A.N. — It's a rainy day where I'm at; that made me wonder if anyone in BnHA had a quirk like that. Outside of Nine, it appears the answer is no. I'm rectifying that missed opportunity here with a character whose name means "Early May rain." Canon might invalidate this idea later, but for now, it could be true (even though it's just me making up facts whole-cloth).
135. Samidare Asui
His sister might be the Rainy Season Hero, but Samidare was the Asui who could summon actual precipitation.
Samidare's quirk, Downpour, wasn't too powerful yet — he was only 10. It was convenient for his frog-like family to keep their skin hydrated, but most others didn't appreciate the sudden appearance of dark grey clouds bearing rain. But Samidare had a vision for his future. He wanted to follow his sister into heroics, even though he'd probably be fighting fires rather than doing water rescues. And, maybe one day, the Asui's would be as famous as the Iida's in the industry.
A.N. 2 — Before the weather changed my plans, Samidare's drabble was going to be all about him being a budding emo kid. But he is still getting paired with his younger sister, so look forward to that tomorrow.
