These are but tiny 100-word snippets of their lives, told one a day, every day, in 2023. Newest chapter: Mina Ashido is a vivacious hero in training. 20. Uwabami

A.N. — My first commenter at AO3 (NotBurgerKing) wanted Uwabami. So, even though her birthday is very far away (Dec. 9), she gets spotlighted here. I will break from scheduled birthdays if someone asks... just not on the main characters, probably.

20. Uwabami

When UA informed Uwabami that her services as a hero internship mentor were no longer needed, she was stunned. What were they on about? Yaoyorozu and Kendo had their profiles raised during their time with her, so what was the issue? Uwabami would've (metaphorically) killed for the same opportunity when she was in high school.

Turns out, parading unpaid minors around on television to peddle beauty products was frowned upon at best. Admitting to her interns that their looks factored into their selection in the first place looked bad, in retrospect. Still, UA saying Uwabami valued celebrity over integrity stung.
