A.N. — Back-to-back UA teachers, though this one doesn't get an actual name. Yesterday was the Modern Lit teacher, and today it's the Math professor. I hate how canon birthdays means I've already gone through a good deal of the UA staff. Still, happy birthday to Ectoplasm!
82. Ectoplasm
Most students Ectoplasm taught didn't have the kick-ass prosthetics he did, so he helped them hone their super moves instead.
His subject was math, but that class was largely loathed. And he often ranked high in the polls of which heroes actually looked like villains. So, he had to win his charges' trust with tough love.
To outsiders, Ectoplasm was known for his hero's heart and strength in numbers. But to those who graduated both physically and mentally stronger after experiencing his tutelage, Ectoplasm was their steadfast supporter. He shared his history so they never had to repeat it.
A.N. 2 — After posting, I went to go add Ectoplasm to the tagged characters... he's not an option. I ranted about this in my Harry Potter collection "Census" a lot, but this is the first stunner for this story. You think a UA faculty member with appearances across multiple arcs would be important enough to merit inclusion.
