A world with quirks means its people are wind up rather quirky. Whether heroes, villains, or somewhere in-between, every BnHA character deserves to have their story told. These are but tiny 100-word snippets of their lives, told one a day, every day, in 2023. Newest chapter: Mina Ashido is a vivacious hero in training. 34. Anan Kurose (Thirteen)

A.N. — I had a few different directions I could've taken today's drabble. I tried humor with my first attempt, with Kurose thinking her quirk was fated to suck in all the words around her so she could regurgitate them via ramble, a la Midoriya. I feel this one's tone is more spot-on. Still, happy birthday Thirteen!

34. Anan Kurose/Thirteen

Anan Kurose had spent her life dreaming of the stars, but was intimately familiar with what watching the light going out of someone's eyes was like. A puffy spacesuit and a mild-mannered personality still couldn't disguise that Thirteen wielded quite possibly the most destructive quirk to ever exist. She tried her best not to think about it.

She spearheaded the USJ's creation so UA could guide future heroes on the rescue path she had chosen, hoping that benevolence would make the public overlook the terrible power cradled in her hands. It still didn't ease the burden on Kurose's conscience, though.

A.N. 2 — This site's tags for BnHA characters are sorely lacking, but today's is just dumb. No. 13 is apparently Thirteen? Not even her name, despite it being known for a while now?
