163. Sen Kaibara (Spiral)

A.N. — I did say yesterday brought to a close a run of heroes, but today's birthday celebrant is a still a student and thus not fully qualified yet. Honestly, to me, he's probably the least interesting member of his class. But this drabble is his chance to get the spotlight. Happy birthday, Sen Kaibara.

163. Sen Kaibara/Spiral

He was no Monoma, but Sen did resent Class 1-A. His belligerence, though, was justified.

Sen had failed to make it to the one-on-one matches at the Sports Festival. He'd been knocked out by Mustard's gas at the summer training camp. All of 1-B earned their provisional hero licenses, but hadn't had to beat their 1-A counterparts to do so.

When the time came to finally face his opposition directly, Sen was the only member of his team captured. Sen emulated his hero name and spiraled in self-doubt despite Vlad King naming him MVP of the match.
