A.N. — The My Hero Academia: Ultra Analysis book calls today's character a "little chubster." Rude! Well, it was also rude on my part to shift this guy from his birthday on the 2nd to here. So, to salute his size, happy birthday, Mines!
35. Nirengeki Shoda/Mines
He might've been squat in stature, but Shoda was long on integrity.
His reputation for decency started quietly, declining to join in Monoma's antics with Class 1-A. It came to the fore in the sports festival, where he withdrew rather than advancing through the actions of others.
Some whispered in the halls that Shoda was shirking away from battle, because he had nothing to show. But Mines knew otherwise. His quirk was sneaky strong; better to be underestimated now, then strike back with surprise later. But Shoda wouldn't use it on the students despite their sneers; that just wasn't heroic.
A.N. 2 — Anyone notice all the alliteration I slipped in here?
