Lynn was in a cell as she groaned. Her ex-teammates entered the cell block and saw her.
"Hey guys, come to bail me out?" Lynn asked.
"We saw the news." Paula said.
"And frankly, you deserve to be here." Margo says. "You totally went out of line, attacking Lucy and Luke like that."
"I was trying to get Lucy out of there. Is she okay?" Lynn asked.
"Since when do you show concern for your siblings' well being?!" Maddie asks Lynn.
"Yeah! From what was seen on the news, you were telling Lucy you wanted her to leave the place she was at so she wouldn't catch the 'bad luck', which we all know isn't a DISEASE!" Nadia screams at Lynn. "You went WAY too far!"
"I'm sorry." Lynn says.
"Sorry doesn't sweeten my tea or cut my bagel." Nadia says. "Your belief in luck TORE YOUR FAMILY APART!"
"I know. Everyone said that. Also, I never really liked Luke." Lynn says, crossing her arms.
"Your dad died." Paula says as Lynn's eyes widened.
"WHAT?!" Lynn asked, in shock.
"It's true. He hung himself." Maddie says.
Lynn began to sob.
Meanwhile, Luke wakes up as it was his half-birthday.
Luke sits up in bed and stretches, then goes downstairs. Upon coming down, he sees that no one had remembered this day, so he shuffles off to the living room and sits on the couch. Luke starts to cry.
Luna and Lucy were planning a surprise for Luke.
"E-Everyone f-forgot L-Luke…." Luke says as he lays on the couch, sniffling and shedding tears.
Lucy soon goes to Luke.
"Hey, Luke…" Lucy says.
"GO AWAY! I HATE YOU!" Luke hissed. Lucy frowned a bit.
"I have a surprise for you…." Lucy says.
Luke crossed his arms as Lucy led him to the dining room table. She and Luna made Luke a half-birthday breakfast.
Luke looks surprised. "H-Huh?! W-What is this?"
"Happy half-birthday, Luke!" Luna says, presenting Luke with a plate of blackberry pancakes.
Luke smiles and sits down.
"Thanks, Luna…" Luke says as he begins to eat the pancakes.
Luna decided to eat, too.
Meanwhile, the Louds and McBrides were having breakfast as the Louds were really depressed.
"I haven't made a pun in a long time…. " Luan says.
"What's the point? We're basically outcasts with parents who gave up on us." Lola says.
Lisa cries upon hearing that. Lori holds Lisa.
"We have to stay strong." Lincoln says
"Easy for you to say. You've got a friend." Lana says.
"A friend who took us in when things started to get worse! You should be grateful you were somewhere safe last night!" Lincoln snapped. "Our parents gave up on us because you chose to side with Lynn, who is in a jail cell right now! She tricked us into believing that Luke was bad luck! Thanks to her, our family is just us now!"
"Lincoln, shouting won't get us anywhere." Lori says.
"Maybe if some of you would just be grateful for what you have now, I wouldn't have to yell." Lincoln says.
"Lincoln, can we just change the subject?" Lori asks, wanting to leave it at that as Lisa was tearing up.
"Okay." Lincoln says.
Luna decided to take Luke out for his half-birthday. Lucy decided to tag along since she had no plans.
They first go to the park as they meet up with Sam. Luke starts to sulk some time later.
"You hungry, lil' bro?" Luna asked.
Luke sniffled and nodded as Luna took him to Burpin' Burger for lunch.
"Why is today special?" Sam asks Luna.
"It's his half birthday. Luke isn't like everyone else, because he usually celebrates his half birthday in June, then he has 2 birthday parties on and a day or two after his actual birthday. I didn't ask why though, so we just went with it." Luna says.
Sam smiles. "Our family does the same with Simon. We just celebrated his half-birthday in March. His actual birthday is on Halloween."
"Sigh." Lucy sighed. Her birthday is on the 30th of October, but like usual, no one really notices.
They soon head to the mall. Luke was window shopping as he pointed at an Ace Savvy train set. "I want that train set, please." Luke says.
"Okay." Luna says and goes in to buy the train set, later returning with it.
Luke grins and hugs Luna. "Thank you!" Luke says.
"Anything for my favorite bro!" Luna says.
Luna continues walking with Luke and Sam. Luke sees a PS5 and points at it.
"I want the PS5, please." Luke says.
"I thought you had one already." Luna says.
Luke sees a DLC pack for his favorite game.
"I want this instead." Luke says to Luna.
Luna nods and buys the DLC pack for Luke. "There you go, Luke." Luna says with a smile.
"Thank you!" Luke says and goes and sees a new pageant outfit and squealed.
"I want that outfit!" Luke squealed.
Luna gets it for him. "Here you go!" Luna says.
"Thank you, Luna Lunes!" Luke says.
Meanwhile with Rita, she sits in her father's living room, still trying to take in all that happened. Her ex-husband had hung himself and one of her daughters was in jail. She also wondered if the other kids were okay.
"You wanna check on the kids?" Albert asked.
"What if they hate me for leaving them?" Rita asks.
"They will be mad, but it's your choice." Albert says, secretly wanting her to do it as he really wanted to see Lincoln and Lisa again.
"Okay, I'll do it." Rita tells Albert.
"That's my girl." Albert says, smiling.
We cut to a montage of Luna buying Luke some new stuff. Luna was taking pictures of Luke while Lucy just sat by herself writing poems.
Luke smiles. "This is the best day ever!"
"Yeah. And to think, this is half of what will come in December." Lucy says still writing poems.
Meanwhile Charity was setting Luke's party up. It had an Ace Savvy theme, as that was what Luke loved.
"Luke will love this!" Charity says. She notices Luna, Luke, and Lucy are coming and tells Luke's friends to hide.
Luke is seen crying against Luna outside the house.
"It's okay, I'm sure they remembered, Luke…" Luna says.
Luke sniffs. "They probably forgot again…like last year…"
They entered the house. The lights turned on as everyone jumped out at Luke.
Luke gasps in shock.
"SURPRISE!" Everyone says.
Luke sniffs, looking surprised. "Awwww, you guys…."
Luke hugged his friends and mom.
"Happy half birthday, sweetie." Charity says as she hugs Luke back.
Luke smiled. "Thanks, Mom."
"Let's party!" Luna says, putting a party hat on Luke's head.
Luke smiles once all the attention is on him.
Lincoln and Clyde were playing video games.
Lisa sees Rita drive by.
"Mommy!" Lisa says pointing at the window
"We know you've said that 16 times already." Lola says.
Rita knocks on the door with Albert. Howard answers the door.
"Mommy!" Lisa sobbed, running to Rita with tears.
"Lisa!" Rita picks her up and holds her.
Lola turned her back on Rita as everyone else ran over to hug her.
"Some mother…" Lola scoffed.
"Pop-Pop brought me here to see all of you. How are you kids doing? Are the McBrides taking good care of you?" Rita asks them.
"Yeah." Lori says.
"Take us back!" Leni sobbed as Lola stormed off.
Lincoln finally gets fed up with Lola's snobby attitude and grabs a hairbrush.
Lola sees this and runs from Lincoln in fear as she leaves the house.
"Sis, wait!" Lana says.
"Why?" Lola says scared.
"Just come back…" Lana says as Lola slapped Lana's hand. "You'll all ditch me too!" Lola screamed and ran off as Lana looked stunned.
"What have I done? I abandoned my kids when they needed me most…" Rita sobbed.
Albert hugs Rita. "I'll stay with you and the kids. The police said you all could return to your house. I plan to keep you company and help take care of the kids." He says. "You need a lot of help and support right now."
"Later, Clyde." Lincoln says.
"Later, Lincoln." Clyde says as Lincoln leaves with Rita, Albert, and his siblings.
They head home and see some messes. They notice Lola had run away.
At the party, Luke is hissing at his friends because they didn't get him gifts.
"YOU FAILED LUKE!" Luke screamed as he was mad. "WORST DAY EVER!" Luke screamed.
Luke's friends feel really guilty and ashamed.
Luke sobbed. "I'm not happy!"
"Luke, we're really sorry!" Garrett says as Luke threw a tantrum.
Luke was sobbing as Lucy gave him her gift, and he opened it to reveal a journal. He smiled and hugged Lucy, thanking her for the gift.
Meanwhile, Lola had run all the way to town. Lana soon finds her.
"Leave me alone." Lola says, holding a ticket and her stuff.
"Sis, I'm not going to abandon you. I never have and I never will. You know this." Lana says. "I can't let you leave…."
" I can't stay with you, Lana, I'm sorry." Lola says.
"Why?" Lana says.
"I can't trust anyone…" Lola says, tearing up. "But….I'll stay with you." Lola tells Lana.
Lana then hugs Lola and takes her back home.
"My baby!" Rita says, hugging Lola. Lola really didn't trust her, but didn't fight back or move. Lola then hugs Rita back.
Meanwhile, Luke doesn't see a cake anywhere. He starts sobbing as he leaves the dining room and runs upstairs.
"Luke, wait!" Charity says.
"Why?!" Luke hisses.
"The cake is in the oven, honey…" Charity says.
Luke starts to feel upset.
"First, my friends didn't get me any gifts! Now there isn't a cake! What kind of celebration is this?!" Luke says, crying.
He then shuts himself in the hall closet, angry.
"It's my fault, I shouldn't have bothered helping with that first cake." Lucy says as she did screw up on the first cake as Charity had to remake it. Charity holds Lucy and reassures her.
Luke still sits in the closet.
"He'll never forgive me…." Lucy says as the cake just finished. Charity goes off to prepare the cake.
Luke comes out and just drags himself upstairs.
A few moments later, Luna knocks on Luke's door.
Luke sniffs. "What do you want?" He says to Luna.
"We have a surprise for you, Luke." Luna says.
Luna leads Luke down as Lucy turns off the lights. Luke looks confused as the lights soon come back on.
"What's going on?" Luke asked.
He soon sees everyone around a big cake.
"What is this?!" Luke asks, surprised as can be.
"Your cake, of course!" Colleen says.
Luke doesn't know what to think of it. Lucy lit the candles on the blue velvet cake as Luke watched quietly.
Everyone began to sing. Luke still stands before the cake, silent.
" Happy half-birthday to you! Happy half-birthday to you! Happy half-birthday dear Luke! Happy half-birthday to you!" Everyone sang.
Luke smiles. "Thanks, everyone…."
"Make a wish! Make a wish!" Luke's friends chant excitedly.
Luke thinks hard of a wish as he watches the candles burn. 3 minutes pass, and he still doesn't have a wish.
Luke started to feel upset.
"Sweetie, what's wrong?" Charity asks him.
"Luke doesn't have a wish! Luke isn't happy here!" Luke sobbed as he noticed the candles were still lit, but the half candle was partially melted into the cake.
"Sweetie….just make whatever wish you want." Charity says to Luke. "I know it'll come true."
Luke makes his wish and blows out the candles. He then starts stabbing the cake.
"Luke, it's okay, just calm down." Lucy says.
"Luke is done stabbing the cake…" Luke says.
Luke tastes it. "It's a good cake…" He says.
Luna soon takes a slice. Luke smiles at this.
"This is really good." Luna says.
Meanwhile, with Rita and the kids, it was their turn to visit Lynn in jail.
Lisa was extremely nervous about this.
"She is behind bars. She can't hurt us if she's behind bars." Lori says.
However, Lisa couldn't calm down and looking at Lynn brought horrible images to her head.
"What were you thinking?! You knew Lucy had a heart condition and you hurt Luke." Rita says
Lynn looked down in shame.
"I'm sorry." Lynn says.
"SORRY IS ALL YOU CAN SAY?! You caused our dad's death!" Lola screamed.
"It's OK, I forgive you." Leni says.
Lynn smiled. "Thanks, Leni." Lynn says.
Luke is still hissing at his friends as they sit around the couch, just looking at him.
"You didn't get me presents! That makes you bad friends!" Luke hissed.
Garrett tries to tell Luke why they didn't get him any gifts, but Luke wasn't having it.
"You failed me!" Luke hissed.
"We wanted to wait until December…." Stephen says.
"Oh. In that case, all is well." Luke says now excited for December.

Luke was eating his cake in joy.
"You're so happy!" Charity says to Luke.
Luke giggled with joy.
