A.N. — I've yet to mention the tags at ff.n here in the notes, mainly because they are so lacking compared to the Harry Potter ones that I made a point over complaining about. But Native yesterday not being there was surprising. On another note, the tags at AO3 differ in their spelling from the Ultra Analysis book, which is where I'm getting all my birthdays from.

32. Koji Koda/Anima

When others ostracized Koji because of his mutation, the animals were there. If he got made fun of when his (human) words failed him, creatures comforted him. Every insult visited upon Koji would be dished back by attendant critters, all for their audience of one.

Nature doted upon the awkwardly large, quiet boy, who seemed carved more of stone than flesh. It loved him, even when those in his life failed to do so. Despite his hard exterior, Koi was soft within. He liked those who didn't hurt him, and strove to be a hero who soothed with his voice.
