Hi Readers: What did you guys think of the last chapter? Well, I know that you guys are all happy to be back in Chicago. But that doesn't mean that I'm going to stop the business parts every once and a while, especially not when there are times where I can do it like this one. So, here we go with our first business chapter in a while; I hope you guys like it and let me know what you think.
Chapter Three Hundred and Forty
Rough Night (and Sex)
March 19th, 2020 - Casey Home, Matt's Office – He was currently in his office, being extra quiet as to not wake up his sleeping mother who was right down the hall from his office. And while he could've easily stayed in bed with his wife this morning, it seemed that Matt just wasn't going to sleep; and that was due to the fact that he had a lot of his mind, still. It didn't matter that they were unpacked now, or that they were in the safety of their Chicago home. He was still stressed and thinking about everything that's gone on; and the worst part, he was also thinking about all the regrets that he has from a hard time in his and Gabby's life. And that was all thanks to Sylvie. Seeing Sylvie yesterday just brought back all those feelings of regrets back, about the time where he should've stood up for his wife; heck, that he should've ran after her when she went to Puerto Rico. But now, they were past that.
Well, the couple are at least; as it's now clear to him, that he isn't past it. Past what that woman did to him, and just what effect she still has on his life; and that most certainly was something that he hated, that a woman like her could have such an affect on his life right now. I mean, she shouldn't be affecting his marriage whatsoever; as she isn't the woman that he's married to, nor is she the woman he loves. Rather, she's the woman he despises and wants nothing to do with at the moment. Instead, he wants to concentrate on the woman he loves, as well as their children; but god, he still can't stop thinking about what she told him. How he can give up being a father to be with her, and that was something that will always bother. Oh yeah, he's just going to replace the kids that he has with Gabby. The kids that are his life. And that was why he was awake and in his office, as he couldn't stand to be in bed.
To be in bed with his wife, the woman he loves; while he was thinking of that other woman, the woman who ruined his vow renewal…and is the woman that was on his mind, when he should've instead been thinking (and dreaming) about his wife. But no, she ended up in his mind last night, and that was hard. And that was something that his wife could see as she stood at the door to his office, the wife being able to see that he was tying to stay busy right now; rather than be in bed with her, he was trying to distract himself. "Rough night?" Turning his head as he heard his wife in his office, Matt sighed as he knew that he couldn't lie to Gabby when it came to whether he had a rough night or not. "I don't want to talk about it, when it deals with her." Gabby was shocked as she heard her husband say that, before getting a bit mad. "Oh my god, did you…" Matt just looked at his wife. "Okay, gross!" Gabby agreed.
And that was when she knew that he didn't have a wet dream about Sylvie, but something else; and that was why Matt just ended his hand, as he wanted Gabby in his lap as they spoke for a minute. "Come here you," Gabby agreed with her loving husband as he said that, before making her way over to him as he asked; after all, she wants to cuddle up to him too. She wants to sit in his lap, on their first morning here in their new home. "We're going to talk about it for a minute." Matt agreed. "Yes, just after you give me something." Gabby was a bit confused as she walked up to Matt, before sitting down in his lap and cuddling up to him; wrapping her arm around his neck, Gabby smirked as she felt him put his hand on her leg. After which, she put her hand on his neck and proceeded to kiss him softly. Because that was what he wanted right now, to share a sweet kiss with the woman he loves. The only woman he loves.
And now this, this was really changing his mind, which is exactly what Matt needs at the moment, as Gabby is the only woman that he wants to be thinking about when he's in bed. "Okay, spill." Matt sighed. "I was thinking about what she told me, about why she was in Hawaii." Gabby agreed with her husband as he said that, while also running her finger down his cheekbone; meanwhile, Matt left a soft kiss on her neck. "How she wanted to try and steal me from you, and how she thought that she could do it; and I can't help but wonder if that's the message that we still portray to people sometimes, that our marriage isn't in the best place." Gabby agreed with her husband as he said that, well aware that may be something that he thinks about. But at the same time, they also both know that isn't the truth. "I think we both know though, that we're in the best place we've ever been in a while." Matt agreed.
After all, that was the truth; they have never been in a better place than they are right now, and Matt's proud of that fact. He's proud that they're in such a good place, and that they're madly in love with each other. He's proud to call Gabby his wife, and he's very happy that he has the honor to do so each and every day. And even better, he also gets to call her the mother of his children. And that was why he just leaned up and kissed Gabby, due to the fact that he loves her more than anything. "I love you." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that he loves her, as that was something that was never in question. "Baby, I know that you love me, and that there is nobody else for you." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, as that most certainly is the truth; a truth that he's proud of. "And I am so proud of that fact, because I love you more than anything in the entire world." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that.
After which, he ran her finger down his cheekbone while kissing him softly. "Somebody is earning their wife right now." Matt smirked as he heard Gabby say that, before leaning in and kissing the woman he loves. "Do you want me?" Moving to grab the dress shirt that she was wearing for her husband, Gabby smirked as she proceeded to undo it for the man she loves; however, Matt soon stopped her. "Here, let me." Gabby agreed with Matt, while watching him undo the dress shirt that she was wearing. That was, until he saw what she was wearing and smirked as she was definitely sending him the message that she wants him. "Want to go have what we should've had last night?" Matt agreed with Gabby as he most certainly does want to have what they should've done last night, starting with him picking her up in his arms and wrapping her legs around his waist; meanwhile, Gabby moved her hands to his face and smirked.
After all, what's better than the feeling of your husband picking you up in his arms to carry you to bed; especially when he's getting ready to have sex with you in your bed, which is something that you both want more than anything. "Do I need to wear a condom?" Gabby shook her head. "No baby, because it worked remember." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, before leaning in and moving to suck on her neck; at the same time, Gabby grabbed the back of his head and moaned as she got ready to enjoy some time in bed with her husband. Time where he can make love to her and give her everything that she wants from him. And that would be sex, sex, and a whole lot more sex; sex that she should've gotten from her husband last night but didn't as they were tired. But now that she has energy, she's ready to get some attention from her man. "I want you to take it slow with me baby. We have no rush."
Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, as that most certainly was the truth; they were in no rush this morning and could take all the time in the world to give each other what they want: each other in bed, as they make sweet love to each other this morning.
It didn't take Matt long to carry his beautiful wife down to their bedroom, as he wanted to take her in his arms as soon as possible. But in order to do that, she needed to be in their bed; and that was exactly where Gabby was now that she was undressed, or at least where she was supposed to be lying down. But she wasn't laying down as she was going to do something for her now-shirtless husband, Matt having taken off his shirt immediately after he set Gabby down in their bed; and while he took off his shirt, he most certainly was not going to be taking off his pants. Rather, Gabby was going to do that; and boy did Matt like it, and the sight of watching his topless wife taking off his pants. "Oh god baby." Smirking as she took off Matt's pants, Gabby smirked as she decided to spice things up by also kissing his bulge for him; meanwhile, Matt moaned as that was so damn sexy. "Gabby!"
Gabby smirked as she heard Matt say that, before watching as he bent down and put his hand on her neck. Kissing his gorgeous wife, Matt smirked as he was really turned on by what Gabby just did. God, the way she just turned him on is incredible; and he is so glad that he has Gabby as his wife, as there is no other woman for him. Each and every day that they're married, is just one more day that he regrets having proposed to Hallie in the first place. But right now, he's not going to think about that; rather, he's going to concentrate on his wife. Because that was why he was just wearing his boxers, so that he could concentrate on his wife now that he just kicked his clothes away and went ahead and helped Gabby up, so they were standing together. "God, now this is something I like." Gabby agreed with Matt as she put her hands on his chest, and smirked as she leaned in and kissed the man she loves.
"What did you think of my little surprise that I gave you?"
Matt smirked as he leaned in and kissed Gabby once more, before tugging her body against his chest and bending down to kiss her neck; after which, he started to suck on it. "God, now that was the hottest thing in the entire world. And I am so glad that you did that for me baby." Gabby moaned, agreeing with Matt as he moved his hand to her neck and wrapped his arm around her waist; picking her up in his arms, Matt then wrapped her legs around his waist and put both of his hands on her back as he kept her right against his chest while sitting down on the edge of the bed. Because at the end of the day, this is exactly what they want right now. They want to have sex with each other, and they want to have each other now. Put that's only going to start now. Now that they were together in bed, and ready to be all over each other; well maybe not just yet, as Gabby put her hands on Matt's chest first.
She put her hands on his chest and leaned in to kiss the man she loves more than anything in the entire world, the man she craves and wants to have in bed. And the man she wants to have another baby with. Wait, did she really just say that. Maybe she needs to slow down. "Uhm Matt, can we slow down for a minute?" Leaning back, Matt was confused as he thought that everything was okay. "You okay baby?" Gabby took a breath, before sighing. "I just thought of something that totally took me off guard." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that. "Yeah, okay. Do you want me to get us breakfast?" That's when Matt heard his mom come downstairs. "Matt, I got breakfast. Take it easy and relax with Gabby." Matt agreed with his mom as she said that. "Thanks mom. Did we wake you up?" Nancy snickered. "Andy did." Matt agreed with his mom. "Mom, can you put him out and feed him for me?" Nancy agreed.
"Of course, I can sweetheart."
Matt agreed with his mom as she said that, while also staring into Gabby's eyes this morning; after which, he brought her body close to him and kissed her softly. "What do you want to do baby?" Gabby sighed as she put her hands on his chest, still thinking about she just thought about how she wants to have another baby. "I think I want to have another baby." Going to kiss Gabby again, Matt was absolutely shocked. No, he was mad; especially after what he had to deal with the last two times.
"What did you just say?"
She was scared after what Matt said, which prompted her to get up; to run away, and just go to the bathroom. She knew she was being an idiot when she said that, so she has no idea why she even said it. I mean, a fifth child; what's she thinking? And the truth was, Matt was wondering the same thing; but at the same time, he knew that he couldn't just dismiss her comment. Instead, he needed to do something else. And that was to come join her in the shower, which was where she was hiding from him; or at least trying to.
"I hope you know that you're a really bad at hide n' seek."
Hearing Matt say that, Gabby got nervous and quite tense in the shower; after all, there was a reason why she ran in here. She was feeling so stupid for what she said, because she was feeling stupid right now. But that didn't mean that she could run away anymore, as Matt was here with her; he was in the shower with her, with his hands on her hips as he held her in his arms. And she had to admit, that she most certainly did love how he was holding her right now; it was exactly what she wanted, as they started their new life in Chicago. Yet at the same time, it made her nervous, which Matt could see based on how tense she was. And that was why he decided to step close to her from behind and move his hands to her body, so that he could hold her and she couldn't leave; because right now, he wants her in the shower with him so that he could make her feel better. Because that's what a husband does for his wife.
"Matt, I…"
Stopping Gabby in her tracks, Matt went to whisper in her ear. "Hey, let's just take a minute and breathe right now; I know that you're scared right now, and I want you to breathe for me. This is not how I want to start our new life here in this home, with you all stressed." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, as that most certainly isn't something that she wants either; she wants to take it easy, and just relax with the man she loves. But to do that, she needs to make sure that they calm down with each other. Well, that, and she needs to ensure that they're okay right now. "We okay baby?" Matt agreed with Gabby, as they most certainly are okay. "Baby, of course we're okay; why wouldn't we be okay?" Turning around in Matt's arms, Gabby put her hands on his chest; meanwhile, Matt moved his hand to Gabby's neck as he stepped close to her. After which, he kissed her softly as a way to get his girl to take a breath and relax.
To calm down and remember that everything is always okay when they're together, when they're holding each other close and concentrating on what matters in life. And that would be each other, and their family. "Okay, we're going to take one more breath, then we're going to talk as I wash you." Gabby agreed with Matt as she wrapped her arm around his back, while cuddling up to him as they shared a kiss. At the same time, Matt grabbed the bar of soap and proceeded to put some on his hands as he wanted to wash Gabby right now; that way, he could give her a massage here in the shower. "Matt, I'm really sorry I said that. I have no idea where it came from." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that. "Gabby, I have to say that it did scare me when you said that. Especially after all we delt with the last two times you were pregnant, and the fears that I have about you giving birth again." Gabby agreed.
After which, she wrapped her arms around him and took a breath; after all, there was a reason behind this. "Matt, can I just explain why I feel this way?" Matt agreed with Gabby, as he owed her that. He owed her a chance to explain what was on her mind, and to tell him what she needs from him. "Of course, you can baby, you can always talk to me. Especially now." Gabby agreed with Matt, before taking a breath. "Matt, there are two things on my mind. First, we've never done a pregnancy here in Chicago. A pregnancy…" Matt just knew what she meant. "A pregnancy with our friends." Gabby agreed. "I know that sounds wrong, as I loved how we experienced our pregnancies but…" Gabby then took a breath. "Matt, both of the pregnancies were not the best. The start of the boys' pregnancy started with fear. The one with the girls ended with a premature birth…" Matt already knew what else it included.
"The lost one."
Gabby agreed with Matt. "I know this sounds crazy…but I just want one where we know it'll be okay. Where we know that things will be okay from start to finish, and that we'll be fine." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, before getting close to her; after which, he put his hand on the side of her face and leaned in to kiss her softly. "Gabby, unfortunately we can't do that. You already got your tubes tied." Gabby agreed with Matt. "And I also got some eggs out just in case. I haven't said this but…I kept some that weren't going to be donated. Some that we can use ourselves if we want to." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that. "And me, I have some sperm somewhere. I know I did it, because I wanted it in case we did surrogacy." Gabby agreed with her husband. "Listen, I know this is crazy. But can we agree to think about it. I want a normal pregnancy here in Chicago in the future, not yet." Matt agreed with Gabby.
But at the same time, he can't let her get pregnant. "Gabby, I know what you're thinking. And I know that you can get an egg implanted. But we are not getting you pregnant again. I am not risking you again, when I just lost you. My worst fear happened baby, and that was without the aneurysm. So as much as I love you, the answer is no. Plus, I already think we have enough to deal with. Four kids, my PTSD, a business, and a dog. Gabby, I love you; you mean the world to me. And you making me a father has made me the happiest man in the entire world. But I just can't do it, not when I want to be able to give the kids as much time as I can." Gabby agreed with Matt. "Are you mad at me?" Gabby shook her head as she got close to her husband, while wrapping her arms around him; after which, she leaned in and kissed the man she loves more than anything. "I could never be mad at you when you explain it like that."
Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that, as he pushed a strand of hair behind her ear; after which, he leaned his forehead against hers and took things nice and slow with her. "Gabby, I love you; and I love that you want to give me more kids, but I already have enough kids. And I kind of like how we're done. Because that means that we don't have to worry about it anymore, and we can just live our lives. That's all I want baby, because I love you and you're my world. Please don't make me revisit this conversation." Gabby agreed with her husband as he said that, before cuddling up to him as she wrapped her arms around his neck; meanwhile, Matt put his hands on her back and held her close while running his hands up and down her back. "I love you babe." Gabby agreed with Matt. "I love you too Matt." Running his hands down Gabby's back, Matt smiled as he just held the love of his life close to him.
He decided to go with something casual rather than sexy today, due to the fact that he needs to calm his wife down; especially when it comes to the sex, as he had a feeling that the sex was the main reason why she was thinking about another baby. And luckily for him, it seemed that Gabby got the same message as him as her watched her put on some of his sweats as she stood at her dresser. "Well, I think we both got the same message." Turning her head, Gabby smiled as they most certainly did get the same message. The message that they need to calm down, and just take it easy. "Yeah, sorry about all that in the shower." Shaking his head, Matt proceeded to make his way over to the woman he loves as she put his sweater on; after which, he put his hand on her hip and looked at her. "Hey, turn around and look at me." Gabby agreed with Matt as she turned around to face him, while he stepped close to her.
Wrapping his arms around her, Matt smiled as he put his hands on Gabby's butt and just held his beautiful wife close to him. At the same time, Gabby put her hands on his chest as she leaned up and kissed him softly; meanwhile, Matt moved his hand to her neck and continued to take things nice and slow with the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "I love you." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt tell her that, well aware that her husband loves her. "I love you too, and I am so glad that we already got over that fight." Matt agreed with Gabby. "Well, it is an easy fight. Gabby, I just want to live this life. Baby, we have enough kids. We have Matteo and Noah, and we have Bella and Sofia. But one thing I can't risk is loosing you, which is something that I almost lost last time. Gabby, Hawaii was supposed to be our place to get pregnant; and that just scared me more, and I don't…" Matt took a breath and teared up.
After all, he can still remember the pictures. "Baby, you may not remember that day; but I remember it clear as day, and I will never be able to forget that day. The day I saw my wife in pain, and wondered whether I would have to make that decision. Baby, the day we had the girls…I thought I was going to have to choose between saving you and saving the girls." Gabby took a breath, and agreed with her loving husband as he told her that; after which, she got close to him and hugged him. Wrapping his arms around her too, Matt sighed as he kissed her forehead softly. "Gabby, I love you more than anything in the entire world; I really do. But when it comes down to it, I am not going to take that risk again. Not when I am scared. And not when I need to concentrate on what I have. Baby, we already lost enough children, and I am not taking the risk; especially not when I'm really scared." Gabby was confused.
"What are you talking about baby?"
Matt sighed. "I have a fear of us getting pregnant again, as I'm worried that next time I'll loose more than just another baby; I'll lose another baby, and the love of my life." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, before stepping close to him and wrapping her arms around him; at the same time, Matt bent down and kissed her forehead softly. "Gabby, promise me that we're done having kids forever." Looking up at Matt, Gabby agreed with her husband while he held her in his arms. "I promise baby, forever." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, glad that was the case. "Thanks. Now listen, what do you want to do right now?" Gabby smiled at her husband. "I want to have breakfast in bed, and just take it easy with my husband as we spend the day cuddling in bed. I know we need to unpack but…" Matt agreed with Gabby. "And you also want to talk about something else." Gabby was confused.
"You want to talk about the fact that your parents are trying again."
Gabby groaned. "Do you mind?" Stepping close to Gabby, Matt put his hand on her neck before kissing her softly. "Not at all, I promise. Just go lay down in bed, take it easy and we're going to talk about it." Gabby agreed with Matt as she kissed him again, after which she walked away to go lay down in bed like Matt told her to. Meanwhile, Matt walked away so that he could head downstairs and make breakfast. "Oh later, we need to talk a walk around lunch." Gabby looked at Matt, and agreed as she knew what he was talking about; after which, she smirked as that was something that she wanted. "By the way, I just checked the accounts; and it seems like some of our contracts have paid out early." Gabby was shocked. "Oh really?" Matt agreed with Gabby. "We're doing pretty good my dear." Gabby smiled, agreeing with her husband as he walked up to her and leaned over her; kissing her softly, Matt smirked.
That was, until he remembered something. "Wait, isn't your mom bringing us breakfast?" Gabby agreed with Matt as he asked her whether her mom was bringing them breakfast, as she most certainly was. "And that means that you don't need to go anywhere, and we can start talking." Matt sighed, but agreed with his wife as he knew exactly what she was talking about.
She wants to talk about how her parents are trying again.
