The next day, Luke woke up to a delightful surprise on his birthday morning as his siblings brought him breakfast in bed. He was surprised to see a stack of pancakes, a bowl of fresh fruit, and a glass of orange juice waiting for him. His siblings had also decorated the tray with balloons and a birthday card signed by them.
Luke's siblings sang "Happy Birthday" as he blew out the candles on his pancakes. He felt grateful for his family's love and care. After breakfast, they spent time with the birthday boy.
Later, Luke meets up with his friends and they smile wishing him a happy birthday and good luck in his pageant. But he felt like they weren't going to support him in the "Mr. Tween Michigan" pageant today.
"You okay?" Lonnie asked.
"You won't support me in the pageant…" Luke hissed. He then walked off.
The siblings had gotten everything ready and then got ready to support Luke.
Luke was getting ready himself. He had nothing to say, still thinking that his friends wouldn't support him.
Garrett comes to his house. Luke sees him.
Garrett got him a birthday gift which was a cool drawing. Luke smiled at this.
Leni was working on Luke's costumes at the venue as Luke was sitting at his dressing table.
"Almost done…" Leni says as Lana came
"Hey!" Lana says as Leni pricks her finger on the needle and winces in pain.
Soon, the pageant began. Luke was on stage, modeling his suit.
Stephen cheered as Leni gave a thumbs up. Luke just sashayed offstage.
People clapped for him.
Backstage, he was tearing the card that Lonnie made for him. Lonnie sees this as Luke feels destroyed inside.
Luna checks on Luke and feels bad for him.
Luke got ready for the talent round, seeing his friends left him.
Luke sobbed. "No one loves Luke…" Luke sobbed.
He then goes off to do his ribbon dance to "Aquarius/Let The Sunshine In" as the judges watch in awe.
Lola cheered as he spelled his name with an Arctic blue ribbon mid-song. The judges loved it.
Soon Luke went off stage, saying nothing.
He then came out and modeled his swimsuit, smiling at everyone.
Everyone cheered for him as he grinned.
He had no idea that his friends were watching the rest of the pageant on TV at Garrett's house.
Soon, it was the final round. The interview round.
"So, Luke, how has your family treated you?" The man asked. Luke answers honestly.
"They're….okay. But I think they hate me." Luke says.
"How do you know?" The host asked.
Luke explained the past as the crowd was brought to tears.
Minutes later, Luke was crowned "Mr. Tween Michigan" as the siblings cheered for him.
"Way to go." Lucy says.
"Thanks…." Luke says sadly.
"Did you mean all that?" Lana asked.
Luke just looked down. "If you're mad at me about it, go ahead and scold me now." He says sadly.
Lana was rubbing her arm. "No, I'm not." Lana whimpers.
Scared of being told off, Luke runs away.
Lucy appeared in front of him. "Luke, she's not mad, she's guilty. She thinks you're going to get rid of her."
"I'm not….I'm just upset with my friends!" Luke cried.
Lucy hugged him.
Luke just walks ahead of the siblings. "So much for this being my best birthday ever…." Luke says sadly.
Luke sees Gus' Games & Grub with decorations inside. He steps in and looks around.
There were gifts and decorations. Suddenly, Luke's friends and siblings popped out.
"Surprise!" They say. "Happy 12th Birthday, Luke!"
Luke was very surprised to see this and cried tears of joy.
"This is amazing!" Luke says.
Lucy reads a birthday poem for Luke. Then Luan was juggling. Luke smiled and was entertained.
Stephen then demonstrates his cooking skills as Luke tasted some.
Then Luke opens Charity's gift seeing the new Cuphead game and squealed.
"Thank you mom" Luke says to Charity, hugging her.
"You're welcome." Charity says.
Lincoln got Luke a new Ace Savvy comic, Lucy's gift was a journal, Luna got Luke his own personal stage, and Lisa made Luke a tree house. Luke had hope for his birthday to be the best and so far, that was indeed the case.
Soon they play board games, then some hide and seek.
Luke giggles and soon plays in a toy pit and plays around. Stephen joins him.
Luke then sits down to eat.
Ronnie Anne came up. "Happy birthday, Luke." she says.
"Thank you, love." Luke says.
She kissed his cheek as he giggled.
Soon it was pinata time. Luke saw it looked like the Card Shark.
Luke lets Ronnie Anne go first, then he went next, breaking it in half.
Candy fell out as they all collected their share.
"This has been fun…" Luke says. Lucy smiled.
Everyone soon sits down for dessert. The lights turn off as Luke begins to shake and sob.
Soon it lit up showing a nice blue velvet cake themed around Mario Kart as Luke sniffed. There were Mario & Luigi kart toys as cake toppers and 12 candles on it and it said "Happy 12th Birthday, Luke!"
Luke smiled as everyone began to sing to him. Leni records this.
Luke takes in this moment.
Soon, Luke thinks about a wish and wishes for a great 13th birthday and blows out the candles as everyone cheered.
As the cake was cut, Luke walked out as Luna looked on.
That night, Luna checks on him.
"Forget it. January 16th isn't important." Luke says.
"Luke, you wanna talk about it?" Luna asked.
"January 16th is my anniversary of acting." Luke says.
"Lucy's been planning it. She's supposed to take you out to get your cake." Luna says.
Luke smiled a bit as he got ready for bed.
