These are but tiny 100-word snippets of their lives, told one a day, every day, in 2023. Newest chapter: Mina Ashido is a vivacious hero in training. 140. Shinji Nishiya (Kamui Woods)

A.N. — I wanted to geek out like Izuku about the quirk of today's birthday hero. But that drabble actually turned out boring, so I decided to dig into this guy's personality instead. Third option was that documentary on his dark childhood (no surprise, with a mutant-type quirk). Happy birthday, Kamui Woods!

140. Shinji Nishiya/Kamui Woods

His Lacquered Chain Prison bound tight, but the most constricting thing about Kamui Woods were the strict guidelines he held himself to.

It probably wasn't the wisest choice for his rankings, especially considering he'd only recently debuted, but Shinji wanted to meet a higher standard. He couldn't stand heroes skirting the edges of legality, or those glory hogs in it only for the headlines. Kamui Woods' adherence to his code of conduct was as steadfast as Arbor's wood.

So, it came as a façade-breaking shock when the Billboard Charts ranked him No. 7. Apparently, the public appreciated his dedication!
