98. Tomoko Shiretoko (Ragdoll)

A.N. — Here's the second of the four Wild Wild Pussycats, and the most tragic of the bunch. You'll notice I did two humor drabbles before today's angst bomb of a chapter. Happy birthday, Tomoko Shiretoko!

With distance, Tomoko could see how having her quirk stolen by All for One was an acknowledgement of respect — Search was apparently that valuable. Tomoko, though, was stuggling to see the value in herself as a hero in the aftermath of the life-changing attack.

The other Pussycats were there for her, said she'd always have a spot on the team. But her defeatist mien drowned out the support: how could she be a rescue hero if she'd forgotten how to save herself? Ragdoll felt as limp as her namesake without the comforting sensation of Search pulsing under her skin.
