A world with quirks means its people are wind up rather quirky. Whether heroes, villains, or somewhere in-between, every BnHA character deserves to have their story told. These are but tiny 100-word snippets of their lives, told one a day, every day, in 2023. Newest chapter: Mina Ashido is a vivacious hero in training. She's equally enthusiastic about her classmates' love lives.

89. Shikkui Makabe (Mr Smith)

A.N. — It's time for another birthday, and today's character is one of those rare hero students not enrolled at UA. It's also time for an end-of-month petition for more comments/critiques. I'll keep plugging along at this, no worries, but feedback can help direct me (or even just letting me know when I forget to title chapters). Anyway, happy birthday Shikkui Makabe!

89. Shikkui Makabe/Mr. Smith

Heroes tended to favor quirks over weapons in combat. Shikkui considered himself lucky that he got to utilize the best of both worlds.

He got labeled as a support-type hero due to his potent team-up with fellow classmate Itejiro Toteki, but Shikkui was a formidable presence in his own right during battle. His quirk was called Stiffening, but the snickering stopped as everyday items were molded into dangerous weapons in his hands. No one was gonna make fun of his hairless, blue appearance when innocuous objects could be used against them (not that Shikkui would ever do that...).
