A.N. — I, personally, love the theory that this man doesn't have a quirk; he's just that good at reading people. He's rather plain otherwise, so of course his quirk is what I focused his drabble on (my other plan of dissecting his friendship with All Might could be utilized elsewhere). Happy early birthday, Naomasa Tsukauchi!
92. Naomasa Tsukauchi/True Man
Naomasa couldn't even lie to himself. Big fibs or white lies both pinged as false in his quirk. It made it very difficult to reassure himself when crime surged and cases seemed unsolvable. All Might could smile even through his worries, but Naomasa was a realist: when your quirk split everything into two opposing factions, finding a comfortable middle ground was nearly impossible.
Even without his quirk's aid, Naomasa enjoyed working through problems to find the correct solution. As a detective, that drive was essential. But still, every time Naomasa was told he was somebody's hero, a faint reprobation reverberated.
