A.N. — March has arrived, and with it, a character who's really on the rise (all of the Year of the Rabbit art, anyone?). It doesn't matter that her creator seems to love torturing her (some spoilers for that in the drabble, BTW); the fans still love her. Happy birthday, Rumi Usagiyama!

60. Rumi Usagiyama/Mirko

Hiroshima had a long memory.

The site of the first atomic bomb impact had embraced peace since, so a hero like Mirko emerging from there was aberrant.

Rumi was combative, blunt to the point of rudeness. She eschewed the hero agency system Japan was reliant on, choosing to hop around the country untethered to societal norms. Small in stature but big in impact and long on vigor, Mirko had ascended the peak: the highest ranking female hero in the country, and No. 5 overall.

Disability didn't deter Rumi one bit.

Rabbits were dangerous when cornered; her prosthetics only enhanced that.

A.N. 2 — No stats for three straight days; get your shit together, ff.n! Also, this is the closest I've come to missing my daily posting. I was so unenthused with my first drabble I wrote for Rumi that I held off until I had something worthy of one of my favorite characters.
