A.N. — I had a run of four heroes in a row before these last few chapters; consequently, you all are getting a streak of villains. We're back in main canon now, with one of the Eight Bullets. Strange how none of them get birth dates when the two bit players before them did. 'Course, this guy thinks he's trash and probably is isn't worthy of one...

116. Yu Hojo

For someone whose quirk produced many-faceted crystals, Yu was very single-minded.

The glittering byproducts of Crystallize had no monetary value, and Yu thought much the same of his self-worth. Without the Shie Hassaikai to serve, he'd still be on the streets. It didn't matter how extraordinary the crystals made him look or how versatile offensively or defensively they were — the past trauma because of his quirk tainted Yu's perception of it forevermore.

Yu devoted himself, body and soul, to Overhaul and his cause. His boss could remake matter, but even that ability couldn't alter Yu's defeatist mentality.
