A.N. — Rarely is a character such a blatant homage as today's birthday hero is. So, of course, I focused on an entirely different aspect of this guy instead. And it gave me an excuse to loop in some other fan-favorite characters in the process! So happy birthday to His Purple Highness, Tenma Nakaoji.
158. Tenma Nakaoji/His Purple Highness
By picking Midnight for the work studies program at his agency, Tenma was inadvertently signing up a trio. He'd be tempted to call them "the terrible trio," but two of them actually didn't need much tutelage.
Nemuri and Oboro were all smiles and attitude, exactly the type of flamboyant hero His Purple Highness tried to mold. But Shota was sullen, and had very little personal magnetism. If if weren't for his friends, Tenma would've urged Eraserhead to intern elsewhere.
But all three had good heads on their shoulders, and that was more important... loathe as he was to admit it.
A.N. 2 — This internship, of course, ended tragically. But instead of addressing that here, I'll save it for Garvey's drabble sometime later.
