Hi Readers: Sorry for the huge delay in starting more chapters. But I got distracted, and I had other stuff to do. But now, I'm ready to post and get you some updates. Now, I do want to say that this is not the only day where I'm going to be delayed; as I am going to be going to a meeting on Friday, but that's not today. Rather, I am going to write as much as I can. Hope you guys like these chapters.
Chapter Three Hundred and Forty-One
Ramon & Camila 2.0
They decided to wait until after they ate breakfast, and until they were alone once more before they started talking about what Gabby wanted to talk about; and that would be her parents, and how they've decided to try again. Yet at the same time, they both knew that they couldn't do it too fast; as that would mean that Gabby may get worried and just start obsessing more, but that hasn't happened yet. And Matt is happy about that, due to the fact that he doesn't want to have to hold his wife for longer than he has to; not that he wouldn't mind, he would just rather hold her as they want to cuddle…and not due to the fact that she needs comfort, as that means that something's bothering her. And that's why they need to talk to each other, and that starts with Gabby talking to him. And that's due to the fact that Matt has no place starting this conversation, not when: (a) Gabby was the one that wanted to talk about this topic, and (b) Ramon and Camila are her parents. And that means that this affects his children, should this reunion be fatal like their union.
And that was why Matt was currently in the midst of just holding Gabby and waiting for her to speak to him, as he ran his hand up and down her back; and that most certainly is something that Gabby was enjoying, as it was giving her the comfort that she needed from her husband. The comfort that her husband was more than okay with giving her, as he loves her; and wants to help her. And right now, that's exactly what he's going to do; as Gabby was ready to talk to her husband, and to let him in so that he can help her. "Okay, can you at least promise me that…" Already well aware of what Gabby was going to ask him, which is that she wants him to support her; Matt just agreed, due to the fact that was exactly what he planned on doing. He was going to support her, and he was going to give her the love and comfort that she needs at the moment; and boy was it something that Gabby was going to enjoy, and he just knew it.
But now, he needs to make sure that she knows it; and he said the following in order to vocalize how Gabby needed to approach this situation right now, as she was not approaching it in the right way at the moment. Rather, she needed to do the following: "Don't even think about that Gabby. Gabby, I'm your husband, and I love you more than anything in the entire world; I am going to make sure that you get whatever comfort from me that you need, and I will be here to help you through everything at the same time." Gabby agreed with her husband as he said that, well aware that was the case; after all, that was something that Matt has always done for her. He's always helped her when she's needed it, and he's always been her biggest supporter. "After all, you've always been my biggest supporter." Matt smirked as he heard Gabby say that, before turning his head and looking down at the woman he loves.
"At least, when you come to me first."
Gabby agreed with her loving husband as he said that, well aware of the even that he was referring to; and that was when she went exploring in the drug alleys with Severide for Bria, a girl that she took under her wing for a while almost two years ago now. But now, she isn't taking random street girls under her wings now; rather, she was going to do that with her own daughters, whom she's proud that she's going to have a long legacy thanks to them. At least, if they join the company and design. "So, do you want to talk right now?" Gabby agreed with her husband, as that most certainly was something that she wanted to talk to her husband about right now; she wanted to talk to her husband about the fact that her parents are back together, which is something that she's weary about. "I'm just so weary about it, because of how my dad is. He's so…" Matt then went to describe her father in the best way possible.
"He's rash, and he doesn't think about the consequences."
Gabby laughed, as that was the perfect way to describe her father; he's a man who acts without thinking about it, and he doesn't worry about the consequences. And not just the consequences for himself, but for others; especially her, when he was living with her. "Ok. I am going to say this again. Can we both just agree that he stayed at our place WAY too long? I mean, babe. He came to us just a few months into our marriage." Gabby laughed and agreed with her husband as he said that, well aware that was the case as she turned her head and looked up at the man she loves. "I think we both know that there was another reason why you weren't the happiest that he was there." Turning his head as he felt Gabby wrap his arms around his torso, Matt smiled as he put his hand on her arm and turned her head to kiss her forehead softly. "You remember what I said in the RV, right?" Turning her head, Gabby agreed.
After all, she most certainly does. "I mean, you wanted me to give you a baby; but I most certainly was not going to have sex with him in the other room." Gabby laughed as she heard Matt say that. "Yet you're okay with having sex when your mother is just upstairs." Smiling as he bent down, Matt agreed before leaning in and kissing the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "Well, I think we both know why that's the case; and it's due to the fact that we want each other so much." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, and smiled as she cuddled up to him some more. And she had to say, that this is very comfortable; and she is extremely happy that she's in the midst of cuddling up to the man of her dreams, and just taking it easy with him. But at the same time, Matt needs to make something clear to the woman he loves; and that was that he was not having his dad live here again.
"OK. But I need to say something. Remember what I said. If they break up, then your father is not moving in here; he's moving in with your brother."
Gabby laughed as she heard Matt say that, well aware that was the case; as that most certainly is exactly what's going to happen, should they break up. If they break up, her father is going to be moving in with her brother and his new fiancé.. That's when Gabby just started to laugh. However, Matt was confused as he looked down at the woman he loves; after all, he doesn't know why she's laughing. "Okay, why are you laughing right now?" Looking up at her husband, Gabby smirked due to the fact that her brother would find himself in a similar situation with Sacha; should their parents break up, of course. "It's just…my brother and Sacha are in the same position that we were." Thinking about it, Matt laughed as that most certainly was the truth. "I mean, they aren't married yet; but they are engaged and planning their wedding, because that most certainly is what we should've done." Gabby agreed with Matt.
At the same time, she cuddled up to her husband due to the fact that she just loves cuddling up to the man of her dreams; the man she's extremely happy to be all cuddled up to, and just relaxing with him. But still, she can't help but wonder about something; and that would be whether her brother was thinking about doing something similar to what they did, and that would be get married. "OK. This is going to sound crazy, but what are the odds of Antonio doing something like what we did." Turning his head, Matt looked down at the woman he loves. "Oh god, do you really think that your brother would do that?" Gabby snickered. "I think that I need to call my brother, and make sure that he tells us if that happens. He was at all of our weddings, and I am going to be at all of his weddings." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that. "And I'm going to be at his wedding for the first time." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that.
After which, she rubbed his chest and just thought about how she wants to call her brother; and right now, that's exactly what she wants to do. She wants to call her brother and talk to him and Sascha. But she also doesn't want to move, which is why she needs Matt to do something; she needs Matt to grab her phone so that she can call her brother. "Can you get my phone for me? I need to make a call." Looking down, Matt was confused; that was, until he realized what she had to do. She needs to call her brother, and make sure that she was at his wedding. "Here, I'll get your phone so that you can call your brother." Gabby laughed. "I hope you mean that WE can call my brother, as you're going to be here with me." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, well aware that he wasn't going anywhere; so, he did as he was told, he reached over to the side table, before grabbing Gabby's phone so they can call Antonio.
After which, he handed it to Gabby and smiled as she went to open it; but at the same time, he made sure that Gabby wasn't going to leave his arms. "I hope you know that you're not leaving my arms right now." Gabby agreed with her husband as he said that, as that most certainly was not something that she was going to do; she was going to cuddle up to her husband, as she spoke to her brother and Sacha about how they aren't going to get married without them being there. After all, she can still remember what he said. And that would be that he wouldn't let them get married at the courthouse without him being there, so she's going to make sure that's the same for him; that he under no circumstances is to get married without her being there, as she wants to be there to support her brother as she walks down the aisle with her husband. And god, she is just so glad that this is what they're doing right now.
Putting her phone on speakerphone after calling her brother, Gabby smiled as she was still happy for her brother that he was engaged again; especially due to the fact that it means that Sylvie can't get her claws into him, and that Antonio was going to be happy with another woman. A woman who moved from Hawaii to Chicago, just so that she can be Antonio; and if that isn't true love, then that most certainly is what it is. And she is just so happy that they are together at the moment, especially due to the fact that it meant that they were going to get to talk to them; well, hopefully. But apparently, that wasn't the case as it turned out that Antonio was alone at the moment. "Hey, what's up guys?" Matt was a bit confused as he heard Antonio driving. "You driving man?" Antonio laughed. "Yeah, I had to go out. I had to go to the computer store to get myself an HDMI chord as I forgot my other one in Hawaii." Gabby agreed.
"Let me guess, you're setting up your office in your condo right now?"
Antonio agreed with his sister, as that was exactly what he was doing. "I'm glad that me and Sacha got a 2-bed place, as it means that we can have an office." Matt agreed with Antonio as he said that as he knew where he lived. "I know where you guys live, due to the fact that I paid the downpayment until you guys sold your places in Hawaii; then you paid more here, and then paid me back." Antonio agreed with his brother as he said that, well aware that was the case. "And I appreciate that Matt, it really most certainly did help us with the stress." Matt agreed with his brother-in-law, as that was exactly what he wanted to do; he wanted to relieve as much stress as possible, especially when he also had to move Eva into her own place. "You happy that you also have a place to yourself now? Since Eva decided to get her own place." Antonio agreed with Matt as he said that, as that most certainly was another thing he liked.
He liked the fact that he and Sacha have a place to themselves, rather than have to also share it with Eva. "Oh, I love that. I am so glad that you helped her out with getting University housing." Matt agreed with Antonio as he said that. "Hey, we want her to be safe at the end of the day; just remember that you need to help her set up an office to, so that she can do her work and help remotely." Antonio agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that he has to do that. "I know Matt, just calm down and take it easy as you relax right now; just enjoy the fact that your place is unpacked, because you should see Jay and Alex. They're just getting started, as they decided to do Will and Natalie's place first; and that's where the kids are right now, as Jay decided that he was going to paint the nurseries today." Matt agreed with Antonio as he said that. "I was thinking about it, but I decided against it for now." Antonio agreed.
"Are you going to do it in the future soon?"
Turning her head, Gabby smiled as she looked at Matt. "I think that we might, when we move the boys up to new beds." Antonio agreed with his sister as she said that, as that most certainly is something that he can see the two of them doing. "I think that would be great, considering I know that you guys are going to be staying there for a while. Wait, we are staying here in Chicago right?" Matt agreed with Antonio, as they most certainly will be staying here; there's nowhere else that he'd rather be, due to the fact that they have a lot of family here. "But listen, we're actually calling for some other reasons." Gabby agreed with her husband as he said that. "I think the first thing that I want to talk about, is the fact that our parents decided to try again." Antonio agreed, before groaning. "Tell me about it, I am just scared." Gabby agreed with her brother as he said that, before sighing. "And we need to talk."
Antonio was a bit confused as he heard his sister say that, unsure of what his sister was talking about. "What are you talking about?" Matt sighed. "Antonio, I'm just warning you; we are not taking your father in, if this ends badly. We did that last time, and we have four children; we are not going to take him in again." Antonio agreed with his brother-in-law as he said that, as that most certainly is something that he understands. "And you have a lot more to deal with now, than when this happened the first time around." Gabby agreed with her brother as he said that, as that most certainly was the truth. "Yeah, a dog, four kids, PTSD, and a business." Antonio agreed with his sister as she said that, because he knew that he had a lot on their minds.
"By the way, I forgot to ask. What are doing with all of our staff in Hawaii? Are we offering some of the senior executives jobs here? Or are they going to work from Hawaii?"
Matt took a breath as Antonio asked them that question, as he doesn't know what he's going to do yet. "I'm not sure yet, and I haven't thought about it yet; and that's due to the fact that I haven't really worked since we started moving, and I am not sure when I am going to start again. I like the time we're taking right now, and I still need to figure out what we can do with COVID." Antonio agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was something that he had to do. "Yeah, that makes sense." Matt agreed with Antonio, before taking a breath and turning his head, kissing Gabby's forehead at the same time. "How about you talk to your brother? I'm going to put Andy out and get some water." Looking at her husband, Gabby got a bit worried; but still, she let him get up and leave.
But that didn't mean that he was going to be alone for long, and that was due to the fact that she was going to go see what exactly was wrong; because if there was one thing that she didn't want, it was him not talking to her. Rather, she wants him to talk to her.
Coming downstairs after talking to her brother for a bit longer, Gabby looked at Matt as he stood in the kitchen while drinking some water (while also watching Andy outside): but at the same time, Gabby knew that her husband had more on his mind than Andy being outside. And that would be all of his staff, including those that they still have in Hawaii. And right now, Gabby also knew that she needed to support her husband at the moment. And that was exactly what she planned on doing, as she walked into the kitchen. "You okay?" Turning his head, Matt sighed as he put his glass down on the counter; at the same time, he extended his hand with the hopes of getting Gabby close to him. And that most certainly is exactly what Gabby wants to do, she wants to be close to her husband and holding him close to her. "You okay baby?" Matt sighed as he watched Gabby get close to him and wrap her arms around him.
Doing the same, Matt wrapped his arms around her waist as he cuddled up to Gabby; meanwhile, Gabby put her hands on his back and looked up at him. "You want to talk to me?" Matt sighed. "I guess, I am just…" Moving his hand to the back of Gabby's head, Matt proceeded to kiss her forehead softly. "I'm thinking about how we have a lot of staff in Hawaii, and they all need direction; but are we going to keep them there." Gabby agreed with her husband as he said that, well aware that was the case. "Baby, we have Rafael to deal with that. Remember, he's in charge of all that's going on in Hawaii; and you don't have to worry about that, for that reason. We're going to keep the staff there, and we're going to just get staff here in Chicago." Matt agreed with Gabby, as that was exactly what they were going to do. "Yeah, I guess that was already decided." Gabby agreed with her loving husband, while also kissing him.
After which, Matt wrapped his arms around her waist and picked her up in his arms; setting her down on the counter, Matt smirked as he stepped close to his beautiful wife. At the same time, Gabby moved her hands to Matt's face and smirked as she stroked his cheeks with her thumbs before kissing him softly; after all, that's what her husband needs after all the stress that he's been dealing with recently. "Baby, look at me." Moving his hands to Gabby's back, Matt agreed as he tugged Gabby close to him. "Matt, everything's okay. We're home, we're safe, and we have a beautiful life with each other." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before wrapping his arms around her; after which, he put his hand on her back and just continued to hold the woman he loves tight to his chest. But that soon led him to kissing her, as he ran his hand up and down her back; something that they both want to do right now, as it's sexy.
Just taking things nice and slow with each other is always something very sexy, and something that the couple very much love to do with each other; especially when they're alone and celebrating the fact that they're now all moved on. "You want to head back to bed? Maybe I can give you a distraction from that work stuff, and we can go back to the personal?" Feeling Gabby tug her body against his chest, Matt smiled as he put his hands on her back to help her; something that he most certainly wanted to do now that Gabby was doing something else, which would be kissing his neck softly. And boy did Matt love the feeling of his beautiful wife's lips on her neck, as it's really sexy. "God, you are so damn sexy." Gabby agreed. "I spoke to my brother about my parents." Matt agreed with Gabby. "What does he think about it? Does he think it'll work out?" Gabby smiled as she put her hands on his face and held him close.
After all, she knows that he doesn't really want to talk about this. "Be honest with me, you don't want to talk about this." Matt smirked, as he most certainly doesn't want to talk about her parents; not when he would rather concentrate on his girl, the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "I think we both know that we want to do something else." Gabby agreed with Matt. "I want to just take it easy with you, as we cuddle up to each other in bed. Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that. "No sex thought, we had some last night." Gabby agreed with her husband as he said that, as that most certainly is the truth. "But I think I changed my mind on what I want to wear. I know we said sweats, but I want to just feel your hand on my back as we cuddle up to each other in bed and take it easy." Matt agreed with his wife, loving that idea as he moved his hands to her neck this morning.
"I think that can happen."
Leaning in, Matt smirked as he proceeded to kiss the woman he loves softly; after which, he grabbed her arms and proceeded to wrap her arms around his neck. Picking her up in his arms afterwards, Matt wrapped her legs around his waist and continued to kiss her; meanwhile, Gabby grabbed the back of his head as she took things slow with him. "I shut off our phones." Matt agreed with Gabby. "And the kids?" Gabby smirked. "They'll be fine with my mom. Let's just get Andy in here, then we can go up to bed." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife as she said that, before taking things nice and slow with her; after which, he walked up to the door and opened it. Whistling afterwards, Matt looked at Andy as he felt Gabby kiss his neck softly. "Andy, c'mon buddy." Andy agreed and came to run inside; closing the door behind him, Matt smirked as he locked it and then wrapped his arm around Gabby's back this morning.
Turning around, he smiled as he leaned in and kissed the woman he loves; the woman he plans on taking up to bed and showing her that he loves her. Something that they both want to do at the moment, they want to enjoy each other in bed as they have fun; fun in their new house, which they want to do all day. Just like how Gabby wants to have Matt's lips on her neck all day, as it's really sexy. "Oh baby." Matt agreed with Gabby as he sucked on her neck, while wrapping her legs around his waist nice and tight. Meanwhile he wrapped his arms around her back and just held the woman he loves right against his chest as he made his way back upstairs with the woman he loves. The woman he craves, and just wants to enjoy some intimate time with. "No sex yet." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, while continuing to make his way upstairs with her; to their room, where he was going to please her like she wants him to.
