A.N. — Here is someone from the Vigilantes manga to break up the string of hero birthdays this stretch of March brings. Another Instant Villain, because I like stories about tragic figures. And this drabble guest stars someone yet to come, and someone already featured.
83. Akira Iwako
Villains didn't just oppose heroes; Akira Iwako was a prime example of this.
Akira was an Instant Villain, more victim than actual villain. Even Trigger-enhanced, his hardening quirk was nothing special, his aggression expected. Yet, Stendhal and his katana had confronted Akira, permanently putting him down.
The kill had only further built up Stendhal's reputation, but it also made those who know Akira think back on someone they hadn't devoted much thought to originally. Koichi Haimawari had been on Stendhal's side in the battle, but he would miss one of the few people who remembered him as The Crawler.
A.N. 2 — Stendhal is classified as a vigilante, but killing someone like this makes them a villain in my book, at least. Of course, as Stain, he went whole hog on that...
