A.N. — With movie-only characters, I can either focus on their role in the film, or expand upon them before or after that timeframe. With this skittish kid, I chose to give him a bit of story before what was shown. Happy birthday, Katsuma Shimano.
65. Katsuma Shimano
Nabu Island didn't have much need of a hero, but Katsuma still aspired to be one.
Life was placid and peaceful in the tropical paradise, but Katsuma longed for more action. His quirk wasn't offensive, yet Edgeshot was his favorite hero. Recovery Girl would be a more realistic pro for Katsuma to emulate, but perhaps because he'd been told his abilities weren't enough, he desired to show his bravery when it counted. He could practice against his sister's holograms, but until his mettle was tested in real combat, Katsuma was but a country bumpkin with an out of reach dream.
