three Hundred and Three
Pain Meds and Comfort Cuddles
Walking out of the bathroom with some pain meds for Gabby, Matt smiled as he looked at the most beautiful woman in the entire world; but at the same time, he also knew that she was also something else. And that would be in pain, because he could see the signs. The signs that she was in pain, and in much more pain than she was telling him, which is typical for Gabby, as he knew that she liked to portray that she's strong rather than vulnerable. But that's the last thing that he wants her to do, as he wants her to be honest with him when it comes to how much pain she's in; that way, he can help her and get her pain medicine if she needs it. And he actually can't help but wonder whether this was another reason why she didn't want him to work today, which he definitely shouldn't have.
And there's a reason for that, which is due to the fact that she's in pain. "I made a huge mistake today." Turning her head as she heard her husband say that, Gabby was confused as to just what he was talking about. "What are you talking about?" Matt sighed as he made his way over to Gabby with the pain medicine, and the glass of water that he also got for the woman he loves. "Well, based on how much pain I can see you're in…" Gabby looked at her husband as he said that, as she didn't want to hear that. "If you're going to tell me that we shouldn't have left the hospital, then you can get dressed and go take care of the boys." Matt snickered as he heard Gabby say that, as that most certainly was not what he was going to say; but if she wants him to do that, then he will do just that.
No, but seriously; he was instead going to tell his wife that he regrets working at all today, as he can see that she's in pain. "No, it's not that." Gabby agreed with Matt as she watched the man she loves make his way over to her, after which he gave her the medicine that he got for her. "Here, open your hand." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before doing as she was told; after which, Matt proceeded to set the pain med down in her hand so that she could take it. And she did just that, just as soon as she could; because after all, that was what she needed right now. She needed relief from the pain that she was dealing with at the moment, so that means that she needs to take this medicine right now. "I hope that works." Giving Gabby her water, Matt agreed with his wife.
Meanwhile, Gabby reached up to grab the water and then proceeded to take a sip of it; after all, that was exactly what she needed to do. She needed to drink her water, and she needed to make sure that she felt better; because that's what she needs to do, in case the girls need her. But at the same time, she also knows that it'll take her a while to feel better. And that's why she wanted the pain med now, while also cuddling up to her husband, which is something else that will definitely make her feel better, just as soon as he's back in bed with her. "So, do you want me to get you anything? Or would you rather I get in bed with you right now?" Gabby smiled as Matt asked her what she wanted him to do, and that most certainly was not anything related to him being away from her today.
Not when he can instead be here with her in bed, holding her close as he makes her feel better. "Believe me, that's exactly where I want you to be, as I most certainly do not want you to be anywhere other than in bed with me." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before moving to sit down next to her. "But first, we need to talk about something." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, while feeling him reach for her hand; after which, she intertwined their fingers and looked at the man she loves more than anything. "So, what do you need to talk to me about?" Matt sighed. "Just how you've been lying about how in pain you've been." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, as that most certainly was exactly what she was doing; she was lying about how much in pain she was.
"I just wanted to portray that I was strong, and that…" Looking at his wife as she said that, Matt was shocked. "Gabby, are you kidding me?" Looking down, Gabby felt ashamed; but that wasn't how Matt wanted her to feel right now, which was why he pushed her head up and stared into her eyes. "Hey, look at me." Gabby agreed with her husband as he said that, well aware that he's going to want to talk to her right now. But I mean, what do you expect? He doesn't want his wife to be in pain, not when there's something that she can do to avoid the pain. "Gabby, I love you. And the last thing I want is for you to be in pain." Getting close to Gabby, Matt put his hand on the side of her head and then proceeded to kiss her cheek softly. "Gabby, you need to put yourself first." Gabby agreed with Matt.
After which, she turned her head and looked at the man she loves. "And Gabby, taking pain meds doesn't mean that you're weak; rather, it shows that you're human…because even new moms need to take pain meds, because you did just that at the hospital." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before taking a breath. "And I regret that." Matt was confused as he heard Gabby say that she regrets being on pain meds right after giving birth to the girls, as he doesn't understand why she would regret that. "Hey, why do you regret that Gabby?" Taking a breath, Gabby looked into Matt's eyes. "Matt, I barely remember the early days of the girls' lives." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, well aware that was the case; but he can also see that she feels guilty about it, but she shouldn't.
She shouldn't feel guilty whatsoever about the fact that she doesn't remember the first few days of the girls' lives, when he's the same way; he can barely remember what it was like, as there was so much going on that day. He had part of his family in the hospital, and that meant that he was so worried; add in the fact that Noah later got hurt and was admitted to the hospital, and it's all a blur to him. And that was why Gabby had nothing to worry about when it came to not remembering anything. "Baby, you have nothing to feel guilty about." Gabby just looked at Matt as he said that. "Matt…" Matt then got close to Gabby, putting his hand on her side while cuddling up to her. "Hey, look at me." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before opening her arms to give him a quiet message.
And that message would be that she wants to be in bed, before they talk about this; and let's just say that Matt is more than okay with them getting in bed with each other, before they talk. And that's exactly what he's going to tell Gabby, as he moved his hand to her neck and leaned over her; after which, he proceeded to kiss her softly. "I love you." Gabby agreed with Matt, before kissing him once again this morning; meanwhile, Matt took things nice and slow with the woman he loves. But only for a moment, as he still wanted to get in bed with Gabby; that way, he can hold her in his arms as they cuddle up to each other in bed. Because right now, that's exactly where Matt needs to be. He needs to be in bed with the woman he loves, holding her close as they cuddle up to each other and talk.
Wrapping his arm around Gabby as soon as he was in bed with her, Matt smiled as he was very comfortable as he held her close to him; after all, this is exactly what he wants to be doing right now. He wants to be holding his beautiful wife close to him, as they cuddle up to each other in bed and just relax; because that's exactly what Gabby needs to do right now, she needs to relax and recover from giving birth to the girls. And if that means that she needs to take pain medicine, then that makes her human; and it most certainly doesn't make her weak, which is something that Matt is going to make sure that she understands as he talks to her today. But before talking to her, he decided to turn his head and kiss her forehead softly. "Okay, so I want to talk to you about something."
Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. "No, I didn't know that when you're in bed with me like this." Turning his head, Matt proceeded to grab the covers and tugged them up on top of the both of them; at the same time, he turned his head and smiled as he leaned in and kissed the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "I love you." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that he loves her, as that most certainly is a sentiment that she shares with her husband; she loves him more than anything, and she's very proud to be his wife. "I love you too, and I am very proud to be your wife." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby tell him that she's proud to be his wife, before telling her the same (but with the right genders). "And me, your husband."
Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that, while reaching for his hand and intertwining their fingers; after which, Matt turned his head and kissed her forehead softly (which is exactly what Gabby wanted him to do, as it makes her extremely happy). After all, what's better than the feeling of your loving husband's soft lips on your skin? Well, maybe if it was while you were making love to each other; but right now, they're resting as they recuperate after being in the hospital for a while. Well, that, and they're also making sure that they take it easy during COVID. Because the last thing that they want, is to catch COVID. But right now, that's not what she's worried about; rather, she's just comfortable and taking it nice and easy with her incredible husband. The man she loves, and who loves her.
And they will always love each other, and she knows that due to the fact that they're each other's love of their lives. "I hope you know that you're the love of my life Matt." Smiling as he heard Gabby say that, Matt turned his head and looked down at his beautiful wife; after which, he bent down and proceeded to kiss the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "I love you too, and I am very proud to call you my wife." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before running her hand down his chest; after which, she kissed it softly. "Want me to lay down in bed some more? So that you can lay down on my chest, like you were before I got up to go get you some pain meds?" Gabby agreed with Matt, as that was exactly what she wanted; she wanted to lay down on his chest.
Cuddling up to Matt once she was laying down on his chest, Gabby smiled as she ran her hand up and down his chest as this most certainly is exactly what she wants to do with the love of her life; she wants to lay down on his chest, as they cuddle up to each other and rest in bed. And even better, Matt currently has his legs wrapped around hers. And damn, is that really comfortable; and it will always be comfortable, as she knows that this will always be her life; a life that she gets to share with Matt, and all of their beautiful children. But right now, she just needs to concentrate on resting and taking it easy as she recovers from giving birth to the girls. "God, I am so comfortable as I lay down on your chest like this." Matt agreed with Gabby, as he bent down and kissed the top of her head.
"I can only imagine just how comfortable you are. Oh wait, I can as you're currently running your hand all over my chest; and you're also laying down with your head on my heart, which is all I need to see to know that you're comfortable as we hold each other in bed."
Gabby snickered as she heard Matt say that, before moving her hand to his chest again; at the same time, Matt moved his hand on top of hers as they cuddled up to each other in bed. And let's just say that this truly is exactly what the couple want to do with each other right now, as it's extremely comfortable; and Matt is very happy that he and Gabby are home, with all of their beautiful children. "You happy that we're home?" Turning her head to look up at Matt, Gabby laughed as she thought that was a trick question. "Oh, I most certainly am. However, I do have a question." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that. "And what's that?" Looking around, Gabby then started to wonder where Andy was. "Where's Andy?" Matt then started to wonder the same thing, as he can't see him here.
And since he couldn't see him, he decided to whistle for him; while at the same time, he also said his name. "Andy, come here boy!" And that was when they found out where Andy was, which was in Matt and Gabby's closet. "What were you doing in there boy?" Seeing him drag his bed out of the closet, Matt soon realized that he didn't have his bed out here. "Oh." Setting his bed down, Andy then yipped a bit; and Matt already knew what that was about, he wanted him to get up and set it up. "I need to go do that for Andy." Gabby agreed with her husband as he said that, well aware that was the case. "Oh, I know you do. And you can go do just that." Matt agreed with Gabby as she moved off his chest; after which, he got up out of bed so that he could set Andy's bed up this morning.
"I'm sorry boy, I seem to have forgotten all about your things. Well, at least your bed. Here, give me your bed and I can put it where you like it. How does that sound? Then you can take a nice nap, just like we're probably going to do today."
Andy agreed with Matt as he said that, while also watching as he grabbed the dog bed from him; after which, Matt brought it to where he always puts it for Andy. And that would be on his side of the bed, right next to his side table; that way, he doesn't need to climb on top of Gabby if he needs to get in bed with him and wake him up in the middle of the night. But at the same time, he also knew something else; and that would be that Gabby wants him to lay down on this side of the bed instead now. "Do you want me to lay down on this side of the bed now?" Gabby snickered as Matt asked her that question. "Yes, and I want you to stay in bed please, because I want to be comfortable in our bed. A bed that I've missed being able to cuddle up to my loving husband in." Matt agreed.
After all, he felt the same way; he's wanted to cuddle up to his beautiful wife in their bed ever since they got into the hospital, because it's the most comfortable bed that he's ever…and will ever sleep in. And that's due to the fact that it's their marital bed, and the bed where they conceived their daughters; however, it was not the same bed as when they conceived the boys. And that was due to the fact that they got a new bedroom set when they moved here to Hawaii, as it was easier than have to bring it here; it's a long flight, and they didn't want to have to bring too much. So, they just sold most of their things in Chicago; and then they started fresh here, which is why they have Teslas instead of his pickup. And while he thought of getting a pickup, he decided against it as he likes his Tesla.
It's a really nice vehicle, and it's very comfortable to drive; especially when he's driving around Honolulu, which is not a big island. Plus, the only place that he really ever drives is to the office or the grocery store; and even then, that's only once in a blue moon due to the fact that their moms always do the groceries for them (with the credit card which he provided to them). But as we said before, that's not what Matt needs to concentrate on right now; rather, he needs to concentrate on getting back in bed with the woman he loves. But first, maybe a quick kiss with the woman he loves so that he can make her feel better; and that's exactly what Matt went for as he leaned over Gabby and put his hands on her face. "So, I don't know if I welcomed you home properly." Gabby smirked.
"No, I don't think you did Mr. Casey."
Smiling as he heard Gabby say that, Matt bent down and proceeded to kiss the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "I love you." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that he loves her, a sentiment that she not only already knew that he felt for her; but at the same time, she also feels the same way about him. After all, he is the love of her life; and the only man that she will ever be with. She's already almost lost him once, and she's determined to never have that happen again. "Okay, so how long are you going to make me wait before you actually get back in bed with me?" Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that, well aware that she was very much interested in having him in bed with her once more; and honestly, he felt the same way when it came to being in bed.
He wants to be in bed with her again, and just hold her in his arms as they cuddle up to each other; after all, that's the most comfortable way for them to be with each other. For them to be holding each other close and cuddling up to each other in bed. And right now, they're about to do that once more, which is the exact reason Matt just opened the covers once more and proceeded to climb into bed with his beautiful wife. "Move over, so that I can lay down; then you can lay down on my chest again." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, as that most certainly is exactly what she wants to do. She wants to lay down on his chest and cuddle up to the most amazing man in the entire world, who she is incredibly proud to call her husband. Heck, lucky to call her husband.
She knows that already, that she's lucky to call him her husband; and she will never be convinced by anybody that she isn't lucky to call him her husband. As much as Matt says that he doesn't want to hear that she's lucky to have him as her husband, she'll continue to say it. "Thanks for getting me the pain meds." Laying down in bed and getting nice and comfortable, Matt agreed with Gabby as that was something that he could've done for her when she first started feeling pain. "Baby, I hate that you were even in pain for a while; the last thing I want for you is to be in pain, when it's due to the fact that you gave birth to the girls." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, as that most certainly is something that is puzzling to her; how it can hurt so much, to do something so miraculous.
"Don't you find it a bit weird that doing something so miraculous, would hurt a woman so much when we're the only people that can do it?"
Thinking about it, Matt agreed with Gabby; after all, that most certainly is something that he wonders. He wonders just why it would hurt so much for them to be doing that to women. "And I really hate that it hurts you so much, as it isn't fair to you to have to deal with that baby." Gabby agreed with Matt, and just smiled as she cuddled up to her incredible husband; the husband who was really making her feel better right now, simply due to the fact that he was holding her in his arms. "So, how was your meeting today?" Running his hand up and down her back as she asked him that, Matt snickered as he highly doubts that she really wants to know the answer to that question. "Do you really want to know the answer to that question?" Gabby shook her head, as she didn't.
She was just trying to make conversation. "No, I was just trying to make conversation with you." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, well aware that was the case. "I had a feeling that was the case." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt tell her that, well aware that he always knows her so well. "I love that you know me so well." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before turning his head and kissing the top of her head. "You do realize that we've known each other for a decade, right babe? I know we haven't been together for a decade yet, but we will make it there; I am determined to make it to a decade as your husband." Turning her head to look up at Matt said that, Gabby gave him a bit of side ye. "Just a decade?" Matt smirked as Gabby asked him that question.
"Let me rephrase that, I plan on being with you until the day you die in my arms."
Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, but at the same time she didn't want to think about that. "Okay, can we agree to not talk about death right now baby?" Matt agreed with Gabby as he turned his head and looked down at his wife. "Especially considering we're in the middle of a pandemic." Turning his head, Matt then proceeded to kiss Gabby's forehead softly. "Do you think that we're going to get through this unscathed Matt?" Turning his head, Matt was confused as he heard Gabby say that. "What are you talking about baby?" Gabby sighed as she turned her head and looked up at the man she loves once more. "Matt, we're going to be inside much more; we might fight more, and a whole lot more." Matt agreed with Gabby, before moving to kiss her forehead.
"I am determined that we will settle our differences with compromises, and by talking; because the last thing I want, is to have to be away from my rock when I'm going to need her more than ever now."
Looking at Matt, Gabby was a bit confused. "What are you talking about baby?" Matt sighed as he looked down into Gabby's eyes. "I have a new PTSD event." Gabby looked into Matt's eyes as he said that, already well aware of just what event he's talking about; after which, she laid down and bent down to kiss his chest softly. "Sorry." Moving his hand to Gabby's back, Matt ran his hand (and wedding band) up and down her spine. "Oh, now that's a feeling that I love more than anything." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, well aware that was the case; but at the same time, he does need to talk to Gabby about this. "Gabby, I need you to promise me that you just take it easy for a while. I know you're out of the hospital but…I'm going to be really cautious, and worried about you."
Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, but at the same time; she couldn't help but wonder something, something related to the reason why he might have worked a bit today. "Matt, I need to ask you a question." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, while also running his hand up and down her back; after which, he bent down and kissed the top of her head. "You can always ask me a question Gabby, so go ahead." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before taking a breath and asking him the question.
"Were you working today to try and change your mind, because you're still thinking of what you saw at the office? When I went into labor?"
