A.N. — First we had a big, beefy baddie. Then we got a wispy, wimpy warrior. Now, here's a normal, nice, non-quirked (probably) character... who just happened to coin the term quirked. Her end of life was tragic, but here is a hopeful period.
72. The Mother of Quirks (Chikara Yotsubashi's mother)
She didn't set out to be a pioneer. She just wanted her son to be treated fairly.
Meta abilities were changing the social landscape for the worse. Those blessed with newfound powers were more often than not abusing them. That her son, a mere child, was being demonized right alongside those lawless reprobates made her fear for Chikara's future safety.
She took to calling his power a quirk, trying to erase the stigma. Her ideals couldn't overcome the ingrained hate shown to those with meta abilities, but in time she gave birth to a movement as the Mother of Quirks.
A.N. 2 — I forgot the effect Daylight Savings Time had when I posted yesterday, so I technically posted twice in a 24-hour span and my story didn't jump to the top of the Just Updated section or the BnHA category. So, check out The Fly's chapter if you haven't already. Additionally, ff.n is still screwed up; I apologize for the summary/image/tags not reflecting the daily updates. It's scuff, but it's not my fault!
