A.N. — There's a birthday fellow tomorrow, so today is one of his underlings. None of the Eight Bullets have a canon birth date, so I can put them wherever I want. And that means this one gets to stay by his boss.

78. Hekiji Tengai

Despite being new to the Shie Hassaikai, Hekiji's composure compared to the rest of the Eight Bullets was quickly appreciated and even depended upon.

He was austere in dress and attitude, and an oddity among the yakuza: he resorted to violence as a last resort. Whispered speculation ran rife in the hallways: did Hekiji think himself so above his opponents so as not to bother with them, or was he just so used to playing defense that his offensive had been blunted (much like his personality)?

Everyone agreed, though: Hekiji's disappointed stare settled debates even better than his Barrier quirk.

A.N. 2 — If anyone knows of a fic out there that has Hekiji Tengai serving as a mentor to Izuku ('cause every other adult seemingly has had their turn), let me know.
