23. Tatami Nakagame (Turtle Neck)

A.N. — The few named Ketsubutsu students, like today's character, are introduced during the provisional licensing exam. So a lot of their drabbles will be about aspects of that. But for this person, I get to follow on a bit from yesterday's chapter. I've got four free days until the next sorta-big name, so get any requests in!

23. Tatami Nakagame/Turtle Neck

He called himself Jailbreaker, but Turtle Neck felt his old moniker of Muscular was more apt. Tatami reflexively wanted to activate her quirk, but tamped it down. The civilians needed evacuating.

Tatami wished she'd at least drawn her head in as she watched the masses ignore her orders and charge into danger, all to save someone that should've been saving them. Her normally tactically-minded partner, Yo, had stupidly faced Jailbreaker alone, and now she had to bear witness. Turtle Neck, the hero, knew she needed to act. Tatami, the scared student, quailed at seeing her boyfriend in mortal peril.
