These are but tiny 100-word snippets of their lives, told one a day, every day, in 2023. Newest chapter: Mina Ashido is a vivacious hero in training. 184. Inko Midoriya

A.N. — There are four BnHA characters born on the 4th of July; they are being covered over the next four days. I started with probably the most popular of the bunch, though she doesn't get the actual date because... well, you'll see tomorrow. But today is all about wishing Inko Midoriya a happy birthday.

184. Inko Midoriya

Inko Midoriya had made her son his first hero suit. She knew he'd outgrow it pretty quickly. She just hoped Izuku wouldn't also outgrow her. It scared her that, perhaps, he already had.

By apologizing for Izuku's quirklessness, rather than approving of his heroic dreams, Inko had created a rift in the Midoriya home. Izuku was too kind to mention it, but the spark in his eyes since starting UA was all the evidence Inko needed. With every stitch, each home-cooked meal, she tried to make up for her past actions, for hurting the most precious thing in her life.

A.N. 2 — I've said before I have a half-dozen longer story ideas (well, longer than drabbles) for this fandom. The one centered around Inko is the one closest to fruition, though I did keep this drabble separate from that outline.
