A.N. — For a character with a pretty pertinent point to make about Japan's society, this guy really got no traction. He, IMO, could've been so much more had he chosen another way. His takedown, too, was one of the more unbelievable moments of the series for me. Anyway, happy birthday to Chizome Akaguro.
165. Chizome Akaguro/Stendhal/Stain
When the lawful and lawless became indistinguishable, Chizome decided to take the law into his own hands. When the terms "hero" and villain" had become muddled beyond comprehension, Stendhal was there to distinguish the true pillars of justice from those sullying its name. In a world now saturated with fights between good and evil, Stain's plan to "revive" the true name of heroics still stood out for its amount of blood and bodies.
Those labeled "good" could be bad, and those called "bad" were capable of goodness. Until everyone else realized this, Stain would continue culling the ranks of pretenders.
