A.N. — The other character besides Ojiro born on May 28 is one of the main players of Vigilantes. And because I've only flipped through a few volumes of that series, I am far less acquainted with her than I should be. That also meant she got shifted a day. So, happy late birthday to Kazuho Haneyama.
149. Kazuho Haneyama/Pop✩Step
The differences between Kazuho's civilian and vigilante selves were revealing — and she wasn't just talking about her costume.
Kazuho the girl was someone who couldn't muster up the courage to confess to her crush. Pop✩Step the idol brought a level of enthusiasm to her street performances that was absent elsewhere in her life. And as a vigilante, Kazuho's intellect shone because her brains saved the rest of the group from being toast.
In reality, Kazuho was still the kid trying to choose between stardom as a hero or singer. Spanning this gulf was one Leap she couldn't (wouldn't) make.
A.N. 2 — Here on ff.n, it took multiple tries to find a star symbol that the system would allow for Pop✩Step's name. At AO3, it saved properly the first time. They both wound up looking the same, but this was yet another instance of this site being more frustrating to use than that one.
