Ten years later, Ico and Yorda live as farmers and traders travelling across the land. But the legacy of horned children isn't done with them yet. Old superstitions arise, and they will both have to confront their pasts. Soon, they won't have a choice.

Years after the collapse of the castle Ico is filled with a new desire. The yearning to be close.

She is the light. He is the shadow. And the boy is the wall between them.

Two prisoners. Two children, each strangers, bring out a side of the other never before expressed. The world is lonely, whimsical, and not a little cruel, but, if nothing else, they have one another as they seek to escape, stay safe, and, impossibly, live.

Happiness truly does follow sorrow. But no one said that such a path would be a easy one. Only hours have passed since the Castle has fallen and its dark shadow can already be felt, on them and on the world.

A barrier not yet broken, but they find ways to understand each other.

Ico has been vigilantly working to help himself and Yorda escape from the castle. Unfortunately, his overworked body has finally decided that it has had enough. / Rated T for some slightly spoooooopy stuff. Ico/Yorda if you squint.

Though the concept of hope was foreign to her, Yorda saw from his example that it presses on, even in the face of bleak circumstances. Spoilers for the ending.

He needs her to show him the way, to chase nightmares from the deepest corners, to shine brighter than the full moon upon this terrible castle of night. Without her he cannot see. Without her there is no light. [Oneshot]

Yorda may be pulled downwards, but what she wants is on the surface.

We all know the story, a small boy with nothing to lose and a young girl with everything to gain with the odds stacked against them. Well you don't know this story. Yorda had wished for wings her entire life. If she believed hard enough, maybe she could fly...

She flows to it, once pure rain and a river, to get lost again in the sea.
