A world with quirks means its people are wind up rather quirky. Whether heroes, villains, or somewhere in-between, every BnHA character deserves to have their story told. These are but tiny 100-word snippets of their lives, told one a day, every day, in 2023. Newest chapter: Mina Ashido is a vivacious hero in training. 112. Mr Brave

A.N. — Apparently, there are only three canonically LGBT characters in BnHA: Himiko Toga is bi (Mineta's a maybe?), and Tiger and Magne are trans. That means today is me speculating rather than adhering to source material. Why, you ask? 'Cause it's SilverPrince's (Lyoko422) birthday today, and he has always supported my slash stories. So, even though this isn't Code Lyoko, this one's still for him.

112. Mr. Brave

Mr. Brave, it was assumed, chose his hero name to exemplify his courage. He kept the real reason private: it was purely aspirational on his part. Eventually, he wanted to muster the strength to be the first pro to come out of the closet.

Not that he had much of a career to potentially ruin by disclosing his sexuality in the first place. His optimistic side hoped his ranking would actually get a boost by being an openly gay pro. However, Mr. Brave felt he'd surely fall victim to the public's petty, nitpicking attitude about every little facet of heroism.
