Chapter Three Hundred and Sixty-One
Happy Birthday Daddy, Part Two: How's Diego?
Taking some more breaths as she sat down in bed with Matt, Gabby smiled due to the fact that she felt much more relaxed. And that was all due to the most amazing man in the entire world, her husband Matthew Casey. She just doesn't know where she would be without him, and she's very proud to have the ability to call him her husband; especially when he's playing with their children. As that's when he's the most adorable, as he plays with their children like he is right now. God, the way he holds Bella in his arms truly is the most adorable thing in the entire world, and Gabby just loves the sight of it; but not as much as the fact that all of the kids have been fed, with the two of them having fed the girls. Meanwhile, their mothers fed the boys for them so that they didn't have to. And that was perfect, as it now left them to only have to concentrate on two things. Holding their girls and eating breakfast together.
And let's just say that the breakfast that they were enjoying right now was delicious. Matt is just scarfing it down as if it's the last thing he's ever going to have a chance to eat, which does concern her; so, she decided to make sure that her husband slows down when it comes to eating. "Baby, take a breath and relax. There's no rush when it comes to eating, you can take your time." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, well aware that he can take his time. "I know I can, but these are just so good." Gabby nodded as she was well aware that the pancakes were really good, as she was enjoying them as well; but that didn't mean that Matt needed to rush through them. He had all the time in the world to eat, as they weren't in a rush to do anything today. They could take it easy, and just relax when it came to their family time that they were enjoying at the moment. The time that they had to be with each other and relax.
And right now, that's exactly what they both want to do with each other; they want to take it easy and relax. Yet Matt also knew that his wife wanted to do something else as they just sat here with each other right now. She wanted to call her brother, so that she can check on Diego and see how he's doing; not that he blames her, as he would want to do the same thing if Violet had COVID-19. He just hopes that he doesn't have to deal with that for a while, even though he does know it's a possibility now that she may be going to see her father. The father that he doesn't trust. But that wasn't what he was thinking about at the moment, as Jim is no longer part of his family; with the exception that he's Violet's father. Other than that, he could care less what happens to his ex-brother-in-law. For all he cares, he could just take it easy and stay away from his family. Then again, he also understands the importance of family.
And he also knows that it's what Violet needs. She needs to have her father in her life, so he's going to support her and his sister every step of the way as they allow Jim back into their lives; but that doesn't mean that he's going to let him have any money. That's something that's not going to happen, and he's already told his sister about it. Jim is not getting any of the family money from him, and she can do what she pleases with her money. But if she runs out, then don't come crawling to him just because you decided to spend all of your money on your ex-husband. If he had it his way, he wouldn't be anywhere near his family; nor would he be in contact with Violet. But right now, that's not on his mind as he's instead going to concentrate on his children…as well as the conversation that he and Gabby plan on having with her brother about how Diego is. And he knew that they had to star it soon, as Gabby was worried.
She was worried about how her nephew is doing, and just what this has done to him; and whether there's something that they need to know about. But right now, they aren't going to worry too much as they also know that they're safe here in their home. The home that they share with each other, as well as their beautiful children. But now, it's finally time to make that call, which is something that he finally decided to tell his wife. "So, are we going to make the call while we eat breakfast? Or would you rather wait until after we've eaten breakfast?" Taking a breath, Gabby sighed as she didn't know what she wanted to do yet. She didn't know whether she wanted to wait to make the call, or whether she wanted to do it while they were eating breakfast with each other. "What do you think we should do?" Matt sighed as he reached out and grabbed his wife's hand. "I think we need to call soon." Gabby agreed with Matt.
After all, he must have a reason behind that statement; the statement telling her that they should make the call soon. "Any specific reason why we should make the call sooner, rather than later?" Matt snickered. "Because we both know that you're just going to obsess if you don't make the call." Gabby agreed with Matt, as that most certainly is the truth; she's going to obsess about how her nephew is if she doesn't make the call. So, that's exactly what she's going to do as she sits here in bed with her family. "And you're positive that you're okay with me doing this?" Matt agreed with his wife, as he's more than okay with her doing it; especially since they could do it right now. "I mean, we're just eating breakfast as the kids play on the ground. And if you need me after, then we can put the girls in their cribs; and we can hold each other close as the boys keep playing on the ground together." Gabby laughed.
After all, she knew the real thing that her husband wanted; and it wasn't to hold her only if she needed him to. Rather, he wanted to hold her after the phone call. "Yeah right, you want to hold me after breakfast; I already know you Casey. So don't even deny that you don't want to set the girls aside after breakfast." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that, before leaning in and proceeding to kiss the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "You really do know me very well." Gabby agreed with Matt, due to the fact that she's the woman he loves; and because she loves him more than anything in the entire world. "It's due to the fact that I love you more than anything in the entire world, that's how I know you so well." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before leaning in and going to kiss her once more. After which, he smiled as he leaned back and went back to eating his breakfast this morning.
Yet, at the same time he wanted Gabby to stop stalling when it comes to calling her brother. "OK. Can you please just…" All of a sudden, he was interrupted by his phone ringing; so, he reached over and went to grab it. "What are the odds." Gabby was confused as she heard Matt say that, not understanding just what her husband is talking about. "What are you talking about baby?" Matt laughed as he turned his phone so that it was facing Gabby, that way she could see the Caller ID. And just who might be calling? Well, it would be one Antonio Dawson. "Well? Answer it!" Matt agreed with his wife as she told him to answer the call that he was receiving from her brother, doing just that as he wanted to speak to him this morning. "What are the odds of you calling me?" Antonio snickered as he heard his brother-in-law say that. "Yeah, I think we both knew it would happen at some point." Gabby snickered, before smiling.
"No. Funny thing is, we were about to call you."
And it was only then that Antonio understood what Matt meant when he said that, it was the odds that they were going to call each other at the same time. "Well, considering it's someone's birthday; I think the odds would be pretty high." Matt agreed with Antonio as he said that, before setting his phone down on the bed (it was already on speakerphone). That way, he and Gabby could share the phone call that they were having with her brother quite easily; while also not worrying that he wouldn't be able to hear either one of them. And that was due to the fact that the phone was directly in the middle of the both of them. And that was exactly what was needed, as they may be speaking to him for a while; that's always what happens after all, they have long conversations with their family. "So, let me start with this. Happy birthday brother." Matt laughed as he heard Antonio say that, grateful he started with that.
"Thanks Antonio, and I'm glad that you started with that."
Confused, Antonio then proceeded to question why he was glad that he decided to start with that. "Any particular reason why you're glad that I decided to start with saying that?" Matt sighed as Antonio asked him that question, before going to explain. "It starts off the conversation on a good note. Well, better note than it's going to end." Taking a breath, Antonio agreed with Matt as he said that; well aware that was the case. After all, he was well aware of one of the real topics that they needed to talk about. And that would be the fact that they just learned that Diego has COVID. "Yeah, we have no clue how it happened, or where he got it." Gabby agreed with her brother as he said that, well aware that was the case. "Well, I bet that's something that they need to find out." Antonio agreed with his sister, as that most certainly is something that they're going to have to do; they just know how they're going to do it.
"We just don't know how they're going to do it, and we're going to have to figure it out."
Matt agreed with his brother-in-law, as he wanted to make sure that he knew that he had them on their side. "I just hope you know that you have our full support right now, and we're going to make sure that we help you. What are his symptoms? Or is he just resting in bed right now?" Antonio agreed with Matt. "He's taking it easy and resting in bed, which is good. And they say that it isn't as bad for kids, so we shouldn't need to worry about it." Matt agreed with Antonio as he said. "Well, let me know if there's anything that I can do for you guys. Whatever you and Laura need to make sure that Diego feels better, I am going to make sure that you have all the resources." Gabby smiled as she heard her husband say that, because it just makes her love him more each and every day; and she's definitely going to show him that when they're done eating breakfast. She wants to cuddle up to her man and hold him close.
But she also knows that her husband may want to cuddle up to his daughter. Then again, maybe he'll want her more if she's not wearing a bra, which is something that she most certainly isn't wearing, as she knew that her husband would want that. She knew that he wanted her to be braless under her shirt, so that's exactly what she is: she's braless, and Matt finds that very sexy. But right now, he isn't concentrating on that as he needs to concentrate on the conversation that he's having with his brother-in-law. "I just hope that he gets through this quickly, and that he recovers; and I hope that Eva learns from this and doesn't do what her brother did." Matt agreed with Antonio as he said that. "What did he do to get COVID anyways?" Antonio sighed. "He took off his mask on the CTA." Gabby sighed, as that was something that he knew was a bad idea. "Yeah, that's not a good idea." Antonio agreed with his sister.
"And I literally told Eva that. I told her that she's grounded if she does what her brother did, as she knows that I see you some."
Matt agreed with Antonio, before making sure that he doesn't talk to him about something. "Okay, please make sure that you don't talk about work; as I am not going to be talking about work on my birthday." Antonio agreed with his brother-in-law as he said that, well aware that was the case. "Yeah, I know. I was already told that by my sister yesterday." Turning her head, Gabby looked at her husband. "I told all of our employees that they are to talk to Rafael today, they are not to disturb you." Matt agreed with his wife, well aware that was the case. "I know, he texted me. He said that he has the company under control. He and David do." Gabby agreed with her husband, well aware that was the case as she grabbed his hand; and that was due to the fact that she's really happy at the moment. She's happy that they're spending this quality time with each other, and their beautiful children this morning.
Making his way back upstairs after bringing his and Gabby's plates downstairs, Matt smiled as he looked at his handsome sons as they played in their play pen; and even better, they're playing nice with each other. And that's something that always makes Matt smile, his sons playing nice with each other. So, he's going to tell his sons that; but first, he bent down and looked at his sons. "Hey little guys, thanks for playing nice with each other." Turning her head, Gabby smiled as she was really happy right now. "Now, if that isn't an adorable sight." Turning his head, Matt smiled and agreed with his wife as that was something that he loved the sound of…his wife complimenting him when it came to their children. And he wanted to show her that, by giving her something that he knows she wants right now, a sweet kiss from her birthday boy husband. And he most certainly can't wait to give her a kiss, as he loves to kiss her.
Smiling at Gabby as he walked up to her side of the bed, Matt smiled as he moved his hand to the side of her face and leaned over her so that he could kiss her softly. "I love you." Gabby agreed with Matt, as she loves him too. "I love you too." Smiling at Gabby, Matt gave her another kiss before standing up and adjusting his boxers. He then proceeded to make his way over to his side of the bed, so that he can get back in bed with his girls. "So, where were we right now?" Gabby smiled as she looked up at her husband. "Antonio is talking to me about whether I have anything that I can give to Eva to do, related to Casey Creations." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, before laughing. "I think we should wait a bit." Gabby was confused as she heard her husband say that, as was Antonio. "And why would that be the case?" Matt sighed as he grabbed Bella again, while also getting in bed with his family right now.
"Well, we are getting close to April and…"
Antonio then realized what he was talking about. "Ah, now I get it. You want her to concentrate on her exams. The ones that she has to finish for school. God, I am so glad that we were able to transfer her to the University of Illinois at Chicago's Online School in the middle of the term. So much easier to have her at the hometown school. I just hope you know that she's not transferring again." Matt laughed, as he knew that was the case. "Oh, I am not going to let her transfer. I already had to change where I am paying. First, it was UCLA; then it was the University of Hawaii, and now it's the University of Illinois at Chicago." Antonio agreed with his brother as he said that, well aware that was the case. "Just to let you know, I found Eva a place where she can get free textbooks in eBook format. So, she's going to do that." Matt agreed with Antonio as he said that, glad that was the case as it'll make things a lot easier for her.
"I think that's for the best, as it means that she's safe at home."
Antonio agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. "I promise that I'm going to keep you in the loop when it comes to the schooling situation, and I'm just glad that we're doing this." Matt agreed with Antonio as he said that, as that was something that he wanted. "Thanks Antonio, I do want that." Antonio snickered. "One of four years completed. Class of 2024." Matt agreed with him. "Is she going to do summer school?" Antonio thought about it. "We'll see. Maybe she can if things are still bad in the summer, rather than just have her sitting around in her room in the middle of summer." Matt agreed with Antonio, as he thought that was a good idea. "I think that would be a good idea, but don't force her." Antonio agreed with his brother-in-law as he said that, not that he can really force her. "Well, I think we both know that we can't force Dawson women to do anything." Gabby laughed.
After all, that most certainly is the truth; nobody can ever force the Dawson women to do anything, due to the fact that she is one of them. Turning her head, Gabby smiled as she looked at the man she loves. "Sorry baby. As much as I love you, and I love my new last name; I'm still a Dawson at heart." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, well aware that she's a Dawson at heart. "As long as you're my Ms. Casey in public, then I am more than okay with you being Ms. Gabriela Dawson at heart." Gabby agreed with Matt, before reaching over and putting her hand on his neck; after which, she kissed him softly and took things nice and slow with the man she loves more than anything in the entire world. "I love you." Matt agreed with his wife, well aware that was the case. Of course, he knows that Gabby loves him, as he feels the same way about his gorgeous wife; and the mother of his children.
And she's also the woman he wants to kiss, just as soon as they're done on the phone with her brother, which is something that he decided to whisper to her. "I want to share a nice kiss with you when we're done on the phone with your brother." Gabby smiled, agreeing with Matt as she feels the same way; she wants to take things nice and slow with the man she loves, as they hold each other in bed. So, she decided to nod to just let him know that's exactly what they're going to do once they're done on the phone with her brother. They're going to take things nice and slow with each other, as they hold each other close in bed.
Their little girls were now in their cribs, and their sons were playing nicely with each other in their play pen, which meant that he and Gabby now had the ability to do exactly what they want. And that would be to told each other close, and to relax as they cuddle up to each other in bed. And let's just say that Matt is more than ready to do just that, hold his wife close to him in bed. And that's exactly what he's going to do, as they cuddle up to each other in bed. And since everything was in order for him to be able to do that, he could now do that. He can now get in bed with the woman he loves and take things nice and slow with her. "I have to say, I still love the sight of you walking around in your boxers." Matt snickered as he heard Gabby say that, well aware that was the case. "Oh, I am well aware that's the case." Gabby smiled as she continued to watch the man she loves walk over to her in their bed.
After which, she rolled over onto her back and looked up at him. "Oh, you are so damn sexy." Gabby agreed with Matt, while also watching him walk right over to her side of the bed; after which, he leaned over her and put his hands next to her on the bed. Leaning down, Matt smirked as he kissed his wife softly. "I love you." Moving her hands to Matt's neck, Gabby agreed with him and just started to take things nice and slow with her handsome husband. "I love you too, and I am ready to cuddle up to you." Matt nodded, while also watching her slip over in bed; he then climbed into bed and smirked as he got ready to hold her in his arms. He then slipped over in bed too and closed the covers up on top of the both of them. "God, I am so glad that this is what we decided to do." Gabby agreed with her husband, as he proceeded to wrap his arms around her and tugged her body against his chest right now.
Meanwhile, Gabby put her hands on his face and smiled as she slipped her legs in between his. "How are you liking your birthday so far?" Matt smirked. "Let me see. I have my beautiful wife in my arms, our sons are playing in their play pen here in our room, and my little girls are in their cribs." Gabby nodded as she heard Matt say that, before leaning in and kissing the man she loves once more. "God, I am just so turned on whether you walk around in your boxers like that." Matt smirked, well aware that was the case. "Oh, I know that you love it when I walk around in my boxers." Gabby smiled as she then got close to him and wrapped her arms around his neck; at the same time, Matt wrapped his arm around her back and turned his head to look down at his beautiful wife. Bending down, Matt smirked as he started to take things nice and slow with his extremely beautiful wife. The woman of his dreams.
"Now this is what I call a perfect birthday."
Gabby agreed with Matt, well aware that was the truth; this was his definition of a perfect birthday. He had his family close to him, as they cuddled up to each other and just held each other close. "Are you okay with it just being me in bed?" Matt agreed with Gabby, as he most certainly is okay with it just being her in bed right now. "It's what I want right now. I want it to be just you and me in bed, as we cuddle up to each other." Taking a breath, Gabby looked at her husband. "Are you regretting that we have the kids right now?" Matt shook his head, as that most certainly isn't the truth. "Hey, don't you dare think that. I love the fact that we have the kids here, as I want to celebrate my birthday with the kids. Heck, I want to take a walk with them at some point as we need to take a walk with Andy." Gabby agreed with Matt once more, well aware that was something that they were going to have to do.
They were going to have to take Andy on a walk, and they were going to bring the kids out too. "Are we going to take the kids out too?" Matt bit his lip. "I think we can, since we can just walk somewhere nearby. Unless you're too worried, then we can just walk around the house. We can walk around the backyard." Gabby smiled, as that most certainly is something that she's interested in doing. "I think that's something that I like the sound of, us walking around the backyard rather than out in the public." Matt smirked as he heard Gabby say that, before bending down and kissing her once more; after which, he took things nice and slow with his beautiful wife. "I swear, you are so damn sexy and I am so glad that this is how we're spending the day right now." Gabby agreed with Matt, as she knew that this is what he wanted to do right now. He wanted to hold her close, as the kids relax.
"Do you want to face them? Or are you okay with me facing them?"
Matt smiled, as he was okay with him facing his wife right now. "I'm okay with this, because I want to hold the most beautiful woman in the entire world close to me." Gabby agreed with her husband and smiled as he started to take things nice and slow with his wife. The wife that he loves more than anything in the entire world. "So, what are you thinking right now? Do you need to talk about anything?" Gabby shook her head, as she just wants to cuddle up to her husband right now. "I just want to cuddle up to my handsome husband right now on his birthday." Matt smirked as he heard Gabby say that, while running his hand up and down her back. "Best way to spend my birthday, here in bed with my girl." Gabby agreed with Matt, well aware that was the case. "Just remember, no sex." Matt snickered, well aware that he wasn't having sex with his wife here in their room; especially when the kids are here.
"Oh, trust me, I'm not going to have sex with you when the kids are in here."
Gabby smiled as she looked at Matt, while also thinking about something….the fact that they boys are almost one.
"Speaking of our kids, the boys turn one in four weeks."
