A.N. — Besides the birthday issue I mentioned in my postscript author's note yesterday, another problem I see with Horikoshi's date picking is lumping a lot of UA students close together. Today is one example of this (though the most egregious cluster is late July/early August). All this is a long way of saying happy birthday to study abroad student Pony Tsunotori.
111. Pony Tsunotori/Rocketti
Even the language barrier couldn't completely explain away Pony's befuddlement at her classmates, and UA in general. Perhaps she'd been watching too much anime, but her shows were starting to reflect real life.
Between Monoma's conceited nature, Setsuna's floating body parts, and Manga's literal dialogue head, Pony thought she fit right in at not fitting in. She was self-aware enough to know she was a walking trope to the natives: a Texan with long horns, blonde hair, and a tenuous grasp on Japanese. But through dedicated effort, Pony would make sure Rocketti rose to main character status soon enough.
